Galaxy S6 :: Why Have A Delay Opening Text Photo
Jun 11, 2015When I receive a text with a photo and I tap the photo to open it, there is about an 8 second delay before the photo opens. Is this a known issue? Or just me?

May 28, 2012I have around 250 photos and 15 videos in my gallery. Whenever I try to open my gallery its very slow, it takes almost 20 seconds to open up.
I have 2.3.6 Android version, and I have installed MX Video Player to view the video files.

Mar 30, 2012I check my mails several times a day like the most of you, all of a sudden my iphone 4 decided that I can only do that once after I start the app ??!? If I want to check again 1 minute after and the app is "open" it takes ages (about 2 minutes) before it actually checks the server ?? It's like a 2 minutes delay...
However, if I close the app and open to check again.... it's no problem. So basically I have to close the app (by double clicking the home button) EVERYTIME to be able to check my mails.... isn't that strange ?

Apr 19, 2010I have an unlocked/unbranded W995.I used SEUS to update the firmware to R1HA036 however found that the phone was subject to frequent random hangs while browsing through media.I went to reflash and SEUS downgraded me to R1HA035.The firmware seems a bit more stable but one annoying thing is that when browsing through photos it seems that the photos are pixelated for a few seconds before then 'cleaning up' and being able to be viewed properly.

Jul 20, 2012I have a Droid Razr XT912. All of a sudden, I'm not receiving any text messages!! Messaging worked fine when I first got the phone (a few weeks ago), then a couple of days ago, there was a huge delay in getting texts (of a few hours to an entire day), and now, no text messages whatsoever (I know for sure that three separate people have texted me a few times and I've gotten nothing!). I dont' think it's a service issue, as I move around quite a lot and the messages haven't ever arrived (plus, I called my provider and they said everything was fine on their end, but I suppose that's what they always say).
Not sure what the problem is. I haven't made any big changes to the phone since when I received text messages without any problem. Calls/e-mails/updates/apps/etc.still working fine, but curiously, my weather widget stopped updating about a week ago, and still refuses to work, even though my coverage is allegedly fine.Ideas? I'm desperate as most of my communication is done through text.or what it's worth, I live in China and my service provider is China Telecom. The phone has been unlocked and rooted

Aug 9, 2010I have a little problem, if we can consider this a problem. When i receave a SMS from a friend X, my Blackberry lag (the screen doesn't change, for like 0.5 sec). But when I receave a SMS from let's say Y, it can take up to 5 to 10 seconds before the screen move or I can move with the track pad to see the message. It's annoying.
So here is what I think, Is this because.. :
- I have over 35 000 SMS in the DB ?
- I have like 100 SMS from X and 5000 from Y ?
- My phone is on the vibrator but for Y he has a music ?
- Is this OS 5 ? But he is faster then OS 4 and I updated a while ago ?

Galaxy S6 :: Why Does Stock SMS App Delay Message Transmission
Dec 1, 2015My wife has a 16GB Galaxy S6 with basic clamshell case while my son has a 32GB Galaxy S6 which is entirely enclosed in an Otterbox Defender case.
From the same location (the classrooom she teaches in) I can receive a text message from my son BUT NOT my wife. The reception in her classroom is spotty at best. Only when she moves to a location with better reception is her phone able to actually transmit the text messages (sometimes I receive messages from her hours later when she leaves school).
why one S6 has no issue while the other does? We are all using the stock messaging app.

May 21, 2015Seems like when I wake up the phone, it takes a second for the clock to change to the correct time. Phone is locked, pressing the power button unlocks the display and the time stamp is from when the phone was locked, a second later the correct time changes.I've tried clearing cache on the following services, but the issue is still there. If i lock the phone and unlock it within a few minutes the time is synch fine and there is no delay. If i leave the phone locked for more than 5 minutes than the delay is noticeable.

Jun 2, 2015When I press microphone to do google search on home page--sometimes 10 second delay.
On S6 I notice whether at home with wifi or out with only cell data, that when I press the mic icon to do a google voice search I will see a white screen for up to 10+ seconds until the word "Listening" pops up.
It is as if it cannot connect to the service to perform the voice search immediately. Once it does connect, I can perform a web voice search with absolutely no delay...
Under running apps, Google App is of course running. I did disable these apps but not sure any would make a difference-except perhaps Cloud???
Note: I am not syncing Gmail or using a Google Email account for contacts, email, etc..

May 27, 2015I am using a Verizon Galaxy S6 and have been using Google Voice for voicemails. Recently, I discovered that sometimes my voicemails come through several hours after the call. This does not happen all of the time, but it does happen some. It is also pretty inconvenient. I do not want to go into the app and press refresh after missing a call, just to see if I have a voicemail. I did not have this issue with my Galaxy S3 or Moto X. Also, I have the sync, notification, etc settings all good to go.

It has been a few hours and I'm starting to become worried because my phone isn't opening the messages at all. Whenever I click the select button or select "open" from the message menu it acts as if I didn't press any button. I can reply back, and it'll mark it as read, but I cannot personally see the full text message.

When I open up an SMS conversation, it doesn't always open to the most recent entry, even if I was on the most recent before closing the conversation. I then have to attempt the tricky "flick the track pad up just enough to get to the bottom without actually putting the cursor in the message" maneuver just to get to the bottom.

Jul 13, 2015Google Calendar, and my phone app keeps opening on their own randomly. Every once and awhile my text messaging (Textra) or Dashlane will open.
It only opens however when the screen is shut off and I unlock the phone using my finger.
I don't know why its doing this and its so random.
