i have problem recently with my legend that when you try to drag down the notification bar, it doesnt slipped down and some times, the screen is not responding even when I try to ulock the phone.
View 1 RepliesMy problem is with Wifi connection to my Siemens Router. The phone detects my network and shows three bar signal strength. I then select the network, type in the password, select connect.....and nothing. It shows the network as remembered, but everytime I try to connect nothing happens and the Wifi 'tick box' always shows disconnected.It did connect to a BTopen Network. Which leads me to believe it is my router. The wireless is obviously on and working if the phone detects it. So, as a newbie to wireless, I assume all you need to connect the phone is the SSID name, and the WPA key (which, I believe is the password).
View 2 Replies View RelatedUpgraded to 2.2 using my home wifi. All seemed Ok and the phone rebooted.
I get as far as the opening screen showing the time and date but none of the four buttons along the bottom of the screen do anything. The only button working is the on/off button.
Tried a factory reset using the volume down and power button. Phone rebooted but I am still stuck with buttons that don't respond and I cannot do anything.
I try tapping the screen to make it go away, which usually works, but sometimes it doesn't work, and it stays like this.

View 3 Replies View RelatedUsed to plug in my phone to the computer to charge but now it no longer charges via the computer.USB notification doesn't appear.Computer doesn't recognise that a device is attached either.I have checked the leads and have tried alternative computers.Still no change.If I use the lead attached to the plug in charger then it charges fine without problem.But as of now I can't use PC charging (which seems to increase battery life between charges) nor can I transfer anything to/from my PC.

Just noticed that my N8 doesn't have a SW update notification, though it's turned on? My friend's C7 has this and just received a Maps Suite notification, whilst I had to go check if it's available, and it's there.

The download successful but my notification bar shows that it is still downloading. I just cant remove that thing from my notification. I tried evrything restarted device several times & reseted the phone settings to default, still it is there. I am so much irritated.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've set my gmail account as the default mail-account on my x10 mini pro, but the phone doesn't seem to reteive the mails automatically. I thought that when I set the sync-schedule to once an hour, then the phone would check my gmailaccount for new mails and notify me. I've tested this and the only time I get a notification is when I manually tell the phones mail-client to sync. Am I just a stupid user that donät know how to work the phone, or do I have to set up a sync-schedule for gmail?

Everytime inbox needs to refreshed inorder to see new mails. Same with Gmail app installed on phone.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI am guessing that this is properly a WP8 question, but having the Icon, and being new to WP8 (and therefore not knowing if all of these settings are by phone model or across the platform) I figured I'd start by posting it here. My question is, when I add my yahoo mail account through the basic email setup on the phone, will I receive notifications when mail arrives? I know that I could just send myself mail and see, but there are two reasons why this isn't a perfect way to get an answer. First, I am having issues getting other email pushed, and therefore don't always get notifications from the other accounts. Second, there is no push option for yahoo, but you can select it to check the server every so often- with 15 minutes being the shortest.
I don't want there to be an audible notification. My yahoo mail is more of a junk account than anything. There is no option under settings for it to turn notifications on or off, so I am wondering (and hoping) if it simply doesn't have an audible notification?

By the way, where should notification light be appear on phone? (center button?) When there is message or missed call, I cannot see any light come up on any part of phone.
i really love new 4.0 update.. It's clen. But there is a problem ..Does anyone know how to put the led notification in work when we receive a message ? I think that's something important because we have allways to unlock the phone to see if we get something.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm new to this forum and therefore I don't know if I posted this right but I have a problem,verytime I reboot my phone the notification flash blinks and it doesn't seem to want to go off.I tried everything: disabling the flash all together,disable in some applications, every possible solution. But it keeps flashing although I have no messages.The only way to get it to go off is to receive a message, this is bugging me a bit.

Everytime I'm listening to music via stock 8.1 music app (so called Music or Xbox music, ver. 2.6.414.0) when I get a message or any sort of a notification, music stops and won't turn back until I manually open the app and press play. I had about 55% of battery and when I got off work it was dead. I then later charged my phone and noticed that when I get a notification on the lock screen it won't turn off right after the notification showed. when I turn on the phone to check the time on the lock screen it doesn't turn off. it would usually turn off seconds later. This has been draining my battery. if I have a full battery at night and disconnect it and throughout the night I get a text message the lock screen would turn on and never turn off,and then in the morning I'm left with a dead phone or a 3% left, or when I disconnect the phone it doesn't turn of neither. How do I set it back to how it was. I already factory reset?

I'm in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and although I have the phone set to automatically detect time based on location, the time is showing an hour behind.Even when I set the time manually, my google calendar integration is showing all appoints an hour behind.(Google calendar is set to Atlantic Time, and changing it to Eastern will simply mess with all of my appointments. )I've been looking into this, and know that I'm not the only one with the issue. When I check the Timezones settings, both Eastern and Atlantic are flagged as GMT-4, which is wrong.I made a post on the HTC forums regarding this, but am not getting a feeling that it's going to go anywhere.
Called Bell, they couldn't help me, but created a ticket to appease me. I'll call back tomorrow for an update.Anyone have any advice on how to fix it? I tried getting into the timezones.db, in the /etc folder, but not having much luck getting it open on my PC.
I have an unlocked Bell htc legend using with FIDO, and while wifi does work , no matter what i do to enable data connection for 3g or even enabling GPS no icon ever shows up. Ive done a factory reset twice. APN settings were the same i used on iphone. Just transferred the sim card. Took sim to another phone to make sure it wasnt the sim and 3g works.This appears to be the phone doing this but would like suggestions/insight.

If I have a text message conversation open and receive a new message from the same contact, the notification icon pops up, I'm properly notified, but then it won't clear without backing out of the conversation to the higher level text messaging section. I have had success a few times with tapping on the new message to clear the notification icon, but not all the time. This was not an issue I noticed with the previous version of Android.

I know you can use the USB cable but on my old nokia all you had to do is have a bluetooth connection from the phone to the computer in order sync up witht the outlook. I would think such an advanced phone as the HTC legend would have such a feature? Love the phone otherwise
