IPhone :: Sync It To New Macbook Pro Without Erasing Anything?
May 16, 2012
When I connect my iPhone to my new Macbook, it says it's already synced with another iTunes library. I don't want to erase anything, I just want to have my new Macbook to be where I plug my iPhone in from now on.
I recently downloaded the app, "Priorities", and love it on my iPhone. However, it won't load onto my MacBook Pro and I would love to have it sync from my iPhone to my MacBook Pro.
We use a macbook pro to sync 4 iphones. How can I find where the backups are located for the contacts on each phone? I cannot locate backup files for the Iphones.
I recently purchased a MacBook Pro (15" 2.5gHz) off a friend and am using it as my primary computer. When using iTunes, I click to sync my calendars with iCal and tell it to sync (along with syncing contacts, notes, apps, etc).Everything syncs perfectly EXCEPT for my calendars, which wipe the contents of my phone and replaces it with whatever is on my MacBook Pro. If there is one event or ten events on the laptop, they transfer onto the iPhone and none of my iPhone events transfer onto the laptop and are lost, so I am left to restore from a back up and try again.
I have tried using both iCal and Entourage. I had this problem once with Outlook on Windows 7 in which I lost all my calendar events but the next sync showed no problems. I have tried this sync on my Mac at least 10 times, trying to choose something different each time, but with no luck.
I have looked into this extensively but cannot find anyone with the same problem as me, let alone a solution. I am using Snow Leopard 10.6.4
I can't get my can't get my iphone to sync with itunes on my macbook. The Macbook Pro can't see the phone at all. The message on the phone is: Sync will resume when UKD60787-030 is available.
Trying to sync contact from Macbook to iPhone, iTunes sync didn't work at all. Each time I hit sync, iPhone still don't have same numbers in contact as Macbook has.
My old (two weeks old, replacement of an old broken one) iPhone sync'd just fine, but kept going off. The new one will not sync at all, nor will it save my email passwords.
I need to switch from syncing to my PC to syncing to my MacBook Pro. I have an iPhone 4S and a 1st generation iPad. How do I do this without losing information, etc.? I do have iCloud enabled on all of my devices. The thought of losing info makes me really nervous!
I have a POP email account through GoDaddy and set up the account on my iPhone as well as on my MacBook under Mail. When I delete messages on from my inbox on my phone, and then I go open my mail on my macbook, the messages aren't deleted. How can I sync the macbook mail and the iPhone mail so that when I delete it off one device, it is deleted off the other as well?
I swear it used to do this, but now any video that I take with my iPhone 5S does not automatically sync with iPhoto like the photos do. How do I get my videos off my phone and onto my MacBook Air?Â
I have email set up on both iPhone and MacBook (BT Yahoo) UK but when I read and delete from iPhone they will not follow the same instruction on my mail account on the MacBook. So I am having to do the job twice. Will do it if I read from MacBook and delete but not the other way round.
When a computer hard drive crashes, you can't do anything about it. Now I have a ton of photos on my iphone that I just can't get off it when I want to sync it with my newly purchased Macbook Air. This is one area where controlling everything end-to-end is too much.
my macbook air has died but i have synced it to my iphone recently and between the sync and now photostream should have picked up any photo's. My question is do i need to go to the trouble and expense of a data recovery company when i just want to retrieve my photos. Will they all be on my phone, i dont know how many were on the mac but there are over a thousand on the phone now so it looks likely
i want to find old pictures and text messages on my macbook from my old iphone. I know its stored somewhere in my mac because when i restore my iphone it gives me the option to sync it.
