HTC One M8 :: BlinkFeed - How To Add Custom RSS Feeds To Highlights
Jun 12, 2014
I've been able to add custom RSS feeds to Blinkfeed, but how can I get them into the Highlights? Right now the only way to access those feeds is to swipe from the left and select each individual custom feed, which results in Blinkfeed only showing items from that one custom feed. Then I have go back and do the same for each other custom feed, and then once again to get back to Highlights.
Ideally, I'd like to be able to see the items from all of the feeds (custom and otherwise) in the Highlights category so I don't have to go back and forth.
The customization within Settings "Add topics to Highlights" doesn't give me the option to add the custom feeds.

I recently got a replacement M7 back from HTC and the blinkfeed highlights just won't show up. I can see the content if I go to the individual pages for content, say for CNN, but when I go back to highlights there is no content to show.

I cannot find any documentation of how to do this other than manually reentering all of the feeds. I cannot believe that the RSS feeds aren't backed up somewhere in the full backup file like the BBM contact list is. Does anyone know ehere the data is and how it can be backed up and restored?

All it does is randomly tag photos and add another useless album that takes up screen space. If I want a photo tagged, I'd do it myself. I don't need the phone deciding for me.

Installed 4.3 on my Sprint HTC One earlier today. From my understanding, you can now add your own music to Highlights. The option is there when a Highlight is created, but when I choose "Select Music" it brings me to a menu with only four options (see attached):
Chimes
Facebook Pop
Join Hangout
Venture
I can't seem to find a way to search another folder in my phone. I've downloaded some songs from Google Music onto my phone

I just received the 4.3 update for my HTC One, and I noticed that a lot of the video highlight themes that I'd been able to choose before the update are gone.

We have an iPhone 5s here that once the screen is powered on it displays red frames or highlights around available tap objects which cycles from one/group to the next and repeating endlessly. I thought it might be an app or an accessibility feature but I can find the source.

Having problems with saving Video Highlights after updating to Android 4.3 and Sense 5.5? Since I updated, I can't save the videos... Gets to about 7 to 10% and then freezes. I am able to construct and edit the videos but I can't save or share like I could before...

I'd like to like the automatic photo highlight reels the gallery app creates, but why does it insist on inserting falling leaves and snow, etc. On pictures when it makes no sense?Pictures taken in June do not need falling autumn leaves. Is there anyway to disable the season effects from being applied across all highlights?

I don't know if this has always been like this and I've just not noticed but there is a ton of Google drive postings coming across BlinkFeed. I already have Google drive so I don't need to sign up, it's just really annoying. Is there a way to get rid of it?

Just wondering where blink feed is in everyone's battery stats? For me it always seems to be really high up, currently second on list after chrome having used 8% and I'm down to 30%. I know blink feed is the whole launcher but just surprised its so high as don't think I ever even saw Google now launcher mentioned on my nexus 5.

For the last 3 or 4 days my HTC One's BlinkFeed screen keeps failing to update. Even if I try to force it, nothing happens so I figure I may just need to clear its data as that seems to work with other apps, however I can't seem to find a BlinkFeed app when exploring the All Apps section of the device nor do I find some sort of clear cache option for it.

I turned off Blinkfeed from my pages. And to make sure no sync is going on I even turned off sync accounts in Blinkfeed before turning off.
For some reason it is still draining the most battery on my phone?

Bought the Nexus 5 I decide to start utilizing cloud storage more but I'm now facing a very irritating problem. In the Photos app when you view backed-up pics they are grouped by date. This is so frustrating since I have a bunch of albums with only one pic.
I have about forty pics people sent to me though WhatsApp and every single pic has it's own album. I have a separate folder for "family" "friends" "dance" things that make sense grouped together. I took the time to curate every pic into specific folders but auto back up jacks everything up.

I have owned my HTC One for over half a year now and am currently running stock 4.3 with Sense 5.0. Over the past week I have noticed that blinkfeed no longer updates in the background. I have it set to auto update over data and wifi, but it won't even auto update while it is connected to wifi and charging. I always have to pull it down to manually update recently. I have tried rebooting and changing the update preferences, but no luck. I really love blinkfeed. So, this is a big issue in my eyes.

Not sure what's happened, but of late, when I press a Facebook article in my blinkfeed, it used to jump to the correct Facebook post in the app. Now it just loads the app and defaults to the top of my News Feed.

Enter since I set up my replacement device, I've seen posts on Blinkfeed about getting 100 GB of storage from Google Drive. It shows up multiple times on my feed, even though I already set up my drive space months ago when I originally got my One M8. How to remove it? I don't see it listed anywhere in the settings.

How do I gain access to the RSS feeds set up in my device? The only access I was able to figure out is to set an RSS widget on the home screen. However, I cannot delete any RSS feeds. And I cannot find any app or setting to manage them. In addition, setting up the update interval for RSS feeds would be helpful. The RSS widget does not seem to comply with the "widgets offline" status. It updates the feed every 4 hours regardless of the widget settings. I am using a Nokia E7, but I assume that this applies to any Symbian^3 device with PR1.1 installed.

I deleted the Social Feeds application after installing the OS6 upgrade thinking I would not use it. I would like to try it out again, but can't find where to download the application. I've searched AppWorld, and can't find it. I upgraded via the OTA and when I plug in the BB to Mac Desktop Manager 2.0, I also don't see the option to installing.

On my Elm the Web Feeds are suddenly grayed out. I was using them recently but now cannot access them at all. Anyone else with this problem? Apart from completely reinstalling the firmware (which I am reluctant to do as it means reinstalling all the software I have purchased) does anyone have any suggestions as to how to make them reappear?

I've amassed quite a few podcast feeds on my iPhone 4 (iOS 5.0.1) and wanted to remove them to free up memory on the phone. (I don't syncy through iTunes on my mac, I download them direct to the phone.) I usually just swipe and delete and removed them all last night in this way. But now all podcasts and feeds appear ghosted and can't be played or swiped. The funny thing is, the memory seems to have been freed up, so although they appear ghosted on the phone, are not actually there. I just want to remove the whole list and start again. I've tried the Settings > Usage > Music > Edit route and podcasts ahev doisappeared too.

iPhone 4, iOS 5, 32GB
