HTC Desire HD :: Removing Default Apps/ringtones?
Jan 26, 2011I hate things like facebook and twitter however my desire hd sim free came with several apps installed i.e default ones.I have downloaded god knows how many file managers that let you uninstall apps however not yet found one that will let you uninstall the default ones. My second problem is that i am trying to delete the ringtones on the internal memory and also add my own to the list as it appears that you can only assign individualy ring tones to contacts that are the default tones is this correct? I can locate the files however the phone will not let me delete them add to them or modify them what so ever. Managed to now add ringtones to the default set so i can now use my own for individual contacts, just not managed to delete the default ones. I have just found something even more annoying the phone wont let me use my own text message alert i have stored on my phone anyone found a ay round this rather than using one from the net that the phone will let you download?i have also tried doing it via plugging it into my pc however it wont let you view the system files even by changing option to view system files under windows it will only allow viewing of the sd card.

Dec 19, 2011I thought it would be a good idea to sync my music via the Blackberry desktop program. however since i have done this my torch does not like it when i want to make a playlist from the music on my media card. I want my device to unsync, which i have tried to do many times via the desktop program and even tried to select "forget this device"
I want my torch to forget my "home" music and not at all have the option to sync music via wifi or anything! I used to be able to easily make playlist from music on my SD media card but now it won't let me...

I am trying to listen to my huge iTunes library in alphabetical order by album. Every week I typically remove a section of albums from my phone (using iTunes) and load up the next batch. I never had any issue with doing this. I manage the music manually and it has always worked. Â
Last night I did the same thing and in the iTunes interface everything looked great, but it was odd because I didn't have a lot of room on the phone. When I looked at the music on my phone, it didn't remove most of the albums I told it to. So, for example, when I look at the music on my phone, "Florence and the Machine" is there and plays. However, it doesn't show up in iTunes when I plug my phone in. Â
Outside of deleting every single song on th ephone one at a time, I'm stuck. No settings have changed and everything worked perfectly until now. How do I get songs off my phone if they don't appear in the itunes interface anymore?!

May 13, 2010My 5800's music library is not working anymore and it cant play mp3 and other sound files but when I remove the memory card it can play the sounds also my picture editor is not working. In my memory card I found many folders namely _PAlbTN. is it a virus? Do I need to reformat my memory card? And what do I have to copy on my PC when I format it? Just the mp3 videos and pictures? Or do I have to copy also the folders like private, sys, etc?

Feb 22, 2011My problem is putting music on the phone. I have never been able to do that with an ipod without major drama, and i hoped this would be different, but i has so far been a failure. I popped a cd into my pc and loaded up media player, then plugged in my phone to my pc and basically my pc can't or won't allow my phone to sync. Dec 21, 2011My phone got updated to 2.3.5 and sense UI 3 yesterday and I face this problem where I'd be listening to music, playing games and hearing the phone ring when suddenly it would go dumb and I can't hear anything. This happens with no error message or notification. The phone think it's playing media and allows me to adjust the media volume but there's no sound (speaker or earphones). Nov 8, 2011The problem is that when I try and transfer music to my 32gb microSD card on my HTC Desire S, the music appears to delete itself. I connect it, drag and drop in the normal way and it copies normally. I then disconnect the phone and when I try to play the music it isnt on the menu on my phone. I reconnect the phone and the music is not there when I browse to my computer. Have tried 2 separate memory cards, and in 2 different HTC phones and still get the same problem.

Jul 14, 2010i just downloaded OVI maps and kinda went download happy and downloaded more maps than Ineed.I tried to delete one map, but the OVI Suite only allows me to "delete ALL".When I tried that option, OVI freezes on the preparing screen and then OVI Suite doesn't work anymore.After uninstalling, cclean up, re-booting, and re-installing, OVI Suite works.Is there an easy way to just delete one country's map? Am I able to do it directly from the memory card?
