Ever since the update to 4.3, my HTC One's GPS keeps turning itself off. Everytime I use an app that requires it, I have to go to settings and turn it back on. I am not running any battery saver or power saver did that would turn it off.
View 2 RepliesI got my Nexus 5 on the 2nd of this month. I'm on Android 4.4.4. Just today, I was out and about and I realized that, although I was going into settings and turning Wi-Fi off, it just kept turning it right back on! (I had been using the Wi-Fi at the mall, then later I went to a friend's house and connected to my friend's Wi-Fi, which did not work.) So, I turned on my data, only for it to turn off after I guess about 30 seconds. I turned it back on, went on WhatsApp, in the middle of replying to a text from my friend it goes off yet again! What the... So, I went into settings and turned data on, and Wi-Fi off. As I watched, the Wi-Fi switched itself back on, and, predictably, even though there were no wireless networks to connect to, my data turned off as well.
This is really inconvenient. What could be causing the problem? I don't think I've downloaded any apps recently, but they do sometimes update. It was working fine on Thursday, but I've had my data off since then. I also booted into Safe Mode, and the problem doesn't seem to persist.
I had a contract with Vodafone over 2 years ago and decided on the BlackBerry Storm 9500 handset . After 6 Months of receiving the phone it developed a fault, i have returned it for repairs on a number of occasions and the reoccurring problem has never been solved & fixed . After eighteen months the phone will still not turn on and when it does work it turns off within one hour of it working, i have been to the Vodafone shop in Torquay South Devon and they supplied me with a new battery to try but it still switches itself off . I ave talked to Vodafone and i was told a fault has been found on this particular model of handset. After 24 months of having this contract phone i have now upgraded to a BlackBerry Torch . I would like to return the 9500 handset to get a free full repair or a replacement as i now need to use both phones. This phone has also had problems with freezing and locking up

"Plane mode" is unfortunately not an option as it doesn't allow listening to the radio... (whereas it allows you to connect yourself to a Wi-fi network or to receive GPS signals, for instance) Would be great if there was a widget "Enable/Disable GSM networks" or something like that, as there is for other functions... but I couldn't find such a thing.
i bought my xperia x10 some 2 month ago but now it is not even turning on.. Have got it checked and they told me that the main board has got a problem,, Now my problem is that i cannot use this mobile and would like to know where can i buy at least the X10 mainboard, if possible.

given it full charge no change cannot access any function.
removed battery and sin, no joy.
left sim out, no joy.
went to vodafone shop, they said i had to install software from nokia, did that, no joy.
can only stop it from switching on and off by removing battery, can't turn it off with on/off button.
dug out old 6230i and put sim in that, left n95 8gb switched off and on charge for a week got a couple off buttons to beep when 1st switched on, looks like date and time need resetting.
Can't think of anything else, have all my numbers for mates, football and work, diary dates and info and loads of pictures and video clips can't afford to loose any really.
vodafone said that they could send it off to repair shop but i would loose everything and i would have to pay for the privilege.
my phone cannot show up anything after i tried to insert the memory card which says is not formatted!now my phone is not working,it shows nokia when i turn on then goes blank and off!

I therefore thought it may require a new battery so brought a new battery - was fine for 5 hrs and then started doing it again!
it is quite old now and am due an upgrade at the end of August which is so annoying. Vodafone won't let me upgrade early either. If no-one knows am going into a vodafone store on Saturday to see of they can test it!
I have brought a cheap emergency mobile however I miss my blackberry!!
So like a month ago my phone crashed ( i dont know why) then when i tried restarting it didnt. however if i put it in charging then after 3-4 hours it started up.After this i avoided restarting because this lead me to wait 4-5 hours and sometimes even 6 hours. Yesterday it crashed and i pluged it in charging it didnt turn on the entire night ( i was playing cod and so was awake the whole night ) even PC companion and Update service didnt help.

We restored the phone and it lasted for about a week before it started happening again. My concern is that even if i send my phone in to have it replaced that it will just happen again with my next phone. I got this iPhone 3G In April 2009, and just today, it stopped working or doing ANYTHING. It's not turning on, it's not saying no battery, and it's not showing any sign of life. Last time it worked was this morning to stop the alarm, but that's it. I noticed it wasn't working about two hours later.

I don't know what trigger this. my iphone4 is previously on iOS 5.0.1 and it keeps turning off itself.but when i plug it to the power, the phone turns on, BUT when i pull the plug off it turns itselff off.it's like the phone has no power left.yesterday i connect my "dead" iphone4 to itunes and enter the recovery mode and restore it to the newest firmware (5.1.1) but still the same problem happened.

I went into the nearest apple store too me ( which is an hour away) after booking a genius appointment, I got given a replacement iphone 4S. BUT the phone they gave me has even more faults than my other one, it turns off 3 or 4 times a day and wont come back on for some time! Why is this happening?

My iphone keeps turning off when i'm using it but there is always lots of battier power left. it does it when i use the camea and some of the other apps like zombie land and wieght watchers. some times it will not turn back on for a few mins. it really silly is there anything i can do to fix this as i don't have the money to get a new one.
