I have a Galaxy S5 with the latest OS. I believe there is an issue with the OS or the phone.
1. Pictures that I downloaded from text attachment or sent via whatsapp
2. I deleted them
3. After rebooting the phone, all pictures appears again.
I accidentally deleted some pictures from my phone. I downloaded a software1 (not permitted to disclose the software) to recover my deleted pictures. However I could not recover them as this software was not free. I then downloaded blackberry desktop software and backed up everything. When I downloaded ZAR 9.1 it showed my memory card as being emptied. I then tried the software1 and it showed my memory card being emptied as well. I would like to learn how I can recover these pictures.

My wife's V3m went on the blink but I had used bitpm to backup contacts and pictures some time before this happened. I have ported her phone number from her V3m to my old V3m that we had received at the same time from Verizon and I had moved on to a different phone. When I tried to restore the pictures I can see the names of the pictures in my pictures on her phone but they will not display.I have tried saving them onto the sd card under my pictures as well as putting some of them under wallpaper to see if they would open there. The naming convention was the default one used on the razr with 12characters.jpg. I am not sure what copying them back and forth to a XP pc may have done to them so that they will not display.

View 7 Replies View RelatedToday, I decided to upgrade my iphone's ISO to 7.1.1, and I decided to upgrade it using itunes, which I hardly use. When I plugged the iphone in, the first thing itunes asked was "back up". I thought itunes was asking to back up my pictures, so I clicked yes. It turned out that itunes asked to restore my phone with a back up I made a year ago. all my pictures were replaced with pictures from back up... Unfortunately, I did not turn on cloud service to back up pictures. Is there any way to restore pictures I lost?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have deleted 4 pictures in the gallery app from the sdcard/pictures directory. I exited the gallery and returned some time later and ther is now a seperate album showing 4 pictures with no thumbnail and the won't open. These blank pics have the same file names as the ones deleted and are stored in the same directory. Getting info on these pics shows the original file size and name, but with a resolution of 0x0 and they can't be opened. Exploring the sdcard/pictures directory with file explorer does not show the 4 files in question.
Update- I shut down my Xoom and restarted. Launched the Gallery app. The blank picture album appeared momentarily and then disappeared.
This morning my while checking my email on my phone, the screen went black for 5 minutes, and eventually the apple logo appeared and when blank again, i then turned on my phone and it said i had to connect it to iTunes, which i did. When it was recognized on iTunes it said this:Name:iPhoneCapacity: n/aSoftware Version: n/aSerial Number: n/a
and said it had to be restored, which i agreed to and first it recovered, and then it asked if i wanted to restore it as an iPhone found on this computer, (mine) and i said yes. After it recovered i saw that i lost all of my text messages up until April 6th, and i lost well over 200 pictures. Is there anything i can do to restore my messages and photos, or do i take it up with my wireless provider?

I have a 9700 have had it about 7 months with any problems UNTIL about 3 days ago. I noticed my Blackberry Messenger, Yahoo EMAIL, and Facebook applications are no longer connecting. My Blackberry browser is still working. I used to have FireFox and EI as options and since I updated my phone, they have since been erased.
Ive Updated, Ive swiped, Ive returned everything to factory settings. Ive deleted and reloaded all the apps along with replacing my sim card.
i copied pics from ALL to ALBUM's new folder and then deleted the same pics in ALL folder but automatically all the pics in new folder got deleted.
normally in all nokia phones this method works without any prob.
I recently updated my xperia z2 phone from 4.4.2 KK to 5.0.2 (23.1.A.1.28) first did the installation without wiping the data but after that i made factory reset both from phone and from Recovery deleting all user data . Before that (i don`t know if that is with the problem) i installed Signature verification always true patch from Lucky Patcher and after that removed it . Everything is perfect with the phone except the strange issue that happens when i restart or turn off and then turn it on again.
When i do it- first this happens -(the attached image) - it shows all the apps that i moved to the sd card like that with red circle with sd card symbol in the upper right corner and no app icons and after couple of seconds it loads them somethimes, all of them - but somethimes it shows only those which are on internal memory and after a restart it loads them all without a problem but it deletes all the data on the sd card except the app data ( of those which i moved to the sd card with the lolipop function and with Folder Mount).
All the pictures, movies, music, e-books and more are deleted but the app data is not ... and the phone is doing that sometimes not all the time. When the Pictures, music and so on are deleted i`m putting them back on the sd card again and couple of restarts there is no problem loading the apps or deleting the data on the sd card ... but after that it happens again and deletes my information ... but only pictures books music movies .. . I`m using TDK 32 GB micro sd Fat 32 formatted - i tried ntfs but the z2 doesn't recognizes it .. the sd card is tested with H2Testw and its ok and i didn't had any problems, when i was using 4.4.2 KitKat .
Tried the camera mod in themes and apps but it did not work even though I'm running the same PDA and everything.Might be because I'm on a stock odexed ROM.Anyway.. I've deleted my folder /system/app/SamsungCamera4/arm64 while installing the mod and the camera now keeps force closing after I restored the original files (except the files in the arm64 folder).

The only thing that I see is the Memo app. The Restore has recovered most of my data. What's missing is all the memos that contain a ton of important info. What do I need to do to recover the data?
