Jul 30, 2015I bought a Samsung Galaxy 6. The sales person said he transferred all files from my Galaxy 3 to my new Galaxy 6 but my music files are missing. Also, he told me I could "find" my apps from the Galaxy 3 in Google Play under "my apps" but I have found no such thing. I suppose I could connect both phones to my computer and transfer the music that way and download all the former apps again. Is there a better, easier way?

May 22, 2015Having bought and downloaded several albums via the Google Play app I thought they would appear in my music folder but sadly they didnt and I can only access them via the app. Is there a way of transferring them to my music folder so I can in turn use them as a ringtone? If not is there anywhere I can download music from that saves it in the music folder? I asked a guy in Carphone Warehouse and he showed me a site that turned out to be an illegal download site which I would rather not use.

Dec 30, 2015I am an avid musician who listens to music throughout a large portion of my day. My old SD card (32GB) wasn't large enough to hold all of my music on it so I recently went out and bought a larger SD card. I currently have over 2000 songs favorited on my music player and would like to avoid spending over an hour to favorite each one again. Is there any way I can put all of my music on my new SD card and still keep all 2000+ favorites when the new SD is put in my phone?

Feb 25, 2015When trying to import pictures and videos from the S5 to Windows 8 desktop, I connect the USB and then right click "import pictures and videos" button.
However, Windows goes through all of my music first (which takes a while) before it finds my pictures and videos in order to download.
Any way to tell windows to skip searching through music files during this search? Just go straight to music or videos.

Jan 16, 2011I recently got a Kingston 16GB Class 4 microSD (from a reputable source - not ebay - and yes it is a genuine 16GB microSD) for my N8 and want to transfer my music to it, to free up space for photos and video on the phone itself. What I thought should be a simple process, thanks to Nokia, has turned out to be a non-trivial exercise.I naively copied my MUSIC folder to the microSD (F), and then deleted the MUSIC folder on the E drive, and refreshed the library. It went through the process of seemingly refreshing for ages, number of tracks clocking up, but then told me the music library was corrupt and showed nothing.After playing for a while, I decided to reverse the process, put my music back on E and deleted the MUSIC folder from the F drive. Refreshed library and I was back to square one (thankfully), and everything worked as before, but, of course, I still hadn't got my music across to the microSD.
Then I searched these forums and found loads of people had had the same problem.It seems that, (as is often the case) the refresh of the library has bugs, and keeps old files somewhere on the device that should be deleted by the refresh process for it to work properly, but hang around causing problems (thanks Nokia - your software guys strike again)Despite trying to find these 'private' folders, they do not appear to be anywhere on any drive on my N8 (and, yes, I did have show hidden files set)
So, simple question is, how can I successfully transfer my music to the microSD so that it just works? Do i have to delete all 1400 tracks and reload them onto the F drive, and if I do this, will it sort the library problem. Ideally I would appreciate a tried and tested method from someone who has actually DONE it, as I don't want to screw my N8.
IPhone :: Transfer Music From It To A Computer With A Different Music Library?
Mar 22, 2012My brothers computer broke. It was a PC. But he had his iPhone synced with it. So now he wants to get the music he lost in that computer to download to his new computer. But the music he purchased is on his iPhone, and the computer wont let him transfer the music from his iPhone, to his new computer. It tells him this music was synced with a different library and won't let him transfer the music.
Does anyone know a work around for this. I know he is using a PC, but I figure, and Apple user, who brakes his Laptop(I'm not talking about crashing, I am talking about actually braking, it was smashed basically), would run into the same problem, your iPhone has Music that was synced with another Library, and it wont let you move the music to the new library. Even though this music was all purchased with the same Apple ID, that doesn't seem to matter. Now, I know that one of the new features of iTunes lets you re-download music you purchased and may have lost, without having to purchase it again. But none of the music from that broken laptop appears in that list of re-downloadable music. All was purchased from iTunes.

Aug 10, 2012I originally bought some music tracks via Nokia Music on my 5530. I did this on the phone and not via my P.C etc. I now have bought a Lumia 710 and signed in to Nokia music on it. I assumed it would recognise any music I had bought and ask me if I want to transfer it? But of course, it doesn't seem to. I have a backup of my 5530 in the Ovi suite, but the Lumia uses Zune. I am confused now as to the easiest way to get the music off my 5530 and on to the Lumia.

However, if I try to transfer my songs from the PC to my mobile if comes up with the following error message: "This music can't be transferred because one or both of the devices involved is not an Ovi Music Unlimited device. You can only transfer music between your registered PC and mobile."
Obviously both are Ovi Music Unlimited devices and all was working fine before the Ovi player upgrade.

Jan 7, 2012I tried transferring a few different folders with music in them to my N700 but no matter how I do it , they don't end up in the "MUSIC PLAYER" folder . In the end , I use the "old Nokia suite" to drag & drop & it did end up in the right folder but not with its own folder , they end up as 1 folder with all the music in it.
