How to resize it and keep it that way? I use the pinch feature to make it smaller but when I exit the app and go back to it it reverts back to the default size. I went into the settings and there is a font size selection, but it never changes the size.

I'm using an AT&T variant, and not sure if they took that ability out, or if it was just an omission from the s6 in general.
The app is fine by me, but the volume rocker changing the text size is getting annoying. Figured I'd check before changing to a new messaging app.
So I don't know how I did this, but the font size on my text messages is tiny. Im in my mid 30's, I can't see.
The font size is normal everywhere else. I have it set to large in the settings under "display" .
How to adjust the font in my text messages?
I have a Galaxy S6 with Android 5.1.1. When I first purchased my phone a couple of months ago, I could change my font sizes in the messaging app using the volume buttons. That no longer works. I can however change the font sizes by pinching. What do I have to do to have the volume keys change the font sizes again? Or was that feature removed by one of the updates?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have read a lot about people wanting to know how to change their font size on the phone, and I've subseuently read how people are getting advice to download apps for this etc.I wanted to let you know how I do it and hope that it helps......While you are in within a text message, or, about to compose one, tap the 2nd menu button along the bottom (the one with the 3 lines). You will see the options: All messages/Quick Text/Compose/Call/Attach/MoreTap on 'More' and there is another menu, where you then choose 'Text size'.

View 5 Replies View RelatedIn his iPhone Settings, under Accessibility, my boss has his Large Text set at 32pt font. However, about half of his work emails come through in the large font, and half do not (they come through in 5pt font, it's really small). The email is an Microsoft Exchange email, and I've had my fair share of problems working on an iPhone with an Exchange account, but this seems odd as there doesn't seem to be a reason why some emails come through in 32pt font, and other's don't. I don't know if it has anything to do with the length of the chain of the email, like 40 email responses come through small whereas an email chain of 5 responses comes through in 32pt. AppleCare had no idea, and did some troubleshooting (e.g. rebooting and try to reset all preferences) which didn't work.

I just bought a Galaxy S5. Really liking the phone so far. Forums/message boards displaying different text sizes on the same page. Attaching a couple of screenshots of what I mean.
On the first one, as soon as I touched on the "in my humble opinion", it shrunk to that tiny size (without opening).
On the second one, the op's text is readable, but everything else is real small.
Hoping it's just a setting adjustment that needs to be made.
I did the lollipop upgrade a few days ago and now when I get a text message the font size is really tiny on the pop up display. Can this be adjusted it? I know how to adjust the font size when I go right into the messenger app. But I can't seem to find any setting to adjust the font size in the pop up. It wasn't that small when the O/S was Kit Kat.

View 11 Replies View RelatedI use my S5 to read / respond to corporate emails. At work we use MS Exchange server / Outlook which defaults the email font to 11pt Calibri for both new emails and replies. But whenever I respond to a work email using the stock S5 email app it uses 11pt Times New Roman for the response I type. Not only that but I noticed that it even converts prior messages in the thread to 11pt Times New Roman though they were originally 11pt Calibri. The interesting thing is that while it converts prior email message body content to 11pt Times New Roman it actually uses 10pt Tahoma font for the email header section (i.e. From:, Sent:, To:, etc.) which does actually look much more similar to Calibri than Times New Roman does.
This is all very unfortunate since I would like to use my phone as a seamless extension of my PC. I would like emails sent from my PC or phone to be indistinguishable from each other by the readers. By converting all body content to Times New Roman, it not only looks really bad / unprofessional but it immediately identifies that the email was composed on the phone. As I mentioned above the stock email sender does seem able to use Tahoma font... so as a compromise I would even accept that my replies would default to Tahoma font instead of Times New Roman.
This seems to be longstanding issue for many people using Samsung Galaxy phones and going back to the S3. I saw the "Change outgoing email font?" Though that post was for the S3 and highlighted the problem of changing the outgoing font... it did not call out that the problem is in fact deeper since the stock email system changes fonts of past emails in the thread!?
I am using the stock messaging app. When I open the text thread for one of my contacts, at the bottom where you would start another text, it says "enter chat msg" and there is a green send button. It just so happens this person is also a gs6 owner. For all my other text threads, it says at the bottom "enter message" with an orange send button.

Weird thing is, I attached the same image using Hangouts and it worked just fine. Surprisingly I really like the stock app so I'd rather keep it.
View 9 Replies View Relatedis there any way to increase the size of the font in the notification bar? it is quit a bit smaller on my new G4 vs my old G3. In general the fonts seem smaller. I have my text size in display settings set to "maximum" now; it was "very large" on the G3. The G3 is on the right (or bottom one), and while the G4 looks ok in the browser, when on the phone, the notification icons are noticeably smaller.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhy bother to make a large 4.3in screen, when the font size is now smaller than ever. My previous phone was a HTC Desire S which was superb in every way, with the right size font everywhere, not just some parts of the phone. (only reason i replaced it was it was stolen last week on holiday). The main menu pages on the Sensation, settings, the font is too small and strains my eyes. Why cram everything in so small? Do HTC not consider that millions of people already wear glasses to aid vision, people of all different ages? I AM aware that font sixe can be increased in texts, emails and internet, but it needs to be larger in ALL AREAS of the phone, especially as its a large 4.3 inch screen!Another gripe I have is I bought a UK phone, so expect the � sign to be on the first page, rather than the $ sign, which I never use, as we don't have dollars in the UK!
