I'm in the process of disabling / uninstalling unwanted apps. There are 4 ANT apps (example, ANT Radio Service, which sounds needed) that I'm wondering if I can Disable before I start updating all my apps? Safe to disable or should I leave them alone?
List of apps safe to disable on stock S6 Android 5.0.2? I've found some on the internet and on the forum, but nothing specifically for Samsung/TouchWiz and nothing for Android 5.
I am using Advanced Task Killer which I'm finding really useful. I have an ignore list set and it kills the apps that aren't being used regularly. However, I'm wondering why these apps keep restarting again. The sort of things that keep restarting are Gallery, Messaging, Yahoo! Messenger, Email, Skype, Maps, etc. I'm sure that I'm signed out on all of these apps and have the settings set such that they shouldn't keep restarting/synching. Are there any apps similar to 'msconfig' in Windows where you can tick which things you want to start up and what you don't?
I accidentally left my phone in my truck yesterday while taking the kids school clothes shopping for about an hour. When I returned, my phone was in "COOL DOWN MODE" (due to the extreme TX heat we are experiencing for the last couple of months). Once it cooled down it seemed to be returned to its once wonderful glory and working just fine.
I drove home (about 1.5 hour drive) and somewhere in that time frame the phone put itself in "SAFE MODE". I have since been unable to disable the "SAFE MODE". I have followed the suggested power off and reboot method and that has done nothing. I have powered off, removed battery and then powered on and that has also produced no positive results. I am looking for another option than FACTORY RESET.
I took some pictures in the pool since it is waterproof , but all applications are now shut , my down volume button does not work , and I've tried , rebooting , restarting , recovering etc but nothing , i repeat once all the applications like fb , Instagram , games are irresponsible , but if i drag the app in the main screen it works but lags alot.
Can I manually remove the safe volume warning? Im rooted. Also how about the screen that comes on everytime Bluetooth is toggled on? And lastly, the Google location consent everytime GPS is toggled. All 3 of these things are super redundant and super annoying.
Ok so i droped my new galaxy s6 edge and i thoight i was all right untoll my phone rebooted and stuck in safe mode now i realised my bottem volume buttomvis stuck down.
My phone is stuck in Safe Mode and doesn't leave it even after restarting. Conventional methods don't seem to work , anyou way I can revert it back to normal. I'd prefer not to do a factory reset, but if nred be I will
I also get an error message: "android.process.acore". I am now unable to use my phone as it continually restarts and I cannot access any other options.
I'm an avid app-hopper.. on my 32Gb 3GS, I have a tendency to hop from app to app, into safari, then into another app etc. What I'm finding is that after doing this, some titles (usually games such as Airport Mania and Monopoly) start running really slugglishly (and Monopoly starts complaining that it's running out of memory) until I open the taskbar and start closing everything there.
I may have missed it but is there any way to tell which apps are 'running' in the background and which aren;t - or do we assume that all apps in the taskbar are doing so? (although when I have restarted an app from the taskbar, most load up again from scratch).
So I'm just wondering if there's a way to disable this feature so that when I press the Home button, I know the app is actually closing properly?
I just upgraded my Xperia X10 to Android 2.1 (it's with at&t). the "Foursquare" app pops up randomly. I've never used this app, nor will I ever. It showed up with the upgrade. How do I get rid of it? At the very least, how do I keep it from popping up in the middle of other functions?
Is there something where I can disable auto lock when in certain apps? I.E.I am in the maps app and want the screen to stay lit until I close the maps? I am new to the jailbreaking scene so sorry if this has been asked(I searched too)
Is there a way to leave applications open and running with the phone locked? I need to lock the screen while streaming video, with a tv output. I am pretty sure I saw an app for this in cydia a while back, but I can't seem to find it now.
I cant update my apps and i cant buy in-apps purchase because my apple id is disable. I already change my password and apple the two steps verification and still didn't have effect on my apple id , and said when i already done applying two-steps verification . Your apple id was enable , but when i update my apps , the dialog box appears and said your Apple Id is disable .
I had a recent update that updated all my apps. My Droid Turbo that I bought about a month ago came with 54 apps. All of them you can only disable not uninstall since it is part of the OS from what I understand.
Is there a way to disable having to enter your password in the App Store or on iTunes to download free songs or apps? I've looked all over in settings, so perhaps I've just overlooked it?
On the next update we need the option to disable more apps like that weather thing that's always running and backup assistant + media that I don't use and dlna. We need to be able to disable all apps that is safe to do so. Cause the three that I mention here are running all the time and I don't even use them. I've stopped them and there already running again. At least make these 3 so that they can be disabled.
I recently bought my Blackberry 8520 pay as you go with T Mobile.I topped up 10£ to start off with in order to register my personal email, which worked fine.T-Mobile offers price boosters which enable you to go on the internet and use apps email etc unlimited for a certain period of time. However a while ago, after I updated my phone via desktop manager I suddenly saw that my email account on blackberry was no longer registered. And I could only register enterprise email. For some reason I then wiped completely my handset. But other than deleting everything it didnt help solve my email and app problem which were no longer in my phone.Question is, does blackberry disable to use your apps and email once youre out of credit & booster is ended? Even though I'm connected to wifi at home. Also gprs is no longer GPRS in capital letters but in small letters now.
Last night my phone started notifying me of SMS messages by a new pop up at the bottom of my screen. I use Hangouts and couldn't find anything in the settings in there so I switched over the the standard android messaging. I turned off all notifications and the pop up still was coming every time I received a message. This almost appears like is a system notification, since it is the same style as other pop ups. (ie: "copied to clipboard" when you take a screenshot) I have attempted to attach a screen shot of the notification. Hopefully it worked. How to disable this notification? Nothing has worked yet.
