I just got the android 5.1.1 update two nights ago and ever since the stock swiftkey flow has been acting up with Firefox. It works fine with everything else.
If I mess with it enough and open and close it a bunch of times it will work again but then later it stops.

I received the Lollipop update yesterday and since then have also updated Swiftkey. Swiftkey randomly stopped working this morning. When I try to type anywhere the keyboard doesn't open up, I've tried this on the Google search bar, Whatsapp, Snapchat and Notes and all had the same result. On going to the Swiftkey description page from the Input Settings, even the Swiftkey info stays for a few seconds and then it automatically closes. If i got to the settings from the Apps tab in Settings then I can view the app info. I switched to the Google Keyboard and everything is fine.

Device Manager shows a device called MTP when I connect the phone (Should be Media Transfer Protocol). I tried using the Camera Mode (PTP) but this time it shows SAMSUNG_Android.
View 1 Replies View RelatedJust got this phone out of the box and activated and the mic is not working... not when I'm on speaker phone, not while using Google Now or the voice recorder. And when I record it's getting absolutely no noise at all. However, it does work with an external headphone mic and over Bluetooth.
I've tried turning it off and removing and reinserting the SIM card, deleting the cache, using a small pin to clear the mic hole of "debris." Nothing is working. Firmware is apparently up to date.
I am using the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge and have had several Galaxies in the past. The other phones would predict what word I would type next, so I didn't have to enter all of the words manually. This phone doesn't do that, although it does try to guess which word I'm currently trying to enter. I'm using the Swype keyboard, just as I used to on other models. Why this feature isn't working?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've had my edge for a few days now and everything has worked fine. Today however, fast charging is not working. Just went to plug it in and it said six hours until fully charged. Thought it was just because it was at 6% and need some more power or something to start the fast charge? Doesn't seem so. I tried different wall outlets and it's still not fast charging. I am using the charger that came with the phone. It's charging so incredibly slow.
View 24 Replies View RelatedSo I've never dropped my s6 edge. It's only 20 days old in fact. However today all of a sudden the touch screen will not work. The two bottom buttons work as does the fingerprint work so I can unlock the phone and see the home screen but not do anything else. Typically if battery pull to fix something like this, however of course this is not possible on the s6.
So I've held the power button for 30 secs and it won't turn off cos it wants me too press the screen power off button, I've tried restarting it by booting it into download mode.
Before I updated my phone, at least 3 days ago, my emoji icon would work. Even if the keyboard was open. But now, if I press the emoji icon, even using the default theme for my phone it lights up and nothing comes up. Is there anything that could be done or I haven't paid enough much attention to this change?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI purchased my Lapdock 100 from a Verizon store yesterday, although I have an Atrix 2 through AT&T. When I tried it for the first time at home last night everything worked great but my phone was using the wifi connection. Today at work I try it over a cellular connection and the Firefox browser does not get internet, but the phone browser and any other phone based internet apps do while connected to the lapdock screen. For example I can maximize the phone's browser on the laptop screen and access the internet, but it is not optimal visually, I would much rather have the Firefox browser and other webtop apps working.
Is there something cell provider specific that is blocking the cellular data because I bought the lapdock from Verizon but use AT&T?
I use a Samsung S6 Edge. I have a fingerprint Lock enabled with the Device Auto Lock set to 5 minutes. I also have Trusted Places (Home & Office) added. I have a trusted Device (bose Headset) added as well. But still my device gets locked automatically after 5 mins even if i am in the trusted place or connected to trusted device.

When I received a text message it didn't make the sound so I thought my phone was on vibrate or silent but it wasn't so then I went to settings and checked my notification setting and when I clicked the sound it didn't make a sound. So then I checked if I could hear the ringtone and I also couldn't hear. Mind you the volume is all the way up. So I decided to restart my phone and the sound worked gain but after a while the sound went away again and idk what is causing it.
View 2 Replies View RelatedSamsung Galaxy S6 Edge.I've missed my alarm the last two mornings and I now realise why > the vibration wasn't working. I have it set to Vibrate only (no Sound) as I don't want to wake my baby as well.
Tests today also showed that when I put it in Silent/Vibrate mode it doesn't vibrate when receiving calls either.However when I select Silent/Vibrate mode it does the little vibrate feedback so its not like the vibrate feature doesn't work at all.
I factory reset the phone after i used odin to flash factory rom. Installed latest ATT update. Setup google account and again put the phone on wireless charger, after 10 mins of no activity send myself emails from different accounts from the PC and No email notifications at all with just Mobile Network only turned on. I tested this with wired charging and the result is the same.
Test condition:
1. Charge phone, wired or wireless, only turn on Mobile network, no wifi!!!
2. Leave the phone untouched and idle for 10+ mins
3. during this time no txt or phone calls otherwise it will reset the sleep flag
4. after 10+ mins of no activity send yourself emails from a desktop or another phone. You should in theory get notifications but I'm willing to be you will not.
I just got the S6 last week, and I've been using Firefox on it because I'm more familiar with the tabbing system it uses after using iPhones for 8 years. But when I try to save an image by long holding and clicking save image it just vanishes. I checked the gallery, Google photos, even went into My Files and checked images and downloads and checked Firefoxes downloads but it's as if it didn't save at all. So I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong or where these images could possibly be going.

I know that if I hold on the home screen and click the wallpaper settings, I get a little toggle which switches the motion effect on/off. But what ever I do it still makes no difference to the home screen. it still stays the same. Is there something that I am missing or can I downgrade to lollipop 5.0?

One problem i am having so far is the word flow (swipe to type) is not working at all, it was one feature i loved on my 1020. Any where i try using it doesn't work, from composing e mails to text.
