Google Nexus 5 :: Double Text Messages Receiving
Feb 19, 2014I switched my default text app to Handcent and I also use hide it pro.
Now whenever I get a text message on hide it pro I receive it twice.
How can I stop this from occurring?

Google Nexus 6 :: Not Receiving Some Group Messages / MMS
May 25, 2015I've had the nexus 6 for a little while but just started noticing that while in a group conversation I only receive messages from one person and absolutely nothing from the other. Mostly everyone that I know has an iPhone. I had one as well but I made sure I turned off imessage before I switched to the Nexus.

Oct 18, 2015I started having this issue two days ago. I only receive text messages when I answer an incoming call. I answer, and then all the texts since the previous call arrive with their vibrate notifications.
I am using Textra on stock unrooted 6.0 with the bootloader unlocked.
Google Nexus 5 :: Why Don't Have Incoming Text Messages After Low Storage
Aug 9, 2015So for weeks I've been dealing with a low storage space issue on my N5. I've been hovering at about 500MB of free space. I delete some photos, some cached data, etc., and get some more breathing room for awhile. (An aside: there's a specific app that is using way too much data storage and the amount keeps going up and up; I'm trying to resolve that issue without deleting the app.)
Occasionally I've received the system alerts about no new voicemail downloads, possibly no new message downloads, etc. I'll clear some space and those alerts go away and everything continues to seem to work fine.
This morning I got the low storage space alert(s), deleted some stuff, eventually got a handful of new email notifications, but for the past 6+ hours I've received no new txt messages (I use Messenger app for sms). I currently have 553MB of free space, I'm getting email notifications, and txt messages I send out are successfully received.
How do I resolve this? My N5 is unrooted. I've tried leaving it off for awhile, and have obviously rebooted it. Could this just be some network issue? (I'm on tmobile.)
(btw, I somewhat recently backed up and deleted a bunch of sms/mms messages, so there's only about 8000 currently on my phone, taking up about 165MB of space.)

Feb 18, 2015I'm new to smart phones, My Nexus 5 is my first one, and I just tried to send my first text message, ever. Fail.
I get an error saying I need a valid 10 digit mobile number. Looking at the failed text, I see it has a +1 in front of the number. I'm guessing that is the problem, but I haven't been able to find anything on how to correct it.

Dec 16, 2015My Nexus 5 phone is running Android 6.0.1, but shortly before that, I switched from a T-Mobile Prepaid plan to a postpaid plan and then, immediately back to a prepaid plan again. The thing is that I had a $30/month prepaid plan which is not available as a postpaid plan. But no one told me. They just said that I was eligible for a postpaid plan after 18 months. Of course, I jumped right back when they wanted to charge me $50/month. So that is what caused the texting trouble.

I used several apps to make sure it's not application based issue, the same occurs.

Aug 8, 2011Am I the only Droid 2 who is sending double txt messages? And I think it know why its been doing it on the two phones I've used. If you start a message with the touch screen, you get lazy and open the keyboard and finish the message. Close the screen after you click send. 75% of the time you will send a double text message.

Dec 4, 2015 I was on straight talk (at&t) and I stopped receiving MMS messages. I tried every APN configuration I could find and none worked. I installed a different rom and they worked for a while and stopped. I decided to try out project fi so I didn't try a new sim. I also restored to stock for a fresh start. My Fi service started today and I'm still not able to receive MMS messages. Sending them works fine as far as I can tell.
I called Google and none of their solutions worked and they told me the port can take time to fully go through. While I was waiting for the port to complete I used my straight talk sim on my one plus 2 and did receive a picture during that time. Is it possible that the problem is with the phone itself? Dialing some set of symbols and numbers to get into additional phone settings or anything like that?

If people have texted/sms'd me on that number during the week I had no phone, will I receive the texts messages? I imagine not since it will be a different Sim Card.
