How do I create a long exposure in Pro Mode? I cannot seem to get this down. If I hold the screen I get the AF/AE lock but how do I actually take a 10 second (or whatever) long exposure pic?
View 4 RepliesOn my iPhone the default camera app uses the touch to focus feature to also set the exposure. It seems not to be the case on the Galaxy and the only way to change the exposure is to point the camera elsewhere (I tried the 3 different exposure settings also). Is there any kind of 'touch to set the exposure' feature in the default or 3rd party app?

As the title suggests, this started happening from the moment i started using the "Email" feature in my phone. Even though I have successfully removed it (I don't have a fixed data plan), while writing SMS's the "To" field switches to "abc" mode, as opposed by the normal "123" mode. And no matter how much I press the arrow button to change it, the moment I close messages and open it again, it reverts back to "abc" mode.

1) Cannot seem to update/install Apps - It just sits there acting like it is updating, the status bar scrolls, but nothing gets updated (or installed). As an example, I tried updating Facebook through the Google Play Store - My Apps option, sat for 10 minutes, and it never updated (but it still says I need an update). This is true for a large number of Apps that I have. I tried to install Helium so I could back up before a factory reset, and the same thing happened. It never installed.
2) Network vs. Wifi - At home, I use my Wifi connection, and I noticed that both the Wifi signal indicator and the Network Signal indicator display. I know this did not occur on the S4 (with Android. 4.4.4). Is this normal behavior for Lollipop to display both Wifi and Network connectivity?
3) Can't find a microphone for Speech-to-Text messaging on either the LG or Google keyboards. I saw one article that shows it is in the predictive text field area, but it isn't appearing on mine. - Actually - I just resolved this - it is hidden under the settings icon on the LG keyboard. I had to long press the icon for it to display.
4) No Silent Mode from the Long Press of the Power Button.
Battery dont last long even after activating stamina mode.why.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI bought the Z2 for it's video camera capabilities I'm very surprised to find that there is no AE or AF lock on the Z2 for video. In video mode the camera is almost un-usable because the AF and the AE hunts around like crazy even in decent light. see [URL] .... Local Sony tech said that this maybe a faulty software design. I'm hoping the updated software supplied with the Xperia Z4 makes it's way to the Z2.

I noticed that the camera takes far less time to 'add finishing touches' now, but I no longer have the ability to edit the exposure/light after I take the photo. That button never appears when I am looking at the photo afterwards? Rich capture is enabled.
I have now paid a premium price for the Xperia Z5 Premium, only to discover that this "Premium" phone does not allow manual exposure settings. Not even after upgrading to the new hyped up camera app V2.
Given the arrogance you (Sony Mobile) are showing towards your customers I am gonna assume you are still not going to listen to your users, and you are not going to reply to this thread, you may even delete it to avoid unnecessary attention to the subject.
After the V2 upgrade taking so long, and still no manual exposure, I find it highly unlikely we will ever get manual exposure settings on the Sony Xperia series. I will sell my Xperia Z5 premium and get myself an LG G4.
I find the camera takes darker pictures, especially in low light, compared to Note 5 (underexposed perhaps? Not a photography buff at all . Also, the snapping pictures in general seems to be slower vs. Note 5.
I currently have both 6p and Note 5 and truly find the Note 5 to have an all-around better camera. 6p but bad by any means, but tough comparing to Note 5.
This has only happened twice since I've had the Razr but sometimes when I power on the phone the brightness is super bright and the colors are way off - like it is over exposed. Turning off the screen and on again resolves the issue.

I want to get this back to original stock firmware based on the G920i. The only problem is that I cannot get into Download Mode to be able to use Odin. View 7 Replies View RelatedOne phone will have a hard wire mic attached to it for the minister to wear and the other phone will be hard wired to the mic input jack of my video camera some 20-30 feet away.
Using a regular phone call would add some delay, but may not be noticeable from 20-30 feet away. Can these phones communicate in any other way that would eliminate the delay? Also, I think I can easily connect the earphone/mic jack to the mic input of the camera.
I don't want the side standby button to lock my device EVERY time I press it, and sometimes I can't wait 5/10/15 minutes for the device to lock itself.

View 24 Replies View RelatedI got my S2 a few days back, and am quite impressed with the scrolling background wallpaper. However, I don't understand how to make a wallpaper scrollable. I installed this app called Zedge that lets you download free wallpapers etc. When I choose the image to use as wallpaper, I'm taken to a screen with the following:
- A thumbnail of the image with a resizable orange rectangle.
- 2 icons below that - one with 3 panes that looks like it's meant to select a scrolling wallpaper and the second one showing a single pane.
I choose the one on the left that appears to be for scrolling, then I suppose I have to select the area of the image I want. I want the entire image to be used as a wallpaper, so I select the whole thing. (I've also tried selecting only a sub section). I click save. It generates and sets the wallpaper and...it does not scroll. (I have all 7 home screens enabled).
I go back, choose the icon on the right, select a small area of the image and that gets set as a wallpaper. This also does not scroll. I don't want to go install a 3rd party app just to do this. I have tried with Zedge, as well as locally stored pictures from my Picasa albums. Also, how does one change the 3 default pictures in the 'wallpaper gallery'? I can't find them on the SD card.
When the phone is kept idle the charging time says 45 min but when i start using it da charging time goes upto 1 hour 30 minutes??? Do i need to change my battery. I am using s6 edge ....

I know there is a thread on this for the Note S4 but the way to turn it off on that device (the enhanced lte trick) is not available/ a feature on the Galaxy S5. The tone is so horrible sounding and hurts my ears.
-Yes have check minute minder- it is off
-The sound occurs on speaker, while using headphones, or just holding the phone to my ear.
-There does not seem to be a pattern for time or frequency of the tone.
-The one thing i have noticed is that it always occurs when I talk to people who have iPhones, but there does not seem to be a consistency with droids.

However just today, a long text message was sent and I got 8 messages/8 notifications. And each message definitely had only 60 or 70 characters. Was this because it was so long that it was spit up into 8, but then why were they not split up into 160 characters?
