I have new E7-00 upgraded to Symbian Belle . I have a problem with Wifi connections that don't support DHCP and I need to enter the IP settings manually. I have searched all the options but couldn't find where this can be done.

Does any one know if the E6-00 will get the Belle update for sure?

(I have 2 of these for the moment)Although it does not had an impact on the functionality, it sure would look much better if the Icons / widgets are getting their colors back as in the Anna version.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI've had a Nokia E7 for about half a year. it worked pretty well until the screen got cracked. It worked fine for a while, then the touch screen stopped responding. I got it fixed and it was working perfectly fine for about 2 weeks. i was using it one day, and it was eprfectly fine. I set the phone aside for a few minutes, then came back to it. I saw the whole screen was showing static, like when your tv has bad reception. i tried turning it off and on again, but it did not clear it up. I tried calling my number, and the phone rang. After about 10 minutes of curses and profanities, it cleared up again. About half an hour later, it became static again. Once again, after about 10 minutes, it cleared up. That night, i plugged the E7 into the charger, and the next morning, it was displaying static once again. i turned it off, intending to go see the shop. When i went, i turned the phone on, and there was no static. When he was checking it over, it went back to static for about 5 seconds, before returning to normal. When i left, i had walked about 50 metres when i reached to my phone to check the time. it was displaying static yet again. This was was about 5 hours ago and it has been displaying static since.

2. If not, will it be possible to upgrade this device from Symbian^3 to Symbian^4 O.S?
That is, I think, the crucial problem in final production because the Symbian^3 is breaking in the everything except in visual part of UI which is a little bit démodé.As I can see on the Symbian page they are rushing to change this with a lot of changes in this part of O.S.it will be very disappointing to me baying such a device and after half a year faced with a new O.S. (specially UI which is most important for users-the name told us this-UI)

After update to Symbian Anna
1) OVI store is not working. I am able to open ovi store and see apps but moment I click on download.. it just hangs there.I have tried installling QT files as mentioned in the forum I download QT files from Nokia which were in .sisx format. I am not able to install them either by directly copying in phone or via Ovi suite.I am getting Error 300.
2) Google Maps is not working. I have installed it multiple times. When I click on Google Maps to open it , a blank window comes and it closes automatically.
When will be some new updates for nokia e6-00 belle ?

View 6 Replies View Relatedmy nokia e71x recently started giving me a very static-y signal when making or receiving calls. my voice apparently sounds fine to whoever i'm talking to but what i hear in the earpiece is full of static, as if the signal is very weak. this is happening no matter where i am (even in places where i know the signal is strong). i'm in new york city. the speaker appears to be ok when doing other things, e.g. watching video clips on Internet. it's just phone calls that sound **bleep**.this just started in the last few days. it's possible the phone was exposed to heat, sand and (maybe) water as we were recently on vacation, but other than the bad sound everything works and looks fine.my contract is about up so i may just replace it anyway, but i'd like to know if this is fixable. i tried removing the battery and sim card, making sure all were clean and dry and putting them back.

I really liked the old battery status so you would know how much battery life is left. It is just a bit weird that a very good thing from the previous version is discontinued on the belle version.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have an E7-00 that was recently replaced under warranty as the usb port had become very iffy and it was almost impossible to charge. The replacement phone has Belle installed, which is the most un-useable piece of software I have seen in a fair while. It is far less useful for business than Anna was, and I need to remove it and step back to Anna, if only because I used to be able to have 4 email inboxes on my front screen as well as the time, profile, date AND notifications area... now this takes three home screens to achieve which is completely useless.
Short of binning the phone and returning to an E90 (beginning to wish I'd never moved away from it) how can I make my E7 useable again?
My Nokia E7 Breathing Light is NOT WORKING after Belle update. I've tried turning on and off the breathing light function under Setting>>Notification Lights however it is still not working. Nokia suite is still not available for Apple users.For luck we are based in Edinburgh where Nokia have Nokia care store - with extremely fast and friendly support, they make the upgrade in few minutes for us free of charge. But the issue is we need to run 20km to the store....would be more easy do it by our self at home - if Nokia is able produce some kind of software make this possible. Im sure they must be many Apple users that use Nokia phones The E7-00 is very great phone with many futures and also durable - work in extremely low temperatures under -20C in Mountains.

View 15 Replies View RelatedI was upgrading my Nokia E7 to symbian Anna and while installing Symbian Anna update 2/2 the phone told me restart to complete installation. But the installion was still running. I actaully restarted the phone while it was updating 2/2. I did so because the phone told me to restart. When restarted I couldn't find the 2/2 in the update list in the SW update. I can only see 1/2 and the other 2 optional items. but 2/2 was not shown in the update list. I hard rest my phone as I might be able to install them 2 but no luck. Now the phone seems to be working fine and the SW update says I have the latest software. Ovi update says I have the latest software.
