I have even checked my phone to my wife's S6 and as far as I can see, our settings are the same yet her phone doesn't vibrate when she gets a notification.

Text message: Use to vibrate twice to differentiate text from other notifications, but now only vibrates once like all other notifications.
Every time i use the left side volume button, or sound settings cog, and try to set my phone to vibrate, the ringer goes to vibrate, but the notifications automatically ho to silent. I want to set BOTH ringer and notifications to to vibrate.

The thing is, I never need notifications for appointments, I look at the calendar from time to time anyway. So, I allways turn of the notifications but I still get them, the kind of turn themselves back on after a while and I get both notifications by push AND by email.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Galaxy S5 on Verizon. I currently use the gmail app for my personal email and the email service on the phone for my work email. I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to turn off notifications for the work email. They show up in both the status bar and as the number of emails I have on the email icon. I have tried going to settings through the email app itself, and I think I have unchecked everything there. I have also tried going through application manager. When I go through the application manager, there is a box to check that says "show notifications", but it's checked and will not let me UNcheck it.

I have a different sound for texting and other notifications. When I get a text I get the vibration but not with any other notification. Vibration intensity is set all the way.

When I set reminders on my Z2 through the Keep app or Evernote, it alerts me via vibrate. This is problematic when I am far enough away from my phone that I don't hear the vibration or I'm in a loud place. I would really like it if I was alerted via a notification tone, but I can't seem to find the setting necessary to change that. In fact, I can't seem to change the notification specifics for any of my apps, besides having them on or off. The phone is not in silent mode, the sound is all the way up.

As far as I can tell, the only choices are for the notifications to vibrate all of the time or not at all. Even with Vibrate set to "only when silent," e-mails still vibrate when the ringer is turned up. Basically, I'd like everything (phone, e-mail, texts) to vibrate when in silent/vibrate mode, and to not vibrate when the ringer's turned up. I could do this pretty easily on my old HTC Incredible, but it eludes me on the D4. If this isn't possible with the stock system, are there any recommended apps that would to the trick?

I like the phone to be quiet in certain environments and this is killing me. I have had droid razors before and never had this issue.

I have a moto x that I've had for about a year. I'm on AT&T. Last weekend it upgraded to lollipop.
Now I'm having an issue where it won't stop chiming at every little thing. I've turned off all notifications. But when I do anything with it, it chimes with a dink dink sound. I wake it up, it dinks. I'm sitting here typing this message, and it dinks. The only app that I like to notifications for is my SMS app handsent. It has a different chime for when I get a message. So now I get 2 chimes when I get a message; the desired chime, and the new one.
I've cleared all my cache, I've rebooted, I've tried everything.
My iPhone randomly makes a sound like a drop of water into a puddle. I've turned off all notifications and it till does it.
