Galaxy S5 :: Can Delete Specific Photos In Picasa On Phone
Nov 19, 2015
I HATE Picasa, but don't want to delete ALL the photos, because that is the only place on my phone that they're stored. Is it possible to select specific pictures in Picasa, and delete them? (Where's the dang "delete" garbage can icon, like with regular photos????
Any means of deleting photos from picasa? I have tried a few different things and I can not seem to have any luck. I have deleted the photos from my account on the laptop, disabled syncing, etc. The work around used for prior galaxy devices does not seem to be possible.
How can I remove photos backed up by google picasa from appearing in the gallery? I just turned off the sync feature and then rebooted the phone but they are still there?
The album just randomly appeared with pictures from Hangouts on it. I have searched the net and done everything I have seen and the album won't go away. I deleted the hangout messages, un-synced my email, followed the instructions for going through the app manager and nothing. The photos don't show up in my G+ photos or anywhere else in in my account. The only place I can see them is on my phone and it's really getting on my nerves. I had a bunch of angry drawings (childish!) sent to me with rude things in them and they are stuck in my phone.
I just shifted from iPhone to galaxy5, i transferred all the data via smart-switch. And I also tried Dropbox in new galaxy s5, all the photos are doubled. one is original and other one's are duplicate (few Kb's). I had around 900 photos from iPhone to new galaxy s5, but in Dropbox- total photos are around 1700. Is there anyway I can delete duplicate one's easily.
secondly, drop-box setting is "sync via WI-fi". even if i don't click any new picture or video, its still backing up every-time. at one point it says" up to date" after few hours it syncing again.
I need to resize individual pictures for uploading to a specific Web based program. With my gs5 I could do it in the photo editor. However I don't see the option under editor with my gs6.
I can only delete one pic at a time. How do I delete multiple photos. Someone says tap on the trash button. Do I go to my pic and do that. I try that still doesnt work. There is no checked box for me to select more than iphoto.
My previous phone Samsung Galaxy S3 showed all of my Picasa albums in the stock Gallery app after syncing at Accounts - Google - Picasa Web Albums, and all photos were available offline. A feature that irritates many, I know, but I loved it. Now in LG G3 it's impossible. I can only see them while online in Photos app and browsing through 50+ albums is very slow. In Google acc settings I don't see Picasa Web Albums, there is only Google+ Photos and that is synced. I assume that downloads thumbnails to a gallery. Is there any possibility to download albums and photos to the phone to be available while offline? I've tried several apps but non of them do the job. Apps tried so far:

I have a Samsung Galaxy s5, and recently updated to Lollipop. Had all the major problems reported, so I did a system restore which fixed a few of them. My most pressing concern, however, is that I can no longer connect to my work WIFI. I had no problems connecting prior to the update. The WIFI is set up where you connect, and then a webpage should open up for you to login to the system. My browser opens, but will not load a page. The progress bar gets stuck on one spot.
I want to delete all the auto-backed-up photos on my S5 and leave only the photos on device. Followed directions on google support page but I can't find a way to delete all by checking the first one and scrolling through to the last one - no shift key like using a computer to delete all. Turned off auto back-up and unchecked sync, but still can't do a mass delete.
Gallery was populated with pictures from facebook, picasa and who knows where else. I am not able to delete any of those pictures. I've gone to Settings>accounts>Google and Settings>accounts>facebook and unchecked everything related to sync. I have gone to app manager, but Gallery is not on the list, so how do I erase the cache? There are zillions of photos that I do not need on the phone and many of them appear in duplicate, triplicate.
I would like to know how to delete old photos from my phone I know how to download onto my PC, but I want to delete all my old photos first, as I now have loads on my phone and I don't want to be downloading all of the photos each tiem I upload them onto my PC.
I have ignored this ever since I got the phone April 11, but it is getting to be a PITA.Picasa insists that I log into it, and I refuse to use any web based file hosting services. Especially if it has anything to do with Google.I have gone into Google+ and turned off just about everything, but Picasa is still there on my notifications screen wanting me to sign in.
I have Photos version 1.1.0.96252895 on my Nexus 5. I have less than 1% free space, because it has decided to copy over all the photos in my Google+ account (50,000+). I don't want my phone to have copies of the photos on my Google+ account - just the photos that I have taken with the phone.
I have a problem with sms with one person in particular. I think it's because I have too many sms. So when I open the discussion, it takes a long time to open and sometimes it blocks. Idem when I want to write a sms. So my question is : how to delete specific sms without deleting the entire discussion or deleting the sms one by one ? And an other question : is it possible to store the sms on the sd card ?
I have a Picasa album on my Galaxy S5, but I'm unable to see them on my phone. Does the Picasa album mimics the photos backup in Google? If so, why can't I view them on my phone?
I have many photos in Picasa, sorted into many folders. On the S5, it displays all the picasa pics as one folder. On my S3 it displayed the folders individually. How to display the pics in folders?
I was having issues with S-Voice and contacts. To fix the problem I backed up all my contacts to GMAIL. I then deleted my GMAIL account from my Galaxy s5. I then added it back as a new account, and synced the account as a brand new install. Everything worked fine and it restored my contacts and synced everything else in the account except Picasa. Now I am getting the Sync Error message for the syncing for the Picasa Web album. This never happened before.
I connected my phone and was able to import photos from my iMac to my iPhone (4s) but now i want to delete them from my phone but it doesn't give me the option to delete them. it has its own album and says "imported from imac" and i try to delete them but i don't have the option to.
