View 3 RepliesOk, so my phone is doing this thing where when the screen is on it will turn off when I pass my hand over the front camera and will then turn back on when I move my hand away. It does this intermittently and when I power the phone off and then on again it goes away only to return anywhere from a come days to a couple weeks later. I'm running stock on an AT&T G3.

Finaly when I eventually get to the lock screen it says: conect to power but I charged it last night and the percent bar (top right) says 100% . Now it says to charge with itunes? What am I supposed to do!

iPhone 4, I don't know what the problem is?
My S5's screen turns on every 15 seconds or so while the phone is charging. Its not that big a deal, but I can't imagine it causes the phone to charge faster when it is turning on the screen all the time.
What's odd is that it stops doing it when my phone gets to 90%-charged. From 90% to 100%, it doesn't do it, but any percentage lower than 90%, it turns on about every 15-20 seconds and stays on for like 2 seconds, turns itself off, then turns on again 15 seconds later.I have browsed through the Settings pages, but can't find anything that looks like a way to stop this.
Got a problem with my 5800 - just today, the touch screen has started being odd. It sometimes works perfectly but then i try and press a button on the left hand side of the screen and it chooses the one at the right-hand side. This obviously makes everything very difficult! Any ideas as to why this might be/how I could repair it? I've tried the touch screen calibration about 10 times, it sorts it out for about a minute.I can send it to Nokia to replace but I could really do without sending my phone away
View 13 Replies View RelatedSo I recently unbricked my AT&T S5 with OC4 Stock Modem and Kernel. Everything was working perfectly fine until I clicked software update. The update downloaded and started to install, but after that it goes into recovery mode and ended up failed to update. The phone then reboots to the at&t logo screen, then to a black screen with error messages such as "Unfortunately, System UI has stopped", "Unfortunately, Media Storage has stopped" and "Unfortunately, setting has stopped".... I pressed the power button to see if I can go to emergency mode, but it will give me another one of those error message "Unfortunately, Emergency recovery manger has stopped" or something like that. What can I do to fix this?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI used to be able to wave my hand over the black screen and I would see if I had any notifications, not now. Several posts have said to check the air wake up box, but air wake up is not an option.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI had my phone on the fast charger and when i went to unplug it, i noticed a band of black, blue and pink had began to form in the upper left hand corner of my phone. I haven't had the samsung s6 long , so i am not sure what to do. At&t claims it is liquid damaged, but it has been in a otterbox case.
View 2 Replies View Relatedthis morning when I woke up, I unplugged my active and it wouldn't turn on. The only thing that stayed on was the green light in the upper left hand side of the phone. I am new to android devices and am not sure what to do.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI don't know much about modding devices, but would it be possible to replace the Nexus One's screen with a congruently sized screen just with better multitouch sensors? Or does the Nexus One's harware/software not support it, would there be too much wiring, etc.?
View 3 Replies View RelatedTry this... Hold your phone sideways as if it's in your jacket pocket. Then cover to top sensors of the phone.... The power button wont turn the phone on. That explains why you can't push power in my pocket as I bring it out......
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have this problem where the screen turns a pinkish hue every now and then. It is not app specific and the color goes back to normal if I turn off/on the screen or switch apps (for example, let's say I'm in Chrome when the screen turns pinkish, if I use the multi-task button and go into messenger, the screen will correct itself. Same would happen if I go to a different Web page... As long as the displayed image on the screen changes) This is my second S5 with the problem. Phone is on verizon, stock lollipop.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy phone has somehow switched to a left hand swipe to unlock the phone (same as default unlock slider, execpt for left hand). How can I reset it back to the right hand?
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy screen turns off every time I use the power button to turn it on and then place my finger to unlock it, I then need to turn it on again and unlock it. This happened almost every time I open it, usually I need to unlock it again after it turns off but sometimes when I turn on the screen the phone is already unlocked.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI picked up my S6 yesterday and also got the Samsung wireless charging plate with it.
The problem I'm facing is that when ever the phone screen turns off (whether it's me turning it off or the screen timing out) the wireless charging pauses, stops and then starts again giving this little beep sound. I thought nothing of it and left it 'charging' overnight and in the morning it had charged from 8% to 3%...
Is there something I'm not doing right? Should it wirelessly charge while the screen is off?
So two weeks ago I decided I want to upgrade my SII. I connected with Kies and I started with upgrade. Everything went fine until I restarted my phone. Ever since then my screen completely randomly turns itself on, like I pressed any button. It's really annoying and I don't know how to fix this. I even removed most of my applications I downloaded from Market Play.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a Samsung Galaxy S6 running complete stock 5.1.1 G920F.This happened to me quite a few times over the past few days. It happens sometimes when I am doing something on the phone or the phone is in the pocket. What happens is that the phone turns off or something of that nature because the only way I can turn it on after this is by plugging it in to charge.
View 2 Replies View RelatedScreen randomly turns on and refuses to go off unless you press the power button?
My S6 is on 5.0.2 (No 5.1.1 for the international S6 yet) and this happens when there's no charger plugged in and no new notification. No case on it or anything pressing against the power button. Its definitely a software related bug. It happens randomly maybe twice or thrice a day but I've only noticed it in the past 2 days. Its happened almost 10 times so far including thrice in the past 4 hours.
My main concern is screen burn on the Amoled (happened to one of my Lumia's and the huge battery drain if I don't notice that its turned on.
Periodically I go to turn the display on via the power button and the screen is either completely black (powered off) or I only see a blue led light flash in the indicator area. My only way to power on the phone is to pull the battery, replace and power back on.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I use the G S5 camera flash it turns the phone off and have to remove the battery to turn it on.
View 5 Replies View RelatedMy phone turns on but my screen doesn't, the red light come on and so does the buttons but the screen stays black. The screen doesn't have a back light neither. I took out the battery to reset it but that didn't work either. What should I do?
View 1 Replies View RelatedBasically my phone slowly started turning off(no shutdown just straight off) after long periods in the car using the SatNav even when it still had over 40% power on the battery.
Eventually the other day it just started turning off every time I tried to open maps (whilst lost in some random suburb!)
And now if the phone is plugged on charge I can do whatever I want with it, as soon as I take it off charge it will stay on until I unlock the screen and try to do anything (swipe or open an app.) Immediately I though the battery was to blame but why would it stay on until I did something?
Now the stranger part, if I start my music, start the satnav etc whilst its plugged in then unplug it, as long as I don't unlock or do anything on the screen the phone will continue to work. I can even start and stop music, skip tracks from the lock screen, even unlock and lock it again, as soon as I try to load an app, boom it just goes black, not even a shut down, just straight to black.
I am having a new problem with WiFi intermittently disconnecting. It seems to be happening after the screen has been turned off for a while--I turn it back on and the wifi is not connected--once I unlock the phone the wifi then automatically connects. It happens on both my home and work network, and not with any other devices. Haven't changed any settings recently. Tried to turn Smart Network Switch off but that didn't work. "Keep wifi on during sleep" is and has been set to "always".
Possibly related is that a similar thing is happening with Bluetooth. I only have Bluetooth on while driving, and I have noticed that the connection has been randomly disconnecting, and then I have to manually toggle Bluetooth back on and reconnect the phone to the car.
This only started happening recently where my phone won't let me turn my screen brightness down! It turns green and flickers with horizontal lines and I haven't put it anywhere near water and it doesn't feel as though it's overheating when I use it. It's progressively getting worse! I find that even when I set it to the next setting where it stops flickering eventually that setting begins the same process! It starts off almost auto adjusting as if it can't decide what setting I put it at and then it begins turning green!

Samsung Galaxy S5
Over the last 3 days ive noticed my phone using a lot more battery than it usually does, i can usually get upto 2 days battery usage when its used frequently, but it has been getting less than a day over the last 3 days.
I turned the phone off with the power button and tried to turn it on again, The instant i press the power button the screen turns on (stays black but becomes a dark grey with the backlight) for about 30 seconds, but nothing else happens, the screen turns off after those 30 seconds and its back to square 1.I have tried turning it on again without a sim card, or memory card, or both and still the same result
I have this very annoying problem with my GS5. When the screen is locked and is plugged into the charger, anytime I receive a text message the screen lights up and NEVER automatically puts itself back to sleep. The screen will dim, but stay lit until I physically press the lock button.
View 14 Replies View RelatedSince I allowed an update on my phone, my screen/background is continuously coming on by itself and this drains my battery. The screen used to only come on when I pressed the power button. I have my display settings set so the screen is supposed to cut off after 15 seconds of inactivity.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an SLS Galaxy 5. I am current on system updates. I am using the Email app for my exchange server email. Whenever I hit refresh, and often when I simply open the app, I get a message at the bottom of the screen that says 'Email sync turned off.' I have go to through the process of 'Manage Accounts, select account, Sync Settings, and check the 'Sync Email' box every time. Then it syncs, I read my email, exit the app, and I start the process over again the next time I open the app.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI transferred/restored all my info and apps to it used it all day till night perfectly fine. It was fast, wifi working fine, etc. Then tonight I installed Go Launcher on it and played with it for like 10 mins and then noticed wifi stopped working. I turned wifi off and when I tried to turn it back on it failed, I kept trying until wifi turned on. Mean while the phone was super super slow so I turned off power saving mode but it didnt work. Then I noticed wifi started turning off on it own. My next step was remove Go launcher but it didnt fix anything, the issues stayed. Next I reset it to factory setttings but when it came on, wifi was failing (and phone slow) even during the initial set up wizard.
The phone was completely fine during the whole day.And my biggest worry is that this is an exchanged phone. I originally got a supposedly new s5 from ebay, (from a guy with thousands of reviews/transactions and like 98% positive score) but eventually I realized the battery was fake and that the IR blasted didnt work. He agreed to exchanged it and I received it yesterday and now today the phone has already failed but in the weirdest way possible by being completely fine for the majority of the day.
This has been going on for about five days now. Whenever I don't take full care in how I place down my blackberry, basically everyday use, the screen turns black, the red LED shows, and the phone reboots. I really don't know what the problem is.
