Just started having this issue today. Previously I was able to say OK Google anytime the device was on. Now it seems that I have to actually open up the Google app to get OK Google to work.
View 8 RepliesI am inordinately happy about this, but also annoyed that I didn't know about it earlier. It was in the Google Settings app rather than the phone's settings, so I missed it! This was the one feature I envied on the Moto X and I had it all this time!

View 4 Replies View Related1 week ago i send my nexus 5 to the service because it was rebooting after google logo appears...after 2 days the send my device back.They didn't fix it cause of liquid damage... yes liquid sensor was red...they send a paper witch it says that lcd,battery,fpc flex,mainbord sort circuit due to liquid damage ...after 5 days i open my self the phone and i realize that the problem was on the power button...and voila!!!the phone open again,everything works fine except gsm signal .... after i insert the sim card it says "no service"sim card works i test it to an other phone. is any way to test quallcom transceiver? When i realize that the devise works i make update to 5.1 so i don't know if gsm works with older version. I think this is a hardware problem.

But the backlight works and so does phone (i know the phone still works because my alarms still are going of) What do you (people on the forum) think is wrong with my phone. Do i need a whole new display and touchscreen or is there just a wire that needs to be reconected?
View 2 Replies View RelatedSo the title says it all. I dropped my phone, after which just get LTE,. If I toggle to 3g/2g, it says No Service. I replaced my simcard from tMobile, still no luck.
How do I know what has broken? Will flashing stock Radio only work? Do i need to take a backup of something before flashing radio?
I am currently running 4.4.4 stock with root and xPosed framework. Phone was purchased on its launch, so, its not under warranty anymore...
1) Bluetooth wont turn on, but wifi works
2) Factory Reset to 5.1.1 , 5.0, 4.4.x doesn't work
My Nexus 5 refuses to turn on Bluetooth only. The slider moves to the right and then back again. I have factory reset the phone 3 times, flashing different versions from 5.1.1, 5.0 and 4.4.x to see if it fixes the problem, but I have had no luck. I know some other people have had problems too, but there doesn't seem to be a clear solution. I don't know if it is a hardware issue, since wifi works fine and the wifi and Bluetooth antennas are one unit located on the back cover( according to my understanding). I tried replacing the back cover from a different nexus 5, but still couldn't get Bluetooth to work.
My sister has an S5 and got it wet. She thought it was dead but turns out the backlight only works now when it is turned all the way up. The issue with thar is that max brightness drains the battery quite well. Any way of fixing the backlight? I tried Lux auto brightness and that just turned the brightness down, which made the light turn off as it does when adjusted manually.

I-heart radio will work as does Amazon music. This started about 1 month ago before that all was fine. I have reset to factory setup so even with a clean phone it will not work. Again only workers with wifi.

View 9 Replies View RelatedMy phone has been acting up since installing the latest iOS 7.1.1. The back lighting for the screen works intermittetly. I have been able to get it to come back on by turning the phone off and back on, but not every time. Once I enabled VoiceOver through Siri and turned ScreenCurtain On and Off. Other times, just clicking the home button and a few times on a notification that would turn the back lighting on. The phone seems to want to respond to turning the back lighting on, but does not do it every time it should. It usually takes 10 - 30 minutes of me working with it to get it to come back on. The phone has not been dropped and is in an Otterbox case.

I have troubles with Snap Chat, it only works on WiFi. I have a Galaxy S6 for Sprint. My chive app also closes out right away when I open it. Don't know if the problem is related or not.
View 3 Replies View Related- My s6 Egde connects to wifi but no Internet connectivity, while 3G works without any issues.
- No problem from the Wifi end because I've another phone and it connects just fine over wifi.
- Plus, I have to actually turn off the Mobile Data so wifi can even connect (still no Internet though).
- When Mobile Data is on, Wifi says "Ready to connect when network quality improves" but as mentioned before, no problem with wifi.
I've already tried reformatting the card, but it continues to not work with my S5. Likewise, none of my spare sd cards work with my S5. Does this mean that my sd slot on the phone is broken?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI made an update yesterday for the French firmware (BOGS TO COH2) android 5.1.1 especially to solve this problem. My screen works perfectly but the top of it doesn't work when I tap. I downloaded a multitouch app. And I found that the swipe works perfectly if I came from the bottom. So I think that it is a software problem. Some permanent solution? Rebooting the phone solves the problem for a while.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Tylt Vu at home and at work, and they charge my phone relatively quickly from ~70% to 100% without issue daily in the case.
The other day I put my phone on the home one at ~40% and picked it up hours later and it hadn't charged at all (probably lost a few %, I forget). I thought it was a fluke but yesterday I had the same thing at work when the battery was between 50-60%.
I've seen the issue at home at the tylt vu charger stayed constant green like it was charging. Yesterday at work, it was blinking in loops in red and putting it in day dream (while plugged in) seemed to correct the issue. Daydream stops notifications from showing up though and isn't what I want. I like the ACDisplay app blinking notifications at me MotoX style, especially at work.
So far when having the issue I've tried
- rebooting the phone
- rebooting the wireless charger
- the vu charger has a proprietary cable, so I can't use the Samsung one on it
- took phone out of case to ensure it wasn't a case issue
- installed latest update from VZ (wifi calling one), just to say I have latest updates

trying a variety of wireless chargers? Is there a daydream app that I can choose which notifications it will show me? I looked at dashclock and briefly at the appstore yesterday but didn't find something that fit the bill. I need to see Hangouts, Touchdown, etc.
ive changed the settings in my network according to the way they are supposed to be any sim i place in my phone does not allow callin or texting the phone is unlocked. Also went in to call settings and it says network or sim error each time i try with a diffrent sim. when i placed my sim in another samsung gs2 it was working fine i could call text surf the net etc?

I know the proximity sensor is responsible for this, but it seems to work properly, as i tested it in LCD test mode (dialing *#0*#). I`ve tried restarting it or looking for any possible setting, but nothing works.

Wasn't difficult on my Note 4 but can't seem to figure out the best way to do this on the S6. Is there a certain contact manager that will import them from her phone and then export them correctly? Contacts+ doesn't seem to work worth a crap for this.
