I had to reset my phone. I then reloaded the camera photos I had taken before into dcim/camera. When I look in the gallery there are no thumbnails of these photos.How can I get the phone to recreate the thumbnails?

Am looking for any insight on how to clear thumbnails of pictures/videos from my gallery that have already been deleted off my phone. I have already tried powering off/on my phone, removing/replacing my battery and unmounting/remounting SD card. Have also tried going to Settings> Applications> Gallery and then clearing the data to see if it would reset the gallery but the thumbnails remain. Also went to the Gallery> All photos (and All videos)> Menu> Select Items and checked the photos and videos I wanted removed and then tried to delete them again but still the thumbnails remain.
View 5 Replies View RelatedWhenever I use the facebook on the Communities app on my 5800 xpress, it saves all the thumbnails that appear on each page into my gallery.which as you can imagine with hundreds of unwanted tiny pics and no mark multiple function is a pain to say the least!I've tried looking for a setting to turn it off but no luck.anyone got any ideas?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI opened my gallery a few days ago to find that it was cluttered up with a lot of advertisements in the form of videos and pictures. There where about 10 - 20 of these and how they got there.
I don't download many apps at all, when I do I try be very careful to make sure they aren't harmful for my phone.
Before these ads had appeared though, I had installed two games. Knowing about how some apps will abuse permissions to do unwanted things and I assumed the culprit to be the most recent game I had downloaded, because I thought that I saw one of the same ads saved that had popped up in the game and the timing of this happening after a new app installed indicated it was this game.
I was annoyed that my phone had been exploited and deleted these pictures/videos, uninstalled the app and left a bad review explaining it saves ads on your phone.
Well I thought that was the end of it. Today I open my gallery and what do I see? Yep. More damn ads saved! Not so many this time though, there's about 4. So I realized that it wasn't the game at all, it is uninstalled and gone but the ads are still being saved. You could say I promptly made some "minor adjustments" to my review. :P
I decided to do a scan with AVG thinking that will find whats doing this but it didn't find any threats. So now I am seriously wondering how these ads are being downloaded onto my phone without my consent, using my data, storage space and cluttering my gallery up.

When I go to gallery on a video and click the editor, i get an error "gallery has stopped working"When I go to settings>fingerprints, I get the following error "attention an error has occurred with the fingerprint sensor, if this message persists repeatedly, restart your device"...

View 13 Replies View RelatedI am new to android. Im an orderly person so I like to close everything I dont use. (I dont like that the back button doesnt close apps so I always use the menu button when I finish using something. However there are some apps that have a dedicated exit button. What bugs me is that even though I use the exit button, the thumbnails are still present in the menu. Did I change something, because I think the exit used to work properly in UC browser before? I mean if my memory serves me right the exit button seemed to bypass this problem before, so I didnt have to close the tabs in the menu. But now im just left confused.
Even if I end all active applications in the task manager, the thumbnail tabs remain in the menu. soo...is this normal?
My wife recently noticed that several recent photos on her phone were missing. Over the course of several days more photos either disappeared or were corrupted.
I'm not sure if it's related but recently here phone screen starts to dim and flicker if charging or left alone for a little while.
Is there anything I can do to stop this apparent spread of corrupted data? I ran virus scanners and she is using only the internal memory, no extra SD card,
My phone seems to have run out of memory - it is filled with movies and photos. Those photos have safely synced to my google online account picasa or photos. google .com. How do I remove them from my phone but keep them in Pcasa or google photo?

All I did was hold down the 'r' key, and let go once a 4 showed up. I sent the message, and they read it as the 4 being superscripted. I tried to recreate this accident, but was unable to. I have a Nexus 5, and I was using the 'Hangouts' sms system.
Upgraded to Bold 9900 a few months ago, last week, Bold kept restarting and so got new bold. Using BES 4.1 and activated phone, but appears that only 5 days worth of emails in Inbox and no emails in Sub-folders. Spoke to Blackberry and they said that this was by design!!! Deleted user from BES and re-created, but still same problem. Is there anything I can do, can't believe that this is by design. It appears that even though you delete user from BES Server, details are still in back end database and so when user is recreated from address list, it links back to the database and repopulates with the limited emails. Is there a way that I can delete the user completely and then recreate from scratch and populate all emails from exchange inbox and sub-folders?

Not even sure if this is a Lollipop feature or a Samsung Gallery app thing. Assumed the latter as Quickpic doesn't allow this.

I removed/uninstalled the stock gallery app. Even though I have google photo installed, I got an error message when I try to access gallery by clicking the gallery icon in the samsung stock camera app. I also could not set the wallpaper for the lock screen, as when I click the gallery icon in the setting screen, it gave me similar error message saying "app not installed". How I could restore the stock gallery app, or change the default app to google photo (preferred option).

I restore a bunch of photo's and put them in DCIM > Camera folder along with the other pictures I've take, but those don't show up either. The only pictures that show up in the gallery are those that I take with the Camera. I checked the other folders for the .nomedia file, and I don't see it.
