Dec 9, 2013I forgot my lock pattern, and even though I've tried the wrong pattern about 80 times by now, the "forgot pattern" button won't show up.I know my gmail address and password, so that's not a problem, I just have no way to enter it.When I've tried to lock my phone with a password using the android device manager I got a message saying that a lock request has been sent, but right after that it says "We could not lock your device. Please try again."I've also tried turning it off and on again, hoping that it'd be unlocked after I've entered my pin, but it's still locked.While I know that I might end up having to reset it.

Nov 4, 2015I have problem with waking the phone with power/lock button. Every few hours (for my usage once a day) the phone doesn't wake after locking. I have to press and hold power/lock button for a few seconds to manualy restart it. I know that N5 has notorious problems with power/lock button but as far as I know its problem with phone not going to sleep. I don't have problem with that.
I noticed this after an update to M. I am on XtraSmooth 29.10 build with RacerKernel 28.10. DT2W dissabled. Also i have the usual problem of turning screen on after calls. For me the phone sometimes doesn't turn on until the other person ends the call. Do I need to replace the power/lock button?

Nov 17, 2015I reflashed all the factory images to my Nexus 6P (except userdata), and then restored a TWRP backup of the data partition. This worked, my phone boots up and obviously has my installed apps, etc. But... on the Nexus 6P when you restart the phone you have to enter your lock pattern or PIN. My phone was previously configured with a pattern. It seems the TWRP data backup didn't backup the lock pattern, because it doesn't recognize my pattern.
My fingerprint is recognized, but on the Nexus 6P you still have to enter the lock pattern or PIN when you first reboot. So, I have no way to get into the phone. I tried setting a new lock screen password with Android Device Manager, but it doesn't work. I still get the screen asking for the lock pattern. Is there any way I can get into my phone without blowing away all the data?

Yesterday my phone dialed two people on my recent call log, app tile locations were moved or deleted off my homepage and a random letter email to a random letter email address was sent. Additionally two random downloads titled Servicelogin.html and releases.cfm were downloaded. The strangest thing is that I have a passcode lock on my phone so an accidental **** dial seems unlikely. Jul 16, 2014I uninstalled my Swype keyboard and was in the process of reinstalling a new one when my phone screen shut off. Now, on the lock screen, no keyboard pops up when I try to enter my password, only the Google Voice red button, which doesn't actually record anything. It just stays statically in red 'waiting for results.' When I press the keyboard image next to the password input box, the 'Choose Input Method' option shows up, with no options to select from. I've tried clearing the cache as well, to no avail.
How can I get past this seemingly minor problem which has completely locked me out of my phone?

Dec 14, 2015well after few days reading different sites , youtube videos on how unlock the device lockscreen, I tried downloading adb tool , and droid explorer and even sdk tools.My main trouble is that half of my screen wont work and i cant get access to my mobile to unlock it.I tried to get in to recovery mode to wipe out the cache so i could get via usb my folder with my family pictures and so on , but after selecting recovery mode it says no commands available..
So this option is not working, is it cuz my usb don't have the settings to get into the folders or what. The phone is not rooted , i never enable anything so i guess that debugging i did read some post wont work with that adb commands from cmd..
