BB Bold 9700 :: Turn Off Sound Get Facebook Comment?
May 9, 2010Blackberry Bold and have totally enjoyed every minute of using it EXCEPT every time I get a comment on Facebook, I get a notification sound. This can be really annoying in the middle of the night! How do I turn off the sound for this? I am not getting a good nights sleep unless I turn off the phone - which is not an option.

Jul 13, 2010I've got a 3GS JB and just now the facebook app started crashing every time I try to start it. Have tried rebooting the phone and deleting/reinstalling the app to no avail. Does anyone know if there is a way to fix the issue without a full restore? Is there some temp files or anything else I could look at removing via ssh to fix the issue?

May 1, 2012it crashes every single time when I use the desktop version of Facebook using Safari browser. I've tried restart the phone, and reset the phone and still have the same problem. Anyone else experience this annoying situation? I use Facebook to advertise my business and communicate with clients. As you may or may not be aware of, some of the functions are only accessible via the desktop version.

When I get a call from clients and I'm away from my phone and don't answer it, it automatically sends back a couple of the pre-created text messages. I've had a couple people asking me if I'm on vacation because they've received the responses "I'm in a movie theater" and "I'm driving" both at the same time on several occassions. However, when I use the quick Reply All in conversation view rather going directly into a message and replying from there, it adds the default Verizon signature.

Apr 5, 2015So when using Dolphin browser on my S6, and visiting some sites [replicable for me loading up imgur.com ] the browser freezes up midway through loading it, and the page becomes unresponsive. A few seconds later the screen goes black, and brings me back to the home screen of the phone. After this, my wallpaper would be reverted to default, and while plugged into my computer I would lose access to the sd card. After crash like that from Dolphin on s6? I've since uninstalled it and have been using chrome for now.

Nov 24, 2015With Do Not Disturb turned on, all of my notifications are kept quiet, screen doesn't turn on, no vibration - except one app. Facebook still comes through. I keep my S6 on vibrate at night, so it's not that big of a deal (other than draining battery). But the blue flashing LED is annoying and lights up the whole room. Is there anyway to set Facebook quiet hours or something similar? Or set it so it will play nice with Do Not Disturb? I also think the Google Photo assistant does the same. I don't really care if Google has put together a slide show of my vacation in the middle of the night.

I went to the facebook app that was already on the phone and followed the steps to download the app. The phone goes through all the motions to download the app, it even shows it downloading. Once it reaches 43mb a notification pops up saying could not Install. It then give me the choice to try later or retry now. I have read other forum Posts saying to clear cache and restarting the phone. But still no luck. What could be wrong? I have Ino talked other apps today with no problem.
