Feb 19, 2011I have just bought a Nokia E71 from a friend. For some reason I decided to delete apps I wouldn't use and deleted Top Hits Solitaire and Global Race. When I turn the phone on now it starts installing something and then I get a message saying "Unable to complete the installation from the memory card. To install remaining applications go to Application Manager." Could this be because I deleted the two apps? How I can find out what it is trying to install and how I can stop it trying to install it?

Mar 31, 2011I put on my SD card some photos to make a diaporama when I saw that I couldn't access to my themes folder. So I decided to reboot my E72 and it didn't want anymore to start. So I removed my SD, and tried again but I had the Nokia welcome screen and after a few minutes a white screen which empty my battery. I tried again a few time this morning and it makes the same thing. How can I reset my phone or make my phone working back ?

May 28, 2011if is it possible to make the screen auto-lock when you are talking to the phone.? (from the options in the mid of a conversation if found that you can manually lock it) i know that deactivates when you cover the light sensor but i believe its not enough cause all the time i find open apps on the screen because of my ear!!

Jan 27, 2012I have a strange problem. My E5 has the following setting for WLAN:
Ctr Panel>Settings>Connection>Wireless LAN>Show WLAN Availablity = Never
However, the entire time the background scanning is being done and "Select WLAN Network" popup comes with all the networks around me. I guess this is eating into the battery life and barely 10 hrs in the day, the battery dies out. I would like to add that I am a non phone person & hardly talk on the phone.
I am able to access the network service providers 3G network normally. I want to shut this background scanning for good and use only the network of my service provider.

Apr 14, 2012I tried to install the current software update on my Nokia E63. The update (109 MB) gets downloaded to my PC but after that I get the following error:
"Could not connect to the server. The software updates server could not be reached. Make sure the internet connection is working and try again. If the problem persists check your firewall settings or contact your network administrator. You can still install previously downloaded software updates."
I even switched off my firewall and tried, but in vain.

Feb 1, 2010My E52 has proble. After enanled function phone auto lock period 30 mins, I could not disable it. When i goto phone autolock period, change, select NONE, then it appeared error: phone unable to unlock.
I tried factory reset and reinstall software but still can not change. I have to enter lock code after every 30 mins phone unuse.

Nov 19, 2010It is the problem maybe No. 10 with my Nokia E72.Recently the log information ( missed calls , received calls and dialed numbers ) disappear with nothing done by me?
3 days before I checked the missed , received and dialed calls but I found no information ?!!, I thought I might delete them by mistake , yesterday at 0.00 O`clock I checked them ( no intention ) but also found no information.The big surprise that 2 hours before I had a missed call and dialed number , and 3 minutes before I had a missed call , I found the missed call but the previous missed and dialed call was not there?
note :I checked the settings -- log duration , and it was 30 day

Mar 20, 2011I'm using a PAYG with Virgin UK and it loggs on to T-Mobile on some occasions as there is apparently a network sharing between Virgin and T-Mobile.However, T-Mobile has set a bookmark www.t-zones.co.uk in the Nokia browser (and made it startup page so it goes straight there when you open the browser). The "delete" and "edit" options don't exist on this one. Auto-bookmarks are off in the settings.

Jun 27, 2011Was wondering if there's a way to edit the auto complete dictionary on the E6/Symbian ^3/Symbian Anna? There is an auto complete dictionary editor available from Beta labs, but is incompatible with the E6. I seem to remember that the trick in earlier versions of Symbian phones was to connect the phone in USB mass storage mode and then edit a file. Don't remember the name of the file at the moment. Does any one remember this?

Jul 29, 2011Normally i can start typing some letters on the homescreen and the phone will offer me the contacts that match these letters. Then i select the contact and press the button to call.
Since yesterday i can no longer use this function; When i type letters, i don't get any contacts. Only way to call my contacts now it to go into addressbook and select them there. I tried turning it off and on but this didn't resolve the issue.

Oct 23, 2012I keep getting the 'C' memory low message. I only have 17.7mb left I have most items on E mass memory. I Have gone through the C memory and the below are the only items with any significant file size. Config = 86kb, Log = 157kb, Mail for exchange 26kb, Place widget 17kb, Sound files 118kb, adimagetemp 12kb, Bur_debug 43kb, debug.log 21kb, ka3d-log.txt 89kb, MdfpluginArchive.txt 27kb, Everything else is eithr 0 or bytes only, with about three more less than 10kb each.
what I can delete safely. I am no expert, however I do not see why the above quantity should be using up so much on the C memory?
I have taken back to factory settings and transferred data to PC under Nokia Suite Make Space option.
