I've had other phones and never had this problem; you plug in the USB and it recognizes it as a drive. I just switched from S4 to S6 and it won't recognize it. I've even tried different cables.
View 1 RepliesI've had my S6 for about a month now and so far I love it. I finally noticed today that for some reason, when I upload a photo to Facebook (regardless if I'm in my gallery and sharing the photo to Facebook or if I'm in the Facebook app and upload a photo from there) the comments I add when initially uploading the pic don't show up. I can select the photo, pick which album I want it to go into, tag my friends etc, but the comments do not show up when I check Facebook from either my phone or a computer.
My last phone was an S4 and this was never an issue. I did just notice that if I don't pick an album to add the photo to, the comments show up. If I pick an album, the comments do not show up.
I've been on numerous forums and I've asked the Facebook community and even tried tech support with Samsung, all to no avail.
So here's my issue:
- Photos taken with the Galaxy S5 are a brilliant 5312x2988px in resolution.
- Uploading pictures with the Facebook app on my S5 makes the 5312x2988px pictures 960x540px on facebook.
- Uploading pictures with my previous Android device with an 8 megapixel camera were uploaded as 2048x1154px, much higher than the S5.
I can't seem to find any settings anywhere that are causing my high definition pictures to upload at a much worse quality to facebook. I don't expect to get full resolution, but I expect to at least be able to achieve the same upload resolution that my previous phone was getting.
I'm at the point where I don't even want to upload photos to facebook anymore because the quality is so bad compared to the original photo I took.
I need to resize individual pictures for uploading to a specific Web based program. With my gs5 I could do it in the photo editor. However I don't see the option under editor with my gs6.
View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I try to upload all my photos from my galaxy s6 edge the photos application opened up and all of my photos including deleted photos and weird photos that I have never seen. I am guessing those photos are maybe from the internet. When I look at my files on my phone and uncheck the hidden files box, I don't see any of these files there either. Where can I get rid of all these random pictures and how can I prematurely get rid of deleted photos?

I can change the regular access password but apparently that is different than the backup password needed for the fingerprint set up.

View 1 Replies View Relatedi updated my SGS 2 in software update for the first time a few days ago (never done that since i got it in end of may). It looked like it worked at first, it rebooted it self after a successful update. But when i was about to reboot it my self after a few hours it went hi-wire. I couldn't boot it and the screen was switching between the loading battery (but i wasn't charging it) and a empty battery with a warning sign between it every 3 sec. But after a while i got it working by repeatedly press the start button and putting the charge cable in it.so when i was now going to update it for the new 2.3.4 through Kies i tried for the first time to connect my phone with the usb-cable, but I'll never got the computer to recognize my phone. It won't show up with USB mass storage enable/disable, USB debugging unchecked/checked. I have tried reinstalling Kies and the Samsung USB driver, cleaning with CCleaner, cleaning the regedit for samsung files, but without luck.

If I connect the phone via USB cable to my computer without kies open, it keeps going in the connect/disconnect routine without stopping. It just keeps looping. If I plug in the phone with Kies open, I get the error message that I have to connect it in a different mode: "reconnect the device in Samsung Kies (PC Studio) mode. Current connection mode not supported by Kies."
I downloaded Kies while in America, but now I am in England going to school. I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 that connects to my computer and to Kies flawlessly.
I just got a notification that kies needed to be upgraded, so I did that and still no luck. How can I get this phone play fair with my computer? I have lots of pictures on my micro SD card, and I dont want to keep pulling out the card because the phones back cover is quite crappy and I dont want the tabs to wear out.

I just finally switched from an iPhone to the new Samsung Galaxy s5, so excuse me if this is a redundant question. I have searched everywhere for an answer and can't find one.
I used "DoubleTwist" to transfer all my songs from iTunes to the s5. When I open the "music" app (which I'm assuming is a samsung app as it came pre installed on my device) all my playlists/artists/songs are there perfectly. I moved all of the songs to the micro sd so that I can have more storage space on the device itself. Now, when I open the same music app it is empty. I can play the songs only if I go to "my files" ---> "sd card" --> "music". They is extremely annoying because that option only has all my thousands of songs in one giant list, no playlists/albums/artists, etc.
believe the source of the problem to be a faulty install of ICS plus a later rooting, as the phone would intermittently go from Android Phone to Unable to Recognize USB Device, to just not being able to recognize the phone. I've uninstalled KIES along with the drivers and installed them back again to no avail. Is it possible to flash the phone with a working Android version without using the computer - through the SD card?
View 2 Replies View RelatedThe charger port was having problems and wasn't charging, so I changed the charger flex following online instructions. I am 99% sure I did it correctly as it all works now, but the Galaxy S2 won't recognise my ThreeUK Sim anymore. It recognises others such as orange and t-mobile (It's Unlocked with Root). I put the old charger flex cable back in and it's working with my ThreeUK sim but it won't charge again so I want to know, does the charger flex cable change what sim cards it can read etc? I don't want to order cable to fix my phone before I know what to look for in it in case that has the same problems as the one I've ordered.

View 4 Replies View RelatedAlright, been playing around with the 950 since yesterday and am noticing that none of my photos will sync to OneDrive. I have everything properly configured, but am seeing this error in the "Camera" pivot of the Progress menu in the OneDrive app:
"Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again in a few minutes."
I've got 1.24 TB free space available out there, so that's not a problem. Photos sync fine via USB, so they're in good shape.
IMEI can be seen,everything is fine, when plugged in my orange sim card it just said "mobile network not available". The signal strength is fine and can be seen. I tried an O2 sim card, a talktalk (vodafone) sim card and they both worked fine. both of my 2 orange sim cards didn't work on this phone, but they worked fine on my other 2 phones. latest update, just flashed orange stock rom KJ4, got the same problem.tried manually connect to orange, got notice that "unable to connect, try later".
some more detail:every time when I flashed a new rom, always a notice saying "can't access to "/system/csc/ORA/system/". Tried *#272*imei#, there was no optional CSC available.
I have tried reinstalling the frimware and all that did was lose my apps. Tried doing a different firmware and tried rooting all the same results. The phone is definitely unlocked and unblocked as while I was searching google I came across one of those secret codes to show the status of the locks and all 4 of the categories were unlocked. I have tried a batterry pull and tried cleaning the Sim card. Also just in case this helps when I g into Settings>Call>Additional Settings it says 'Network Or Sim card error'. However the Sim card is perfectly fine.

I have uninstalled the app, and reinstalled it three times., My location services are on ect ect. I even bought iLoader which was suppose to work...and that hasn't! It gets to the very end of the upload and says it has failed, I haven't changed any settings anywhere so I am unsure why it's stopped letting me upload. The only thing it will let me do is post pictures on to other peoples walls, not my own albums.

For ages I have had trouble uploading videos to facebook. It's driving me mad! All my Facebook notifications and location services are on. I am simply selecting the upload photo/video option, choose existing, it compresses the video gets to about 80% and then 'error uploading photos' appears in a grey banner. I have deleted fb app and reinstalled it, rebooted my phone, switched off and on and completely closed app and reopened it! I am using iPhone 4 with all the latest software

What i want to know is if i update it via samsung to the latest software which is ICS 4. something would the phone be locked to t-mobile again? i know i will loose the root access im not bothered with that all i want to do it update it to the latest software, but afraid of it being locked back to t-mobile.

I moved some photos from my PC to the phone (no SD card) and during the copy process I received a message - "may not be compatible with device". I can see them in my gallery but get no response when I try to select one of them for wallpaper. If I tap it, the photo is isolated and that's it. No response from menu icon. There are forward/backward arrows at bottom of screen and tapping them just gets me the date I copied the photo to the phone.

I think the phone is set up to automatically select the best network. Normally this will be my WLAN,but I suppose,if I am in an area of the house with poor WLAN coverage,the mobile network is automatically selected?
How can I block this automatic (non-option)?
Weird problem i had was i tried AP Mobile once just to try it and that was it. But after charging my phone last night after 1 hour it was down to 60% and was quite hot. I looked at battery usage and 80% was being used by AP Mobile and i couldn't stop it. I eventually stopped the program but it was still showing on Battery Usage (I'm not sure if that is an average over the day or is showing you what is being used at that moment).
