I'm new to Macs and just bought a Mac book pro. I downloaded the BB desktop software and I'm stuck at the screen where it says to insert the device with USB. I have the BB USB and I KNOW it's connected because my BB is charging from the USB but the software isn't recognizing it.
I also read somewhere that it wasn't possible to sync with the blue tooth option, although I was able to at least get it to recognize it when I scanned for it (both from the BB and Mac).
As the title of this thread might suggest, I've been trying to find some way of SSHing into my MacBook from my Curve 8520, thus far to no avail. I can, however, connect to my friend's Ubuntu server no problem, so I know that the program I'm trying this with (BBSSH) works and I'm using it right. I've tried other software (MidpSSH, trial of PaderSyncSSH) but again haven't been able to get anything. I've tried playing with my sshd_config file but have yet to find a magic setting that let's me sign on. I have SSH enabled in my Sharing settings, and if I SSH into my friend's server, from that I can SSH into my MacBook. In other words, I'm irritatingly close. Has anyone used BBSSH to connect to their MacBook through SSH? If so, what advice do you have to offer?
Anyone else having Yahoo sync issues on their device? It seems like the last week when I delete messages from my Yahoo account that change does not sync with my 8530. However messages send and receive on the device.
Here is what I would like to do and did in the past with Media player and my HTC Touch Pro 2 - I created an auto playlist that selects songs that have NOT been listened to, a playcount less than one. (it doesn't show up in the desktop manager for media sync) I would like to be able to listen to stuff (causing a play count of one on the phone), and then when I re-connect to the computer have media player remove what has a play count of more than zero. This had some success with my HTC Touch Pro 2. It appears to NOT work on my 8530, it looks like NOTHING gets removed from the phone and there is no "auto" about it. The memory card is full, I listened to songs, re-connected to the computer and it appears that media player sees that the card is full and does nothing.I have had my 8530 1 DAY and have gotten many answers here from previous threads.
I have a Blackberry Curve 8530 which I was working fine with 250 contacts and 20 memos. I just updated my software to 5.0 1596 and when I was synching my blackberry with my computer I got the following message " The following changes from address book microsoft outlook will be applied t your device data in address book - 233 additions". When I click accept the sync stops and I got an error message - 0x80040fb3 and I only have 4 contacts and no memos.
This is my second blackberry curve 8530 and they both have the same problem, they won't play videos. They use to but now when I go to like you tube, or nothingtoxic.com, or even my video recordings it won't play it says an error has occurred media attempt failed. I use to restart my BB and that would help for a lil while now it doesn't work at all. How do I fix this?
I recently downloaded the app, "Priorities", and love it on my iPhone. However, it won't load onto my MacBook Pro and I would love to have it sync from my iPhone to my MacBook Pro.
We use a macbook pro to sync 4 iphones. How can I find where the backups are located for the contacts on each phone? I cannot locate backup files for the Iphones.
Im a Nokia N-8 user from Manila, who just recently upgraded my phone's software from Symbian Anna to Symbian Belle. I'm having error problems and can not synch at all, any of my Contacts, Calenders & Notes after the software upgrade. My macbook pro currently runs on mac OS X ver. 10.6.8, while my iSync is ver. 3.1.2. I normally connect both devices via bluetooth. Is there anything that I have missed out? Still can't synch at all.
I recently purchased a MacBook Pro (15" 2.5gHz) off a friend and am using it as my primary computer. When using iTunes, I click to sync my calendars with iCal and tell it to sync (along with syncing contacts, notes, apps, etc).Everything syncs perfectly EXCEPT for my calendars, which wipe the contents of my phone and replaces it with whatever is on my MacBook Pro. If there is one event or ten events on the laptop, they transfer onto the iPhone and none of my iPhone events transfer onto the laptop and are lost, so I am left to restore from a back up and try again.
I have tried using both iCal and Entourage. I had this problem once with Outlook on Windows 7 in which I lost all my calendar events but the next sync showed no problems. I have tried this sync on my Mac at least 10 times, trying to choose something different each time, but with no luck.
I have looked into this extensively but cannot find anyone with the same problem as me, let alone a solution. I am using Snow Leopard 10.6.4
I can't get my can't get my iphone to sync with itunes on my macbook. The Macbook Pro can't see the phone at all. The message on the phone is: Sync will resume when UKD60787-030 is available.
Trying to sync contact from Macbook to iPhone, iTunes sync didn't work at all. Each time I hit sync, iPhone still don't have same numbers in contact as Macbook has.
When I connect my iPhone to my new Macbook, it says it's already synced with another iTunes library. I don't want to erase anything, I just want to have my new Macbook to be where I plug my iPhone in from now on.
My old (two weeks old, replacement of an old broken one) iPhone sync'd just fine, but kept going off. The new one will not sync at all, nor will it save my email passwords.
I need to switch from syncing to my PC to syncing to my MacBook Pro. I have an iPhone 4S and a 1st generation iPad. How do I do this without losing information, etc.? I do have iCloud enabled on all of my devices. The thought of losing info makes me really nervous!
I am a first time Mac user, so have no previous versions of OS 10.x to fall back on, or I-Sync which I cannot seem to download anywhere.I cannot seem to sync my Nokia E5 with Mac OS 10.7.3 Lion, at all
I have a brand new Macbook Air/ Motoactv 8G ( ver. 4.55.78 ) and try to connect to Motoactv on the web. After the install of MotoCast and the creation of the ID I try to go in the Motoactv web side, but no way. I Have my Firewall OFF, under Sharing: Share your connection from MotMobile / To computers using Ports F100. Is there something more that I have to switch to sync Motoactv with my device?
I have a POP email account through GoDaddy and set up the account on my iPhone as well as on my MacBook under Mail. When I delete messages on from my inbox on my phone, and then I go open my mail on my macbook, the messages aren't deleted. How can I sync the macbook mail and the iPhone mail so that when I delete it off one device, it is deleted off the other as well?
