Why is it every time I turn on/off the location from my widget, the location menu always comes up? This never happened before the upgrade as I was always able to just click on or off and nothing else would happen.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have the current version Facebook app on my iPhone 4 and after updating the iOS to version 5.1 I can no longer upload pics to Facebook. I've read that this is usually caused by Facebook location services being turned off. After checking the Settings > Location Services menu I noticed Facebook isn't even on the list. I've tried deleting the Facebook app and reloading it from the app store and I also rebooted my iPhone but Facebook still isn't in the Location Services menu?

The Notification menu which comes down from the top keeps coming down all the time. When I am texting, viewing pictures, browsing my phonebook etc., and it stops me from using the phone how I want to use the phone. no matter where i touch on the screen it pops up. I have done the following with no avail:
I have upgraded the firmware. (this problem happened before and still continues after upgrade)I have turned the phone on and off countless times.I have locked the phone and unlocked it numerous times hoping it will go away...it doesn't. The phone has not been dropped or damaged in anyway - it is only 2 months old.
I have an 8520 and in the settings there is a location option which will not change when i click on it. Under this there is a location data which does give me the option to enable or disable This should be used to send the location of the phone

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am not sure,but I think that before rooting and unrooting my Samsung Galaxy S5 Duos and installing a new firmware,with the power saving mode turned on,I could check for a weather information update without turning the location service manually on.
I suppose that the weather information service turned on the location service only for checking for weather information update automatically and then turned it off automatically again. And when I have pressed the weather update refresh button, it updated the weather information very fast. I would also like to add that the weather information,has been updating with no difference if the phone has been connected to a wi-fi network or 3G.
Is there a way I can get back that way of updating the weather information? That was only with the power saving mode turned on!
Is there any way to turn this feature off?? This is getting very frustring to have it vibrate and it's not even discreet (it sounds like a loud buzzing noise on the other end). The person on the other line keeps asking what's that buzzing sound?This ISN'T a feature, in fact it's annoying to people I talk to on the phone and frustrating that I have to tell the other person everytime it's the phone vibrating. It does not make any difference in my life if it vibrates when I press the home, menu, return or search buttons.

I've spent just over a week looking for an answer, searching Google and forums.The screen is very dull on the main menu, to the extent that to see any data on it you need to be in a very dark room. The screen saver however is just as bright as it has always been, brighter in fact.
I've turned the screen brightness up to full but this made no difference. It is almost as if the back light has been turned off.Does anyone know how to turn the back light on or even any resolution of this so I can use the phone during the day.
I am trying to turn on the mass storage mode. I have found the information how to do this but when I go into Options from any icon the relevant list does not come up. When you highlight an icon, click on the Blackberry key and then on options it comes up with 'Home Screen Preferences' at the top of the page, not the menu I was expecting.

View 4 Replies View RelatedBold 9700 - OS6 build 557 - EDGE network - BIS i am able to browse, but my twitter, facebook and other applications refuse to connect. Twitter constantly gives me either of these 2 error message " Twitter services are unavailable" or "Location connection time out after ~ 120000". Facebook says " not able to reach facebook servers at this time ". My emails, gtalk & yahoo work just right. Browsing is slow, but it works. i've been facing this problem for over 4 weeks, spoke with BB support team, ISP and even RIM Canada. Have done everything possible:
- Downgraded from OS6 to OS5 after wiping device via BBSAK
- deleted Twitter app and re-installed
- deleted service books
- chose connection only as 2G
- deleted IPP entry
- updated APN entry
- checked firewall
- replaced SIM card
- wiped off my entry from ISP servers and refreshed profile
- deactivated & activated BIS services
Now this issue is specifically where i work, so my guess is its the problem with the ISP tower. At home, i get these errors as well, but i get connected about 60% of the time. While travelling inter-city two weeks back, in middle of this problem, i got 100% connectivity with no drop outs and no such error messages. My ISP - Vodafone says they've done everything and nothing else is left to be done, they're poitning fingers at my device now. My device worked fine since suddenly this problem started.

why my wallpaper reverts to the default HTC wallpaper every time I turn off my phone (Desire)? I have set up scenes on my phone and have a live wallpaper set into these, yet every time I turn off my phone it loses the live wallpaper and I have to select my scene again. As far as I can tell it does not change any of the other elements of the scene, just the wallpaper, although I have never really checked as I just re-select my chosen scene each time.
