my nokia e63 is displaying white screen but can not turn on completely,the navigation keys light comes but the rest does not and the phone consistently goes off.

Today my e63 phone died while I was using the internet so I plugged it into my charger, all that happened was the light behind the navigation button lit up and then turned off, usually my phone will just go into the charging screen and I then turn it back on. I tried with multiple chargers and there was no difference.I then tried to turn it on and all that comes up is a white screen. I took out the sim card and memory card but there is no difference apart from the fact that when I turned it on after taking out the memory card the screen was black with white lines then went completely white.

Although its operating system kept restarting itself since the first time I bought, I did not care much about that as the phone was running ok after restarting itself. However, it finally gave a disk error yesterday and stuck in its main desktop screen. Then I turned the device off and when I turned it on again, it is stuck in the initial white screen where a Nokia logo was supposed to appear. Nothing happens then; the white screen persists until the battery is empty.

View 6 Replies View RelatedYesterday was my first day trying to use my new E7 as my primary phone. I am having a major problem where the phone is stuck at the white nokia log boot screen and it keeps restarting.
In the days before, I updated from the original 13.x firmware to 14.002 though the ovi suite. After about an hour of usage yesterday, I opened the on phone ovi store application and it said an update was required before I could use it, so I let it update OTA. After the update, I opened the application and tried to get Angry Birds Free. The download started, then I pressed an in app button to do something else in the mean time and the phone froze up during the screen transition. Restarted with 8 second power cycle. Back into the ovi store to continue the download, this time the phone restarted on its own halfway through the download. Back into the ovi store a 3rd time to continue the download, phone froze up. Restarted with 8 second power cycle. Wouldn't get past the boot screen.
Yesterday I was able to get the phone to connect to my computer and I attempted to reinstall 14.002 firmware 2x, which seemed to work but I was still stuck. I was able to call Nokia Customer Care and the support person tried some of the same things I did. Then without a sim card in the device we connected to my computer, tried to reinstall firmware, it complained about no sim card. I put an old non-working sim in the device and the home screen came up all of a sudden. So it appeared to be fixed.
I'm back to the same issue today, only now my computer won't connect to the phone. I've tried 10 times. Once it connected but only as a storage drive, not to Ovi Suite.
I have Nokia E5 handset white, i would like to change white to black. is it possible?

It loads the Blackberry screen then seems to ask for an autorisation for an app but I can't even see which one since it turns off immediately displaying the SFR (my operator) screen. View 2 Replies View RelatedI've found I have to restore factory settings every few days because my E7 stops displaying "1 new message" at the bottom of the screen and also suddenly doesn't make a tone when the message arrives. Also, the small envelope icon at the top right doesn't appear. The only way I know I have a new message is if the phone is in standby mode and I see the menu light flashing. Otherwise, I have to open messages or conversations to see if there are any new messages. I have to do this every few days when it suddenly stops showing new message arrival. I've found only restoring factory settings works, which is a pain since it erases all my personal settings.

My e5 has strange problem with the light sensor. If the 'Light sensor' slider in the settings is set to the minimum or one position above the minimum and I put the phone under bright light (for example outdoors in sunny days), the display goes completely off. If I cover the light sensor with something or put the phone in lower light, it turns on again. I think it's software problem, but not sure. Does anybody else have similar problem or my e5 has some fault?

The numbers are inputting but do not display, if I type the correct numbers and press send it will call. However, when it starts ringing I get a "Note: Call Forwarding Active. I do not know if these two problems are related. I don't even know what I did to activate call forwarding. Letters and Numbers will display when pressed in other applications so I do not know what did to screw it up because they displayed before when I typed. This phone is a Straight Talk - E71.

View 3 Replies View RelatedDone a few of these now on my E72 so thought it would be plain sailing. Wrong. The process obviously froze, I gave it plenty of time. The screen said if necessary remove battery etc and reconnect USB lead which is what I did.The phone is now dead other than vibrating as you turn it on. I've tried a hard reset by holding shift, space and backspace while powering up but nothing (other than the vibrate).
