HTC Incredible S :: Ice Cream Sandwich Touch Sounds?
Aug 6, 2012
I have just updated my mobile 'incredible s' from gingerbread to ice cream sandwich. Now, it always vibrates and produce beep sounds whenever I touch the screen. how to disable it ?
So i got the update 5 days ago and ever since then my phone has been acting up. Everytime i open an app up and close it (or just hit the back button or home button) it brings up the HTC logo (which comes up when you restart or shut down the phone and turn it back up) and then says loading and then loads the screen and in my music playlist the cover album is the same for every song! wth. this has slowed down my phone also. New update to fix the kinks required! I've turned it off, reset it, left it shut off but no change. Just didn't try a factory reset so i'm not sure if i should do that but i know a friend who's having issues also so its the update not just my phone.

I am located in the UK and have a Samsung Galaxy S2. Purchased from Phones 4 U and is on the Orange Network but does not have any orange bloatware installed. The firmware is:
I was wondering who will supply my update? I cannot find anything that relates to my phone. There is an reference to Orange. Will it come via Orange and if so will it be filled with Orange bloatware? which I do not want or will it come via a different route such as Europe/Poland etc...
i know android are going to update all us s2 users with ICS round about march time so ive heard from a few sites so what i was wondering how will the update happen?
will i have to do a update from my laptop or will it be directly from the updates on my phone ?
after failing miserably with kies to try and get update for ICS (kept telling me there was update but taking hours and then timing out)I finally received the ota update (network vodafone spain) but because I was using packet data at the time I thought I would wait till I got home and use wifi,it give me the option of postponing for a hour. When I got home no update tried forcing the update on keypad and constantly checking for update. Nothing, no update available. all day now I have been trying but no joy.
Unable to web access a citrix server after updating to Ice Cream Sandwich. The chrome web browser locks up. What happened to firefox? It worked great on Firefox! I have a Lapdock and Motorola webdock station. I use citrix when I travel and at home.
A new version of Android, Android 4.0 "Ice cream sandwich " is due by the end of the year from Google.
amongst the features, Google have said that it will work on all android handsets, regardless of their age, and that the Ice cream sandwich version of android will intelegently adapt itself to suit the hardware its installed on. [URL]
will the xoom be recieving ice cream sandwich (android 4.0)?also can motorola or any other forum users / moderators say what will be implemented into the new operating system.so far all i know is that it will bring all android devices on to the same operating firmware, like Apples ios.
I know you guys are still evaluating the possibility of adding Ice Cream Sandwich support to your existing device portfolio, but I was wondering if there was any official update as to whether or not the Bell Motorola XT860 4G would be eligable for this update?
I understand it is still a little bit early to be asking this question, but nothing official has been mentioned regarding this device.
Since updating my Bionic with Ice Cream Sandwich I can no longer see embedded videos on any browser. This is not just a flash problem but html5 videos as well. These were playing great before the upgrade and they play great on the iphone and Ipad as well. I have to believe it is a setting somewhere.
Recently I've upgraded my SE Xperia mini pro to Android Icecream Sandwich 4.0.After upgrading I'm facing issue with Inbuilt Messaging application. It immediately clears all my messages, thereafter all messages appears back some time later .Even problem appearing in 3rd Party - PANSI Messaging application too.I've grouped my messages in folders other than to keep all in Inbox. This immediately removes all messages from folders and sits all in INBOX which is very time consuming for grouping again n again.
So yesterday I upgraded my SGS2 from Android 2.3 to the the Ice cream sandwich via kies. All went well except that now I can't see my contact pictures in third party applications. My contacts are all linked to Facebook so their pictures are all set to their Facebook profile pictures. Before the update, applications such as whatsapp and Handcent SMS automatically sync this information and the contact name and picture will be displayed. Now only the stock applications can display contact name and picture not any downloaded application.
Ok so I just got the incredible today. My first Droid phone. I m trying to record and send video via text message. Two things here. 1st the video at 30 secs long seems to be too big to send. I have tried recording it in both formats and at the lowest settings..Any thoughts on how to make it smaller? I was able to send video up to a minute long on my Blackberry so not sure what the problem here is.
I just got this phone yesterday (6/19) and there is one thing that I cannot figure out. When in sound setting there are check marks next to audible touch tones when using dial pad, audible selection when making screen selections, and screen lock sounds, but I don't get any sounds. Sounds work great for everything else. Volume is up.
I downloaded ringtones from crackberry a couple hours ago and now my ringers won't work and when I try to play ringtones in the media application it won't let me play them. I tried going through the profiles to make sure they weren't muted or off and nothing is working. I had the exact same problem less than 24 hours ago and the cell phone place just gave me a new phone because they couldn't figure it out either. If I could get some kind of direction as to what I need to do I would appreciate it greatly.
Does anyone know if the Ice cream sandwich roll out for the Ray is finished?
I have checked the list and all dates were for April 2012. My SI number does not appear on the list and PC companion says my Ray is up to date. I live in the UK.
I got my incredible yesterday, and spent the whole day checking out apps, importing my pics, vids, and contacts from my Dare, all that good stuff. Most of what I did was done on Wi-Fi, and it was good. Today, I wake up, and my Wi-Fi is not able to connect to anything. I changed nothing, but to be sure, I reconnected to my router. To be EXTRA sure, I'm writing this to you on a computer hooked up to this same router.
My 3G works fine. Any ideas? I tried a different router. Same problem. I get the "A network error has occurred. Retry, or cancel and return to the previous screen" message in the market, and a connection error message in any browser.
I'm seriously looking into jumping from the iPhone 3g to the Incredible. I've had my iPhone for almost 2 years and I love it. With the announcement of OS 4.0 I was a little disappointed with the lack of new features thats going to be included. Pretty much all the features are available now if you decided to jailbreak the iPhone. My ATT contract is up in a few months and i'm due for a new phone now but I'm going to wait and see what iPhone 4 has to offer before I finally make a decision. Just wondering if anyone jumped from an iPhone to the Incrediable and their thoughts on it.
