I upgraded OTA to Lollipop last night. (Sprint S5). No matter what I do, after a few minutes, the phone asks me what launcher to use. I've gone into the settings umpteen times, gone to Home, chose the launcher, clicked the Home key, and it sticks... for a few minutes.I'm THISCLOSE to reverting back to KitKat.
View 3 RepliesMy s6 keeps periodically prompting me to choose a default launcher. Phone worked fine yesterday and now today all of a sudden it can't remember what launcher I set as a preference. Periodically when I press the home button I am asked to choose between the normal touchwhiz launcher and the touchwhiz easy launcher. It is pretty annoying. I have no 3rd party launchersupplies installed I just don't understand.

It seems to be installed properly and I see the shortcut for it. If I go into settings and try to set it for the default launcher it's nowhere to be found. I see TouchWiz, action launcher, and Nova but no Google Now.

I downloaded nova launcher from the play store and I didn't like it i can use the default launcher but it wont let me delete the nova launcher app...

View 5 Replies View RelatedI've recently started using the Google now launcher and for some reason whenever I unlock my phone a random app will open on its own. It's always an app that's on the screen. For example if I have a screen with only Google play and camera icons on it, when I unlock the screen via fingerprint, one of those 2 apps will open up. It doesn't open the icons in my dock, just the ones in the screen. I have already cleared app cache and system cache (recovery mode).

Am very happy with the screens and icons, etc. but ever since I did that I can't use google maps gps. What I try to put in an address to ask for directions it says "turn by turn navigation is only available in these location modes: high accuracy (or) device only" Then you have the option of hitting ignore, which means you still don't get directions, or settings, which takes you to the location section of settings. Location is set to on, but I can't see any place where "high accuracy" is an option and don't remember this ever being an issue with my S3 - which is why I think this is related to the Nova Launcher?how to fix it. I'll uninstall the launcher if I have to but wondering if there is an alternative.

However, 1 day last week I got the force close box come up for TW launcher as I took the phone off charge first thing in the morning. That day my battery was at 52% at the end of the day! I left phone turned on and charged as normal, next day the same, around 50% at end of day (same useage as always, same environment etc). So, next day I turned phone off / on and at end of day battery was around 30% again. To confirm my suspicions I force closed TW launcher and the next day back upto 50% remaining again...
View 6 Replies View RelatedI started to transfer my pictures from my phone to my computer and realized that all of them didn't transfer, even though they show up in Gallery and Photos. When I started looking at the folder structure on my phone while I had it connected to my computer, I found pictures in other folders. How many different folders are used to store pictures and is there a way I can get them to save to the same place so I can transfer them more easily. The ones that seem to be in different folders are the ones I've saved from texts and emails. They're in 2 different folders. I'm worried that I'm going to miss others because I don't know where they are.

I swiped to unlock and then another icon appeared on the launcher home screen...
I already had one shortcut to iobd2 there but another appeared as I unlocked. It's got a larger icon!?
If I long press and look at app info, its the same app info.
If I go to the app drawer and add the app again, it adds it as a small icon, like the original one.

I installed the Goggle Now launcher and have lost my weather-clock widget. Attempted to install again and nothing appears just blank screen. Also used to have counters on text, missed calls, facebook notifications, etc now nothing. How do I get back to the launcher that came with the phone.
