I tried to update nokia e71 phone to firmware 400.21.013 and it was unsuccessful. The phone will not turn on.
Is there any way to fix this by myself using PC + software or do I have to hand it in to Nokia Care?
I tried to install the current software update on my Nokia E63. The update (109 MB) gets downloaded to my PC but after that I get the following error:
"Could not connect to the server. The software updates server could not be reached. Make sure the internet connection is working and try again. If the problem persists check your firewall settings or contact your network administrator. You can still install previously downloaded software updates."
I even switched off my firewall and tried, but in vain.
Last night I was prompted by Ovi Suite to update the software on my phone and agreed - halfway through, the installation failed and now my E72 won't even power on. Windows 7 makes the 'device connected' sound when I plug it in through USB, but my E72 still refuses to turn on. I've tried connecting it to a computer running Windows XP but still no dice. I've done some reading and found there's a "3 finger deep reset" ('*', '3', and 'green phone' or 'caps lock', 'space', 'backspace' and 'power on') but none of these seem to be working for me.

I'm using NSU version 1.8.10en.Is there anything I could try to update the phone successfully?

View 2 Replies View RelatedDone a few of these now on my E72 so thought it would be plain sailing. Wrong. The process obviously froze, I gave it plenty of time. The screen said if necessary remove battery etc and reconnect USB lead which is what I did.The phone is now dead other than vibrating as you turn it on. I've tried a hard reset by holding shift, space and backspace while powering up but nothing (other than the vibrate).

I had recently updated my phone with the belle update,i have had the update for slightly over 2 days. This morning at around 6am the phone was beeping or something so i put it on charge, i was too tired to realize the kind of sound it was so i put it on charge and went back to sleep and found it off later on, i tried hard resetting it, putting it on charge, but it won't come on.I lost connection to my phone during the installation of the update but after doing the the installation process it worked fine)

But recently i found it from the website that there are new firmware release on october and i try to update but it always stated that my software are the latest and there were no new updates for my phone.
