My S5 used to show info when I waved my hand over the black screen, now nothing. I have tried looking for the air wake button, but it is not where I have read it should be. I do I turn this back on????
View 1 RepliesI have a GS6 stock for AT&T. Every time I get a notification, my screen lights up. When I had my HTC m9, the screen never woke up besides for calls. It's really annoying having the screen light up for any and all notifications.
View 20 Replies View RelatedI've found several times that my phone would wake in the middle of the night, which is rather annoying. I turned off notifications for any app that seemed to wake the phone, and I usually put the phone in "Do Not Disturb" mode at night. Now, the only thing that wakes it is when the battery becomes fully charged. How to stop the phone from doing this? I use the phone as my clock/alarm, so I don't want to turn the phone off. Since many people probably charge their phones next to their beds at night, this seems like a particularly dumb feature.

View 24 Replies View RelatedTry this... Hold your phone sideways as if it's in your jacket pocket. Then cover to top sensors of the phone.... The power button wont turn the phone on. That explains why you can't push power in my pocket as I bring it out......

My iphone 5 was fully charged when it suddenly turned off.
I googled the problem and found many responses that suggested to reset the phone by holding onto the sleep/wake button and the home button for 15 seconds ...
however as my sleep/wake button is broken I can't reset it that way ...
I also tried plugging it into the charger which didnt work ...
So my phone s5 was updated to lollipop, I was just finished downloading 2 songs then i saw the screen turns yellowish. I thought it was nothing so i turn off my power after I tried to open up again it didn't. When I pressed the power key it shows a broken half white thing so fast and it disappear till now my phone won't open. I tried charge it but useless..
View 1 Replies View RelatedI bought my S6 about 3 weeks ago. I was using it normally, but then I left it and when I came back it wouldn't turn on unless I pressed the volume down key too. After that it kept turning off after 15-30 minutes I turned it on, everytime, and then it simply wouldn't turn on whatever i did, even if a pressed all 4 buttons for 10 seconds. Then I simply pressed the power button and it turned on. It behaved normally for that whole day.
I went to sleep with 45% battery and it died. Again it wouldn't turn on unmattering what i did, and after like 5 hours i pressed the volume down and power again and it turned on (after many tries), wtih 27% battery - and it was always off, but after like 2 minutes it died again, and only turned on, after many tries, when I presed vlm dwn, power and home together, giving me the restart screen with 7% charge. (not that dos/cmd-like, with hard reset and all, only a custom os and restart). it worked normally (draining battery fast), and then shut down again, even if i was charging it, though the whatsapp green led is flashing, so i think it's not completely off.
my phone other than recently the battery life has been pretty bad all of a sudden (I think it's my charger) , anyways I was outside taking a picture on my phone and as soon as it took the picture the screen went black and it was completely unresponsive, tried turning it on, reset, nothing worked. I took the battery out and back in and It turned on, BUT then my time and date was completely wrong and for some reason since the time and date was wrong it made my internet not work.
View 2 Replies View RelatedRecently updated my iPhone 4 to ios 7.1.2. Currently my worst problem: instead of going into sleep mode, the phone turns off completely. I then cannot turn the phone back on with the sleep/wake button. To turn the phone back on, I need to do a hard reboot each time by holding down the home and sleep/wake buttons simultaneously. I have tried going into settings/general/reset and selecting "reset all".

Starting yesterday, my GS6 wont "wake up". This has happened twice now. I have only had the phone a week and haven't done anything to it, root, etc. The only way I can get it back is to press Power, Home Key and Volume Down at the same time to reset the device...not factory reset, but reset as in Power Down and restart.
View 4 Replies View Related I got my GS5 last week, and I'm loving it, but it have one issue that bugging me. This issue don't happen often (only 3 times since I've got it), when I put my phone to sleep, and wake it back on, the two soft buttons on the bottom of the screen (back and multi-tasking button) lit up, but the screen does not, I have to force to take out the battery and put it back in, turn the phone back on then it would work.
I did called the store i got it from, but they don't have any more s5 in stock , and Samsung won't replace mine (what kind of customer service is this?), the store I got it from said they have to see the issue with their own eyes to be able to exchange me a new one, IF there will be any new S5 coming in for the next week or so.
my screen won't lit up upon waking the phone but the 2 buttons on the bottom of the screen lit up normally.
I will have my S5 freeze up and go black after trying to wake it up. My interface and messaging also feels very laggy at times where I pretty much have to wait for it to respond. I had the S view case on when it was freezing so I've removed that but it didn't work. Do you think i should just return this back to AT&T to try and get this replaced?

There is no information about what and why. I disabled all motion features, deleted shealth. Turned off Location services.
The same happened to another S6 from a friend, and a S6 edge. All 3 devices have ssp wake lock problem.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI can't get S Voice to work with wake up command. I have tried several different wake up commands and non is working.
It neither working when the phone is unlocked or S Voice is open. I can tap the mic tho and I can say anything.
I use a wireless charging dock in my car along with connecting my phone via bluetooth to the entertainment system. I've encountered an annoying issue when playing media.. here's the simplest way I can put my scenario:
1. Place phone on wireless charger and starting playing music
2. Phone becomes 100% charged and emits a screen wake + notification noise telling me so
3. Wireless charging stops because the phone is fully charged
4. With music playing, the battery drains to less than 100%, which engages the wireless charging
5. Repeat from step 2
This loop happens over and over endlessly. The charged notification makes an audible noise like every 3-4 minutes which is super annoying while I'm listening to music.
Is there a way for me to disable the audible noise that occurs when I place my phone on a charger or when the phone becomes fully charged? Is there a way to keep the wireless charging "active" so my charge doesn't dip while on the dock?
Does the nexus 5 have the double tap to wake and ambient display options?
