HTC One M7 :: Why Photos And Videos Storage So High
Feb 17, 2014
I'm trying to free up some space. And under the storage setting it shows that I have over 13gb of photos and videos. So I went in the gallery and deleted all the videos and pictures. But it only went down to around 12 gb. Why? Are there other photos and videos somewhere else?
New Blackberry Bold 9790. Until yesterday I was able to take and save my videos and photos, but today i can't. Nor photos neither videos were saved after been taken. In the camera's option on the section "storage" the option "device" is unavailable.
So I know with 1020, if I simply share photos on to facebook, it will use the less quality 5MP photos, so I have to download the photos manually on my laptop via usb cord with the phone or from onedrive.. But would I have to download the videos from my phone or onedrive first before uploading on to facebook too, for the highest quality *with the smallest size possible? My videos are easily half a GB!
How can I change the name of the taken photos from camera, cuz every time I upload my photos to a cloud storage and empty my phone, the name of the photos retune automatically to DCS_0022. So when I upload the photos again to the cloud I have to rename them because there are other photos with the same name.
my nokia n8 is not showing any photos or videos when i go to my gallery. it just shows a back blank sceen. iv tried looking in my file manager but it wont show me them there either i recently had to delete lots of stuff from y phone memory so im wondering if i deleted some software or something?
My wife's Icon has a busted usb, will not charge or connect to my computer. It will charge wirelessly fine, but how can I get the high res photos off the phone now without usb?
When I try and take my photos off the 1020 with my PC it only shows one of each photo I took I think its the 34mp photos but not sure I thought it would have doubles of each photo a 5mp and a 34mp since I got it set to save both in the pro camera settings ...
Does it saves both to camera roll or does it save the 5mp somewhere else for sharing from the phone cause only one copy of each photo is on the phone camera roll ...
Tried HD Photo Viewer 8.0 app last night, allows you to view high-res versions of photos on phone. Found little if any difference. App details unclear, seem to suggest that you can do it on a Windows phone, and that you can't on a Nokia.
I read that if I remove my original pictures from my S6, all those pictures will be removed from my google photos as I am interacting with the cloud--instead of just my android phone. But I need to clear up some space on my 64gb phone.
I have noticed that, I cant preview any images or videos from file manager or any other storage. if I select the preview options like album, photos, MX player or movies it directly take me to the particular app & shows entire album pic n movies instead of particular Videos or images.
I faced same issue while select videos directly from whatsapp or any social network and I was Struggled to set DP in whatsapp, it directly take me to entire album photos instead of particular image.
And another issue is, if I click the new notifications from (Whatsapp, Line, FB etc) notification window, it take me down to the app start page instead of particular notification path/thread or to the particular chat.
How to get rid or fix this? (Android Build - 23.1.A.0.726 - D6502)
Did I miss the memo that says deleting lo-res photos will somehow not allow one to open the hi-res versions? I have the 1520 connected to my Windows 7 PC (via USB) and wanted to keep the hi-res versions only, so I deleted the lo-res ones. The hi-res files still appear as physical files in file explorer with multiple megabytes but no preview/ thumbnail (same as before). I can't transfer them to an empty folder on my Desktop or to Imgur, nothing happens, not even an explanation. I checked my recycle bin and the lo-res files are no where to be found.
Just encountered this issue3 days ago when I got notified that internal memory is about 75% full, so I did transfer those suggested files including images. After the transfer was finished, I noticed that images were not showing in album or photo gallery.I open the SD card files in my computer (PC companion) but the images are nowhere to be found. Its good that we have an amazing photo captured from our xperia, but the thing is, No matter how good the xperia camera is, if those photo would just be corrupted after transfer, then, no sense at all.
I have a Samsung Galaxy s5, and today I decided to clean some of my files from the "My Files" application. Usually when I clean out the files, everything will be all fine and dandy, but recently (which means, 30 minutes ago), I tapped the "Device Storage." and I did something, and It processed and everything seemed to be fine, because usually when I clean something out , for instance"videos", "Audio." or "Documents.", my photos and such are still there. But when I came back from a quick errand, I went into gallery to see that ALL my photo albums were completely gone. they had vanished, and to where I have no clue. I do not have an sd card, but I do have micro SD Sim installed into my galaxy s5, and I know for a fact that everything in your phone is there for eternity whether or not you deleted it, so right now how to gain back ALL of my five albums filled with photos. I had some beautiful photos that I would hate to lose.
Is there an easy way to do this?Sailing is what I used to get the data on the phone, but the data appears to me in the phones RAM not on the microSD.Or is there a way to check to see where music and photo is stored?
I'm very new to an Iphone, even though I've had this phone for over two years. I'm not sure how to actually do anything on it besides text/call/internet/photos+videos. My storage is full (I have over 2000) pictures and I'm needing to transfer them pictures to my computer. I can't use Icloud due to having to much and I'm not paying the extra. So, when I plug my phone into my computer it isn't even recognizing it on ITunes. I'm not sure if that's what I'm even supposed to transfer them to.
Now that Google Photos is offering free unlimited storage, I'd like to switch from OneDrive to Photos, but I can't find Photos anywhere on my phone. I could have sworn - in fact I KNOW - I used to have it. I checked Titanium Backup and disabled apps and cannot find this app on my phone anywhere. Searching for it on the Play store yields NO results.
I have a problem with my boss' Lumia 1520. Would love to import photos to 1520 and since every photos are categorized in folders, I just copied all the folders to Pictures folder in SD Card.
What happens next is that these photos don't show up in Photos App. I checked the Storage Sense, it said that there is no photos (0KB), and the size of all the folders I have copied before are shown in Other Storage (~4GBs)
What I have tried:
- Format the SD Card using Storage Sense, then put the SD Card inside the phone and connect it to PC, then moved the photos to the phone using USB Connection. Failed. - Put the SD Card into my Transcend Card Reader, move the photos into the SD Card then put it again into the phone. Failed. - Renaming the folders in Files App in Lumia, then check the Photos App whether it has shown up in the album section. Failed. - Renaming the folders in Windows 7, then check the Photos App whether it has shown up in the album section. Failed. - Fully format the SD Card using Windows 7, and move the photos to the SD Card and put it again into the phone. In progress: formatting the SD Card.
If i purchase more iCloud storage, will it allow me to take more photos to keep in my photo library? Or does iCloud storage just count towards photostream?
Redownloaded desktop manager today. Wasn't working. Download complete - no roxio on my computer software - should it show up separately? Will sync. Tells me no photos to download. Mass storage mode is on.
For about a week now I've had an alert pop up on my phone stating that my "Storage Space Is Running Out". Today is the first chance I've been able to connect my phone to the PC. I'm trying to export my photos from the phone to my PC so I can clear some of the memory ... how I go about this?
The second issue is that with my phone plan, I have a 1GB data limit a month and I have a widget on the home screen telling me how much I've used etc. The other day I got a "Data Usage" alert on my phone, which I have set to 1GB and to warn me when I'm near my limit (I've set to alert me when I have 100MG remaining).
I don't want to turn mobile data off. I have my phone automatically connect to wifi when at home.
I accidentally deleted a photo gallery on my sister's LG 4. I tried all the recovery programs available online. Most programs do not recognize the LG 4 for some reason I read but don't remember. I am also not techy enough to root the phone. It blows my mind that this smartphone doesn't have a recycle bin or a go-back feature where you can recover deleted items.
Since the Belle update, whenever I take a picture I am able to view it in the phone, but when I connect to a PC to transfer the picture in Mass Storage, the pictures are not there. I've looked in both the Mass Memory and Phone Memory folders. I've checked to see if the photo has a saved file name which it does. It finds them in Ovi Suite but I much prefer to use Mass Storage, it's so much easier and quicker to use.
I have a Blackberry Storm 3590 which no longer shows anything on the display;it is black.I desperately need to retrieve my photos from it.I believe they are located on the "internal" storage partition, as they are not located on the Sandisk media card that is installed. When I attempt to view / retrieve the photos from this phone via the Blackberry Desktop Software (ver. 6.0.0.40) I get the following message:"You need to turn on mass storage mode from the connected Blackberry device to use this feature. This may require you to reconnect your device."I have fully charged the battery & removed / installed the battery numerous times, but have had no luck.I was able to see the pictures the first couple of times I connected the phone to my laptop.
