Galaxy S6 :: How To Transfer Music To Make Them A Ringtone
May 22, 2015
Having bought and downloaded several albums via the Google Play app I thought they would appear in my music folder but sadly they didnt and I can only access them via the app. Is there a way of transferring them to my music folder so I can in turn use them as a ringtone? If not is there anywhere I can download music from that saves it in the music folder? I asked a guy in Carphone Warehouse and he showed me a site that turned out to be an illegal download site which I would rather not use.

With my S4, when I connected to bluetooth in my car and then switched to Media, it automatically started playing Google Play Music. Now with the S6, doing the same thing plays local "music" (ringtones) via the built in Samsung Music app. I can't find a way to change the default, and I can't disable the Music app. it's possible to make another music app the default, and if so how?
I have a problem to use my own music for ring tone, If I go to Settings/Sounds and notifications/Ringtones and sounds/Ringtone/add ringtone. It gives me only oneDrive, but want to use music on my phone....

Just got a Galaxy S5 and as I called my own cell as a test, I heard a message that stated something along the lines of, "please enjoy this music while your party is contacted". So instead of hearing a phone ring, someone calling my phone gets a blast of crappy music. How to get rid of/turn this off? It's pretty obnoxious.
I'm new to using a Samsung Galaxy s5 and Adroid altogether. I recently added an SD card to my device and have no issues adding files to it but I'm wondering, is there a way to make my music into playlists? Or is that something you can only do if my music is on my device?
I downloaded a ringtone maker and i made a few ringtones but i cant figure out how to set it as my ringtone im not that good with itunes either someone said i needed to change the format of the ringtone
I bought a Samsung Galaxy 6. The sales person said he transferred all files from my Galaxy 3 to my new Galaxy 6 but my music files are missing. Also, he told me I could "find" my apps from the Galaxy 3 in Google Play under "my apps" but I have found no such thing. I suppose I could connect both phones to my computer and transfer the music that way and download all the former apps again. Is there a better, easier way?
Is there an easy,non-complicated way to transfer music from my laptop (Toshiba...) to my SGS2 ? Replies gratefully recieved by this 'mature' person who is almost totally computer/SGS2 illiterate.
I am an avid musician who listens to music throughout a large portion of my day. My old SD card (32GB) wasn't large enough to hold all of my music on it so I recently went out and bought a larger SD card. I currently have over 2000 songs favorited on my music player and would like to avoid spending over an hour to favorite each one again. Is there any way I can put all of my music on my new SD card and still keep all 2000+ favorites when the new SD is put in my phone?
Trying to add music to s6 by drag and drop and when i try a drop it into music folder get the no entry system so will not let me add music from itunes.
When trying to import pictures and videos from the S5 to Windows 8 desktop, I connect the USB and then right click "import pictures and videos" button.
However, Windows goes through all of my music first (which takes a while) before it finds my pictures and videos in order to download.
Any way to tell windows to skip searching through music files during this search? Just go straight to music or videos.
I'm trying to silence just the ringtone but when ever I do that on the sound menu it silences all other noises such as notifications and system sounds. Is there any way I can just make it to silence the ringtone but leave all the other sounds? Besides just using a silent ringtone?
I recently purchased a Nokia Lumia 800 but i cannot seem to figure out how to choose my own music which i have transfered from CDs to my phone as a ringtone, the only options i can see are the windows phone and nokia ones.
A number of years ago I loaded a piece of music onto my wife's Nokia 6303 and set it as the ringtone. We seem to have recently lost it as a ringtone, although it's still there in Media Player. Unfortunately, for the life of me I can't remember how I made it a ringtone.
