View 2 RepliesI have a small AVI video file (3.5MB) converted to mobile format (output profile reading "Mobile Phone MPEG-4 Movie..mp4") using Any Video Converter. With a view to copying the file to my E71 phone, I connected the phone to PC (Dell Studio 1558 system running W7 HP) via the USB (using the PC Siute mode in the first attempt and then the Mass Storage mode in my next attempt). I then proceeded to open the video file's shortcut menu and, in the Send To destinations, hit my phone's link that was being displayed as the E71 icon. But PC Suite reported inability to "copy the file". In the case of Mass Storage option too, the result was similar. Strangely, in several instances of my effort PC Suite was even found reporting that the "device has stopped responding or disconnected from PC" even though Suite's Home Page was showing my phone's icon as being in sync. s shortcut menu and, in the Send To destinations, hit my phone
View 3 Replies View RelatedI bought E7 about a month ago. Previosuly had N95 and LOVED IT but I needed to update. I am having problems with my contacts. All my contacts are saved by sim card. I thoght sim was problem but No. Even with replacement sim, I still get errors as described on subject line above. I am thinking about contacting Nokia and get a replacement. I want to add pictures and ring tones to my various contacts but it is not possible with these errors that I am receiving. I try to add a new contact and phone does not allow it by, once again, providing an error as mentioned above. Some times, phone says that memory is full but yet the phone indicates that there are 150 contact slots still available to be used.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an E71, about 18mths old, and this afternoon the ''unlock'' button decided to not work so I can't access anything on my phone! I locked it as per normal, using the ''unlock'' and "function" buttons but when I went to unlock using the same buttons it didn't work. It's not coming up with the "now press function" message when I press unlock, so I'm presuming there's a problem with the button. Really hope someone has a solution that doesn't involve me having to send my phone off

View 3 Replies View RelatedI took my Nokia E5-00 to unlock it.The display showed the normal screen you see, when the phone is locked.However there was a big black square right in the middle of the screen AND the phone wasn't reacting to inputs.It did not look like a failure of the display itself.Therefore I believed it might be a problem with the OS.Trying to solve it I removed the battery and installed it again a few minutes later.Since then I was not able to switch the phone on any more. It is just doing nothing. Pressing the on/off - button, loading the battery, connecting it to a pc, checking the SIM and SD-card do not make the phone show ANY live sign.Even my PC (Windows 7, connected via USB 2.0 ) does not react to the E5-00 any more.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI can't send MMS from my E71 in Russia (the mobile provider is Megafon) to Switzerland. I've already checked MMS settings and they are ok, because I can send mms within Russia. But it doesn't work when I try to send mms to swiss mobile number.
What can be the possible problem if it's not the mms settings and there is an agreement between mobile providers in these countries to send mms messages?
I just got me a new E5 about a week ago. Despite reading a lot on this forum, I still have two major issues setting up this device; so I need some help. Problem number one is that I cannot set up my email. I have "aol" email that falls under "other" in the email set up section. Some of the screens listed in Pool of Knowledge subsection (like choosing POP3 or IMAP) does not even come up in my e5 during email setup screens. What to do to set up aol email account.
Problem number 2 is that I cannot transfer my contacts and other data from old device (Nokia X2-01) to the new e5. I paired them easily using Bluetooth but when it get to the point of transferring the data, I hear a "click" sound in the e5 and "Bluetooth disconnected." error message comes on. I have tried upteenth times but I get the same result. When I tried to transfer contacts one by one, using Bluetooth business card option it works; but I have over 800 contacts and I would like to use the switch route. What to do to solve this problem?. I hope I do not have a faulty device.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have Nokia E7, and recently I noticed that whenever I connect this phone to PC either it doesn't detect by the PC, or it detects and within a minute it again disconnected(that message comes in notification area).Nokia suite givs message E7 connected and whenever I want to something file transfer or sync within a minute or so it automatically get disconnected.I can see that in USB cable mode connection the light blinks and charging is ongoing, but nowhere in my PC I can see the "E7". This is started just two weeks back, I uninstall everythign, again reinstall nokia suite, pc connectivity software again everything. but no result.I just want to access my phone in Nokia suite mode and want to access my files. If I put my phone into "Mass storage or media transfer mode" I have seen charging has stopped and my phone not detected by the PC.
View 4 Replies View RelatedThis is driving me to distraction on my Nokia E72 which I have been very pleased with everything on it, but the GPS receiver is pretty dire in my unit.I have access points correctly configured and tried just about every combination of positioning methods to no avail.Most of the time I end up having to set off in the car and sometimes the GPS gets a lock (having been set on waiting for GPS) and sometimes, it just never catches up and I switch it off. Worse, yesterday I started getting directions having supposedly got a lock, for all the wrong roads and directions as the phone thought it was somewhere else!This has been on good clear days and days where it has been overcast.Nokia Maps is set to online mode.How do other people find the GPS in the E72? My phone is on v81.003, I can't upgrade it to a later version as it says there is none.Mine is a SIM free unlocked phone from new.

Your device's memory card is full. free some memory. Amount of memory required: 648 MB, amount of memory currently available: 817 MB.
I updated my OVI Suite software (to 3.0.0.284) and the software on my E52 (to 052.003). I first tried to upload one map and it reported full memory. Then I tried to update existing maps and got the message above. Then I deleted ALL maps and tried to upload ONE map and again there was not enough memory..
I just installed ovi contacts 1.5 on my nokia E72-1 and am unable to login. Everytime i try i get this message: unable to connect, please try again later. My connection is fine (3.5G) as it works in nokia chat and every other application.My firmware version: 031.023.Type: FM-530
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just recently got the Nokia E-72 and after getting a new memory card just yesterday for it I am no longer able to open the Ovi Store application that was already installed on the phone. I also just installed the Ovi Suite on my computer and when it requests to install the "Support software" my phone just gives me the simple error of "Unable to install" with a red symbol next to the words. I also tried installing the Ovi Store from the web and I get the same Unable to Install error that I get when trying to install the Support Software. I already checked the "application manager" it is allows all applications to be installed. I've also tried reinstalling the software via the Ovi Suite and that doesn't do anything either. I looked up how to hard reset the phone as well, and I hold the correct buttons+the top power button at the same time while the phone is of f but it doesn't seem like it does anything when the phone comes back on. I wouldn't mind getting the phone to go back to square one as I haven't had the phone long enough to miss much besides my contacts which I can just synchronize.
