Nokia :: 5530 Unable To Find Installed Applications
Mar 23, 2010
I just wanted to clean my memory card, but I can't find any of the apps I want to delete, only the new installed ones. I've already tried the applications and they still work.
I just got my 9700 from Rogers, it came with OS v5.0.0.743 on it. However, I can't find the icons for BB Maps, Application Center, and AppWorld ! I checked in the "Applications" and it says they are installed.
I have a question about setting the default applications under Menu -> Settings -> Phone -> Application sett. -> Default apps. As I understand this, I can change the default application here. But I can't. I want to change the default webbrowser from the built in thing to Opera Mobile and the default music player to PowerMP3 but can't figure out how to do this as I only have the standard items when I want to change them.
Okay, I really don't know how to fix the following things because I already did a soft reset, a hard reset and finally re-installed the software. Re-installing the software helped for a week or two, but now these things are coming back again:
- My 5530 always fails checking for updates (it keeps searching endless). - Impossible to use Wi-Fi to check e-mail. - Applications are closing randomly (most of the times Ovi Store, Internet and Settings).
And something else: when I woke up this morning, my phone didn't want to start up, I tried turning it on and off, without success, so I removed the memory card and then he suddenly started again. After that, I turned my phone off to put the memory card back in and he worked again with the memory card. I just wonder what could be the reason for this.
I just bought a 5530 & mostly it works as intended. But I am having a problem trying to connect to a lot of websites, using wi-fi, not mobile phone network.I am on my home wi-fi connection, playing alongside my PC, which allows me to compare simultaneously. My usual method of finding sites for the first time is to Google the name, then click on the best link, then bookmark for later. (This is my normal PC approach.) Mostly that works, but I find with the Nokia that many sites do not connect. One example is "travelodge.com" If I Google that, I see a first hit with green address "www.travelodge.com/PHONE SYMBOL." Clicking on that link gets me nowhere, except a time-out message. I tried entering the address "http://www.travelodge.com/" directly, but get the same result.
The next hit down on the Google page is "travelodge.co.uk" with a green address "www.travelodge.co.uk/" Clicking on that link gets me right to that site OK, like many other sites.Other sites which similarly will not connect are "super8.com" & "ramada.com". It sems that when the Google hit shows a PHONE SYMBOL in the address then I can't get there, whether I try via Google or directly.
Nokia 'Mail' and 'Web Search' is not working on my Nokia X2-02. It says "invalid application" or "application is not ready". My phone's software version is 11.57(The latest version lol). I don't understand what happened to my phone suddenly.
I downloaded the Microsoft Apps 2.1 via SW update but it is not getting installed. I get an error as "Unfortunately there was a problem getting your updates. You can use your 603 as normal. Please try again later to complete the update". I tried more than 20 times now, but everytime I get the same error.
Is there a problem with Microsoft Apps for 603? I have enough memory on my phone to have this 45 MB application installed. I do not where the downloaded file gets saved. Does anybody know about this.
And how do I uninstall the previous version of Microsoft Apps from my phone, I do not see an option for that on the icon.
I am a NOKIA N70 ME user.Recently i formatted its memory card. Now the problem is that i have lost all the pre-installed applications, which came in MMC.How can i get back those applications?
when ever i do hard format in my symbian belle, i cant see the apps installed in my memory card while when i check the files via 3rd party app like x-plore, i found they r present. The application manager ie- in ''already installed'' also don't show any apps. Thus i always have to re install those apps and due to this some missing apps that r already installed in the card simply uses some amount of free space that is for no use So tell me if there any way to prevent the apps from not showing in menu as well in app manager after hard reset.
i m facing problem of recently installed apps that are not showing up in apps folder n i would say anywhere, but these are being shown as installed apps in apps manager n i have firmware 0.81 that is the latest one as it is shown in my SW update...
After I click on the Log in button an Error occured message appeared. It's saying "An unrecoverable error occurred. It might help to reboot your device" Im using a nokia C6-00 software version v 20.0.042.
I get a white screen for some seconds and then it returns back to application manager's menu, Every time I press on "installed apps" in application manager. Therefore I can't uninstall any application.
I installed internet radio on my N8 through Ovi store without any problems but when I try to add the internet radio widget to my home screen I get the message "Error occurred. Widget removed". The app runs fine only the widget is not working. I have tried to re-install but that didn't work. Running PR 1.1 on my N8.
When I try to enable bluetooth on my 5530 XP phone (in Menu > Settings and Connectivity > Bluetooth), I get the error message "Unable to perform Bluetooth operation". Anyone else experienced this? I entered *#2820# and the phone says: "Buetooth device address c8979fd7f684". I think this means that the hardware is still ok and the aforementioned problem is probably due to some software issue, is that right? The phone is currently on firmware 20.0.080 and I am unable to update it to the current version (see another forum topic for that). The phone was purchased in central asia.Any help would be greatly appreciated. With the free Ovi Maps, I'd really like to pair my phone with a gps mouse and take full advantage of that. But without bluetooth, no chance
i m using Nokia 5530 for last 3 months, since yesterday i am unable to send messages as they are stuck in outbox with update"Resend at (say) 9:23" , i have done soft reset of mobile but the prob is not fixed as yet. i have checked with service provider and also my sim on other cell, it works fine over there, when i insert another sim in my cell, the problem persists/
I have a nokia 5530 and every time I try to play a wmv file that I have downloaded or a video I recorded I keep getting this error message : "Unable to play sound or video clip".Can any one help?
I've had the 5530 Xpress Music phone since the end of November 09 and It's already been back for a repair, phone is fine now.Since I've had the phone, I have never been able to access the internet from it, everytime I try I get this message which say's Packet Data not found. I have tried going into setting's and at the moment mine is set to:- Packet Date Connection is:- When needed and Access Point is:- None No mater what I set is on, I still can't access the internet.
I use Nokia N8,the challenge is that the RAM is small such that applications using phone memory thus making the phone slow.Every time i want to delete such applications such as maps,i get this message ''operation failed''I always ensure that the applications are closed before i delete. What could be the best way to end this and create space on my phone.
i have a Nokia C2-02 touch&type. Why i can't open some apps after i restore my phone? One of it is the COMMUNITY app. Everytime i want to open it, it says "invalid application. delete?".
I chose a free app from Ovi store and downloaded it, but cannot find it - where is it now? Also I get an error message when trying to open OviStore: "SecureWidgetUi: Laite ei tue toimintoa" Phone model E5.
I have recently released the PhotoBeamer app for Lumia 920. I wonder if this app is restricted to certain territories? I have a Lumia 920 and I cannot find this app in my store (neither in my phone, nor on the windows phone website).
