Nov 25, 2011I'm using the bold 9900 and I got it just over a month ago. Four days ago I noticed a thin black line flickering across the screen and I thought It would go away because the phone didn't drop. This morning, it became two thin black lines.I have no clue how it came about or how to fix it and its really distracting. I updated my OS to the latest one and I also updated my BBM to the 6.1 beta. The phone didn't drop, the line just came out of nowhere.

May 30, 2012i have xperia neo gingerbread 2.3.4 kernel .62 i noticed a dark dead line on the top of screen which appears with dark colors for images . videos , games , applications ,,,, any thing falls in this site "i mean blue , red , grey , green ,.....",,, the depth of the darkness is proportional to the depth of the viewed color "i.e it ranges from faint grey to deep black ", i guess it's an issue of LEDs or something that couldnot emit those dark colors evidenced by not appearing with white or black i uploaded a screen shot with arrows pointing to the line i mean

Dec 26, 2011I have a nokia- c6-00 and its screen is black , the phone still turns on and off,when i touch the screen it vibrates, but i can not do anything like text or call because i can't see what im hitting and im not sure that its responding, i tried resetting it by taking out the battery, i managed to update the software without the screen, and i tried the reset codes in the sliding keyboard but nothing worked. is there anyway to fix it myself or do i have to take it to where i bought it?

When I tap on it, the screen goes black for 3 seconds and then nothing - back to the menu.However, when I go through Messages > Folders > Inbox and I long-tap on a message it gives me the option to listen to this SMS, and it works!The problem was solved when the original settings were restored but... it did not last more that a day or two.

Mar 4, 2010I am helping out a friend who has a Nokia 6280. She claimed that it's infected by a virus because her problems started after using a Bluetooth headset. I don't quite believe this as I've heard it's more likely to be struck by lightning than to have this phone infected with a virus. Anyhow, the problem is the following: When you power on the phone, you get the Nokia handshake, then the phone loads. However, as soon as the phone loads, a bunch of black lines appear to streak across the screen rendering it black. That's not a huge issue because it goes away after a few seconds. Now I've read this could be an issue related to the ribbon that connects to the screen, but the screen turning black does not occur in any other instance other than right after when the main screen appears. I can play with the slider all day and nothing will happen, but like clockwork the problem appears after the phone loads.What gives? The phone works fine otherwise, so what could the problem be? If you need any more information I will be happy to provide. I've uploaded a video of this issue here (using my 5800 XpressMusic at night - the quality isn't that great sorry, but it does show the problem). Pardon the audio - my kids were watching Spongebob Squarepants so you might want to turn the audio all the way down! I guess my question is two-fold:
1) can this in fact be the result of a virus?
2) if this isn't due to a virus, what is it due to?

Jul 13, 2010Is this the same as an upgrade swap? I actually talked to ATT via online chat, and they said once an iPhone 4 is ordered, its stuck to that line. But im pretty sure thats not true.So I want to add a line with iPhone 4 then once I receive her, put it on my primary line, use a dummy phone on the new line, and cancel data on the new line. It works out because I need a new line anyway, I have unlimited data on my primary line, and it saves me some $$ in getting the iPhone at full discount price.
The only thing I was worried about was being able to cancel data, but the ATT rep said I can cancel data at any time. And to order online, I would need to add the single line to my account and order it, once I receive it then I can switch to family plan.Will I need to do the same call ATT and give them IMEI's of everything to swap? Anyone done something similar?

Add a new family line and get an iPhone 4 for 199 and port out your old line and get an early termination fee of around $100 since she has had the phone for a year. Therefore the cost of a new phone is $299. AT&T said that I would have to wait 60 days to port the line back in otherwise it would be considered a win back.
