I got my gs6 about month from now its running android 5.1.1 and i think its getting overheated i installed cpu-z and i am monitoring the temperature when i think its getting hot i get about 56°C is it concederd too hot or is it normal and when normal i get between 32°C and 40°C ....

I've just had the latest firmware update on my SG2, the new ICS. how I go about rooting my SGS2? I want to use some apps that's only for a rooted SGS2.I don't want to change any firmwares or themes or whatever as I'm happy with ICS, just need to root it.

View 4 Replies View RelatedAfter I updated my phone to new version of android(5.1.1 build 546) my phone charge slowly and it's overheating. It's Temperature increase to 67 Centigrade. So I did software repair with pcc and after phone started I did factory reset.but again it's overheating. Phone is new and it doesn't have hardware issue. Furthermore, it charges slowly.only 10% every hour.
Look at the Temperature:
Ambient temperature : 25-30 centigrade
Temperature after stop charging.
It seems most of the mods are 1.6. I was wondering if there are any Android 2.x ROMs that run at least as fast as 1.6. I don't want a ROM at the expense of the phone running noticeably slower.

Bluetooth doesn't need to be connected to anything, if it's on my speeds are down to about 0.2Mbps and with Bluetooth off they're around 25 Mbps. I've tried a factory reset but didn't make a difference.

I can't seem to find a call log anywhere? When I hit the phone symbol, it brings up the 'speed dial' screen with the most frequently called contacts, but there doesn't seem to be the typical call history with calls made, missed calls etc....or at least I can't find it!! I missed a few calls today and after the notification disappeared I can't find the numbers again!

I've tried wiping the data in the apps manager. It worked fine in 1.6 and I can't remember if I've ever tried it on 2.1.
SE should really unpack this from their phones and offer it on the market keeping it free for SE users, it's a really great piece of software! but then again it would probably make this "authentication" problem more common for SE users if the phone HAS to autheticate it. Ah well..
I just bought z3 dual and just moved from windows to android. I am pretty new to android os and I am honestly liking it a alot.
However, I am really disappointed by the battery performance of z3. The phone is running android lollipop the latest.
i unlocked my screen and opened up the sms app. The screen went totally black and Android running in the back ground. The phone vibrates when i touch the screen but no respons from the screen. I booted it with vol+power button, did not work. I ran the sony connect application on my pc and got the phone reset and upgraded my software.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI currently have an unlocked Nexus 6 running latest build of 5.1 on Verizon right now since Sunday. However I can't get the Nexus to show in my Android Device Manager. The Nexus does show in Google Play. I have cleared cache and data from Device Manager app, I have uninstalled and re installed Device Manager as well. I have went into Google settings>Security and toggled on and off "Remotely locate this device" and "Allow remote lock and erase". I have powered down and on this device several times. I have removed my Google account and then resigned back into the account. I just can't think of anything else to do. I have searched online for this problem and have done everything that was told to me. I am hoping not to factory reset the device but if its the last result, I may not have a choose.
P.S. Is there a setting that I'm missing that has either Gmail or Inbox app retrieve emails quicker. It doesn't seem to be refreshing or pushing the emails to my phone very often. I have missed couple very important emails because of this. Not sure if its a related problem with the device manager situtation (doubt it).
I just got a Nexus 6 running Android 5.1.1 Today I added my personal email account and my work email account to the phone. When I tried to remove my work email account, the option to remove is not there. I've gone into accounts and selected the account that I want to remove and the option is just not there. The same for my personal account too. How can I remove this email account from my phone?
View 3 Replies View RelatedYesterday, a small amount of water hit my phone/screen. Honestly, it didn't seem like enough that could get in and do damage. But I didn't realize it, so it sat there for a little bit before I saw it and wiped it down. Worse things have happen to my phone and it wasn't harmed, but this is the only reason I can think for it to be acting this way.
Anyway, I plug it into my charger and it starts going wonky. Kept disconnecting and connecting to the charger (even though it was staying plugged in), then it said it was conencted to the dock, (don't have one), then it enabled some power sharing mode, how. Just got all wacky. then it started disabling things because the battery was overheating.
I blew into the open ports with a small lawn blower and let it sit. It's still not acting right today. If I turn the phone back on, it will eventually start to over heat again. I noticed my backlight capacitive buttons keep lighting up as if the screen in being touched. If I open an app, the app opens then goes away as if the back button is being touched. So I can't exactly open anything!
I have brought s6 its a good device but when i turn video recording its over heat and the " phone it will say this device is very hot try again when cool down and then camera don't work". After reading that i have ran to costumer care they have checked it and saying we cant give u a replacement and say they can only give replacement when the temperature is at 49c what should i do!!

I had to charge my phone and when on or off it wouldn't charge due to overheating. My battery drained and again tried to charge with no luck, but this time instead of the normal charge battery display it showed a red exclamation mark in the middle with a red light at the top of the phone. I have tried everything: Power and volume down button, reboot, factory reset and still same message when charging.

For the past a month my phone has been heating up more than usual. No overheating warning or random restarts. I played hearthstone and other graphic intensive games and my cpu temp spikes up to 75c then goes back to 60c+ (using Cpu Temperature Pure). I started using the app when I felt that the device is getting hot. I am a noob at all of this and I want to know is the app giving me the right numbers? Any other way that I can check if my device is having hardware problems?

My phone gets very hot and a notification pops us that says "Closing apps to cool down", all of my unnecessary apps close and then my home-screen image changes to the default. This has happened about 3 times and I am wondering if it may be a defect in my phone. Ever since this issue started my battery life has been terrible it only lasts about 6-7 hours. I wipe cache pretty much every week and I am on Verizon.

I have had no problems at all with the phone at all however yesterday it got hot at the top near the camera lens and the battery died in 2 hours. I turned it off and on and it seemed ok but then did it again. I removed all apps and everything else that was using the cpu as the news and weather app was displaying loading continually I thought that might have something to do with it. It seemed ok for a while and then did it again. I noticed that although there were 3 grey bars of network signal there was no G/3G/H or in/out arrows displayed next to the bars. Tried a manual network search and it seemed ok but then the same thing happened... overheated and battery died fast again. Turned it off and on again...tried to make a call...no connection. I know I do not get a good signal at home but can usually move around and get one but couldn't even after a reboot. Put sim in another phone and it connected ok.

So I did one test I installed a app that monitor temp and when I did a benchmark it went to 86 Celsius !

I'm running Cataclysm ROM (the Sept. 10 beta), Franco kernel, and I'm rooted and use Xposed. I receive this error when I try to add a card in Android Pay: "Android Pay cannot be used: Google is unable to verify that your device of the software running on it is Android compatible". I tried disabling root entirely and using RootCloak (Xposed) to hide root from Android Pay and Google Wallet, but I still can't use Pay. Wallet still works as it always has.

The GPS provider has provided me with a link for a program that would enable me to receive the GPS locator information from my PC rather than directly from the satellites. But it is for a Bluetooth connections, which I don't have on my PC. Is it possible to use the USB connection that came with the phone to receive the information from my computer?
I have a problem with update. When I plug phone to PC and run KIES I cant see what software I'm running on my phone. Due to that I cant update to ice cream sandwich on kies. How do I come back to stock kernel or what to do to let kies to update original software ??
