Haven't trouble here my HTC one m7 won't recognize any flash drive I try use for back up. I seen videos where all they did is plug it in with a micro to usb adapter and it works.

I am looking to do some traveling and would prefer to leave the laptop at home. I have a flash drive that needs to be used during that time but is locked and the information cannot be extracted or removed. It can only be accessed using the flash drive. Is there any way to make this work with XOOM?

View 15 Replies View RelatedI've purchased my Galaxy S6 (SM-G920F) a month earlier. It has updated to Lollipop 5.1.1 15 days before. Yesterday, I bought a OTG cable but it can't read 64GB flash drive. However, it can read all 2 of my 32GB flash drives.
Why:
1. it is not reading 64GB flash drive?
2. what to do to read 64GB, 128GB or more storage via OTG cable?
I can listen to music and watch videos on my Xoom2 via Wi-Fi from my computer but when I try the same music or videos from a USB Flash Drive, I can see all the files but when I try to play any of them the Xoom2 goes to "Settings".

I am wondering if there is a way to back up EVERYTHING on my iPhone as well as my Missus iphone but save it all on an external hard drive. My Lumia 920's Skydrive Storage Options (Settings -> Backup -> Photos) doesn't show "Photos + Videos" like everyone else I read about, and when I click through on that, it only shows 2 options

* Upload (may use data plan)
There's no "Original size" and the entire "Videos" section is missing.I've made sure my wifi is set up and working, and my skydrive is all operational - when I "sake to skydrive" from the photo app, that uploads fullsize no problem.
I have got all my music, photos and apps sorted but how can I save my playlists, contacts, sms and notes? I am backed up to iCloud but if I sync my phone with iTunes will I lose all my data? I haven't dared click sync as I don't want to lose what I have on my phone.

Rooted, kitkat 4.4.4. I like to backup my entire nexus 5 to a large external sdcard using ES file explorer and stickmount pro. After an initial copy of all files it would be nice if I could copy "only changed or new files".
The 32gb sdcard is formatted fat32 and although I can copy files from the phone to it my backup failed when I tried to copy large files. I get an error message saying that there isn't enough space which is nonsense because the external sdcard is almost empty! Not sure why.
Can someone help? Getting error message saying "You cannot save your backup file to \network folder name . Please select a different folder with write permissions." I can write to the folder selected, but the software can't. It did on all my other versions of BB Desktop.Can only save to local C drive.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have been religiously doing auto-backup on to a remote hard drive. But now I cannot seem to access any of those files at all. It keeps saying I have no administrative permission to view the files. Even when copied to my desktop, I can't use them to restore.The issue that started this all is that I switched computers. And every time I sync, the desktop program wants to add or delete about 1200 past calendar items. I have been reticent to allow the sync to continue because I did not want to lose data, but today I said, "what the hell" and let it continue. It deleted everything from BOTH the handheld and computer prior to May, when I started using the new computer. So when I try to reinstall the older backup file to retrieve the lost data, now the program won't let me access the files I saved so religiously.

I had my laptop with me to transfer everything over and the guy working commented that I shouldn't use data encryption on the backup, so I said fine and he deactivated the option. I believe it was at this point that I was asked to enter the password, which I did. After a long time processing, there was an error message at the end. I wish I could remember what it said, but the guy said it should be fine. He wiped my phone I was returning, and then we set about to restore my new phone from the backup. Only problem is now iTunes doesn't recognize the password from my encrypted backup (this is the only one available). I don't know if something was corrupted during the attempt to deactivate encryption, or if this could be something else? I am positive I know the password—I entered it earlier in the process, and besides, it's the same as my passcode.
I was basically ushered out of the store because the guy said he didn't know what else to do. He just muttered some stuff about third party programs which Apple doesn't support which could retrieve data from a backup. I asked how those could possibly work on an encrypted backup and he didn't seem to have an answer.

Galaxy S6 Edge - get "unable to recognise your fingerprint" message - gives "Emergency Call" only option (why not "Backup Password" option) - trying to tap on Backup Password doesn't work on the "Power On" screen doesn't work and the "unable to recognise fingerprint" message pops up after about 5 seconds. I've tried tapping on the "Backup Password" option about every time - no luck. How can I access my device???
