My Nexus 5, can't find my SIM card, or others SIM card.
He says 'No SIM card, no service'. Also i can't change from 2G or 3G it's unpossible.
What can I do? I flashed the Xtraslim rom. Also flashed the RADIO and Bootloader, all with TWRP 2.8.0.1.
When I connect the phone to the compute w/ a USB cable (yes, the one that came with it), the computer does not recognize it as a device. I've checked and the phone's settings as "Connect as:
Media Device (MTP)" checked.
When I connect it, it shows in the Device Manager as "Android Device -> Google Nexus ADB Interface"; but the computer can't access it via MTP, and ADB lists no devices.
I'm trying to transfer some photos from my Nexus 5 to my PC. I've attached the Nexus 5 via USB. The Nexus 5 charges. The PC does not recognize the Nexus 5. Prior to the latest Android update I was able to successfully transfer music to and from the Nexus 5 using the USB connection. I made sure Media device (MTP) was selected under USB connection.

View 10 Replies View RelatedSo, a month or so ago I updated my phone to L without a hitch. This morning, I tried to begin moving to M, but I can't get my computer to recognize that the phone is connected to a USB port.
I'm running the latest Win 7 Pro build (current patches), I've tried using every USB port on the box, and I've tried four different cables. The Nexus will charge off the USB, but the PC will not connect to it, so I can't perform any of the flashing commands. Dev options are set on the phone, ofc.
I should note that I can't get the Device Manager to see anything connected, either, so it's not trying to update drivers or anything. Besides, I believe those are current, since everything worked a month ago.
I have run out of space on my phone. (Again. Why can't I add an sdcard to this nexus thing dammit?) I'm going through the Storage sections under Settings, picking and choosing what I want to keep and discard. There's a number of items appearing in Downloads that I want to move to my PC, but I can't find the files and the only commands available are Open, Delete and Share.How do I locate the items so can copy them?My phone is not rooted and is running Lollipop 5.1.1.

View 3 Replies View RelatedMY Nexus 5 suffered a battery failure recently. I have managed to replace that and all good with respect to that. However, since then I am unable to get my phone to recognise the SIM. The SIM was working fine but now I can't connect to my network (Tesco), It seems to recognise the SIM as it states - "No Service - Tesco" in the status panel at the top of the screen. The phone is well out of warranty and was bought directly from CarphoneWarehouse.
I've tried my wife's micro SIM in the Nexus and no luck there either. Further, I've tried my SIM in another old phone and it works fine. Finally, I've resorted to having a new SIM sent out by Tesco and tried that .... and still no luck.
I've tried a factory reset a few times and inserted the SIM with the phone switched off ....
Is there a way to send a contact, VCF card, through Hangouts? I have not discovered the way.
View 14 Replies View RelatedI loaded 5.1 from the images on googles site. All works great except when I boot the phone and am in airplane mode, I get a no Sim card error. As soon as I turn off airplane mode, it goes away. How to clear this? Note I did not factory reset when I loaded. I did not want to loose all of my data.

So i want to know is there any way to test if my nexus 5 hardware is failing or is there any other bug/fix what can i do to get this work. I have the HTC one m8 with T-Mobile, have had it for about six months now. Pretty eh phone over all, crappy camera, crappy battery, nothing particularly awful, just irritating. and its never recognized my sd card. But It wasn't ever a problem, I still could save things and download stuff, whatever. But now I can't access any of my saved things like game progress. Some games I can, others only work when I'm not at home, like at school.
I don't do anything weird with my phone, or try to upgrade it myself. I take it out of the box and go.
I've tried everything that doesn't involve erasing all of my crap. I've removed it, restarted, the tape thing, I tried al. These things at school too and nothing.
It worked fine less then a week ago, I updated it, and now Its basically useless for anything besides phone calls and the internet.
I just bought a new 130GB class 10 PNY SD card for my T Mobile G4 and at first it was working fine. Then which I was transferring music files to the SD card it had a random error, and now the G4 won't recognize it. If I put in a different SD card it works, and my PC sees the PNY card. I've tried reformatting it to NTSC and Fat32 with no luck. The PNY card isn't corrupted according to my PC.

I received an iphone 4 as a gift from somebody who bought in USA from AT&T. Today I tried to update my software to iOS 5.1 using a macbook pro and itunes. It worked untill the point when itunes restarted my iphone and then it gave me a message about not recognizing my sim card.
I am currently living in Romania and I am using a prepay Vodafone Sim.
I contacted the apple authorised service in Bucharest and they told me that there is nothing they can do, that the problem is not sovable and I can use my iphone only in USA. They told me it was coded in AT&T network and it can't be unblocked or something like that...
Now I find it hard to believe that a company such as apple can't solve this problem... after all it's not my fault that I am not an iphone expert and didn't know better than to update my iOS.

I've been an owner of a HTC tattoo for a couple of months now and suddenly it doesn't want to register the SIM card, it just says "no SIM card in phone"
Is this something relatively common or is it likely to be a technical issue?

and i have tried with the old design of same provider, ( my fathers sim card) and that worked fine in my n900.i called my provider and they can only provide the new designed chip.

I'm the lucky man who found a lost iphone. I managed to recharge the battery with my ipod wire, and now I'm trying to use it. The phone is, right now, like an ipod but it seems to don't recognize my sim card. I checked the firmware version, is 3.1.3 (7E18).The operator is "Orange switzerland 5.2" First of all, is any sim card good for an iphone? View 2 Replies View RelatedAbout two months ago I bought the Blackberry Curve 3G from Amazon. I bought it unlocked so that when I go back home (I'm from Holland and I'm currently in the US for a year) I can take it with me and use my old sim card. The phone worked fine up until last week; the battery died and when I turned it on as it was charging, I got a message saying the sim card was not available. I turned the phone off again, unplugged it and opened it to see if the sim card was properly inserted. It looked fine so I turned the phone back on: same thing. I've been very careful with my phone, never dropped it, never got wet etc so that can't be it.
It's not the sim card because I tried to put in a different card and that didn't work either. When I tried those two cards in a different phone, they did work.
I contacted Amazon and the company that I bought it from; they told me to contact Blackberry. What can I do??
Only device memory and built-in-media storage are detected. I do not know why it doesn't read my media card even though it is inserted properly. I tried my media card in my pc and it works perfectly fine. I already did the security wipe method, reboot method, upgraded my OS(OS Level Method), cleaning the media card,formatting my media card and almost everything I read, I've done it but still it won't be read. I already go asked someone what could be the problem and he said my media card(where you put it) seems to be okay... He too can't identify what is wrong with it. I tried sandisk media card once but still same result assuming that BB is too picky with media card but still it cannot be read/recognized...I am too sad because i cannot enjoy my torch because i don't want to use my built-in memory storage for my entertainment....

I'm having trouble getting my Z6c to recognize music on my SD card. I synced from Windows Media Player to the card, but when I put the card in the phone, it can't find the songs. I had this same problem on another Moto phone. (I know the card is properly formatted, because it recognizes the photos I put in the My_Pix folder.)
I notice when I sync to the SD card, a Music folder appears. I move the album to the My_Music folder before putting the card in the phone, but no success. This is my own music I've ripped from CD.
Do I need to do this via a USB cable instead? I tried getting help from Verizon, but the CSR just kept telling me to use VCast. I don't see why this wouldn't work with Windows Media. Things were so much easier on my BlackBerry, but I really want to like this phone.
