I'm using Nokia E5-00 for a while. Overall i'm very happy with the phone. But few days back i accidentally delete the ApplicationsInstallations folder (which is the folder where all the icons for new installed programs placed right after i installed them) And now everytime i install a new program it said install succesfully but i cannot find it anywhere in the Menu icons.

I tried looking for the rootfile, I think I was able to delete them, but they are still there. Where is the rootfile for the installed stuff in themes?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI always used the program Nokia Internet Radio on my E51.Trying to update the software, I uninstalled from the phone.I went to the link in Ovi Store, and I began the installation: it tells me"Nokia Internet Update 1.00(1)".It seems all ok, but, after "Completed Installation", the phone proposes me to delete"Internet Radio" (probably the same application?) and the old icon of the programdoes nothing.I don't see any new icon in the InstalledPrograms folder.

View 4 Replies View Relatedi installed the latest update 071.004 on e72, now text message doesn't work properly. i have to switch off and on once to recieve the msgs. most of the msgs i send will go n sit in outbox. i have to manually select each one and select send option in outbox to send them. Also found problems with bluetooth. send via bluetooth option doesn't work. it doesn't even search for the the devices available.I am also getting 'memory full-close some applications' error in messaging and also in the browsers.my phone has about 191Mb of free space and mem card(8gb) 5.6gb free.

I also managed to download and install the latest software for the E7. So far so good.Both the user guides (Eng. & German) for the E7 (Bella) keep mentioning some kind of icon which looks like this:

This is apparently the icon for some kind of Menu. From there I should be able to e.g.
Select "that icon" > Contacts

But on my E7 I do not have any icon that looks like that anywhere, nor do I have a button called "Menu" (which the Nokia website mentions e.g. as "Select Menu > Applications"..Izam at my wits end.When I switch it on, the E7 shows the signal strength and my Provider at top left, the antenna, a battery shape and the battery strength at top right, a "Go to Music", then beneath that, a globe, a square white box, an envelope and four heads (which wants to connect me to Facebook etc). lower down is "New Mailbox" (with Ovi etc), Phone Setup which doesn't offer me any options apart from the ringtones etc and images and at the very bottom Options ooo Call. The Options only allows me to see open applications, edit home screen, change wallpaper etc.
I tried many things, but not the right one I think, Ik can't find a flashplayer for my e7. I searched for the flash lite 4 but can't find whar I need?
View 4 Replies View RelatedThis is driving me to distraction on my Nokia E72 which I have been very pleased with everything on it, but the GPS receiver is pretty dire in my unit.I have access points correctly configured and tried just about every combination of positioning methods to no avail.Most of the time I end up having to set off in the car and sometimes the GPS gets a lock (having been set on waiting for GPS) and sometimes, it just never catches up and I switch it off. Worse, yesterday I started getting directions having supposedly got a lock, for all the wrong roads and directions as the phone thought it was somewhere else!This has been on good clear days and days where it has been overcast.Nokia Maps is set to online mode.How do other people find the GPS in the E72? My phone is on v81.003, I can't upgrade it to a later version as it says there is none.Mine is a SIM free unlocked phone from new.

View 5 Replies View RelatedMy Nokia E7-00 hangs every time I try to open Application Manager to uninstall applications - it says "scanning memory" and hangs there. Only way to come out of it is to hard reboot the phone. I tried reinstalling the device software from PC Ovi Suite and even though the reinstall completed successfully, it still hangs just the same as before. As a result, I am unable to uninstall ANY applications?

I am just visiting the US; I bought the phone unlocked in Belgium and it had a UK simcard in it at the time of theft. Is there anything I can do to stop the thief from using it with his sim card? I have done some research and have found that I could ask my provider to blacklist the IMEI number. But what's the point of doing that in Belgium as it got stolen in the US and is probably still here... Can't I report my serial number to Apple and will that then stop the thief from using the phone when he syncs with iTunes?

I have installed the Blackberry messenger on my Bold 9000. It's fully functional.I have 4 small icons now, indicating that I have new messages, but I can't find any new once.
Looking into this matter I found that in my Application Center, the BB Messenger is listed as "not installed" even though I installed it. Re-install also hasn't helped.i cannot delete it as "delete" is not listed in the menu. I'm also not able to see the application using teh Desktop Manager.
so my question are:
1) How can I find out what are the 4 icons indicating?
2) How can de-install my messenger now to just start from scratch?
I have bought a Nokia E71 from a friend and when trying to download something from the Ovi store it asks for my user name and password, but says my user name and password are wrong and won't connect. I am using the same ones I use to connect to Ovi on my computer and it accepts them OK. Could this be because the previous owner's user name and password have been stored somewhere on the phone and as a security measure it won't let me in with my user name and password?
Does anyone know what I can do to be able to log in to Ovi on my phone so that I can download an application? The one I want at the moment is Sports Tracker so that I can check how many miles I do when going for a walk. I could perhaps find it online and download straight from their website, but I do really need to be able to download things through Ovi if required.
