Cseries :: C7 - Can't Open Password Protected PDF
Dec 24, 2010I am using a C7 with the built in Acrobat reader LE 2.5. The application is unable to open any password protected PDFs. The acrobat reader LE 2.5 on E63 works fine.
Is there a limitation on the C7 application? Is there a workaround or any other app which will help me read pwd protected PDF?

Feb 10, 2012I upgraded my C7 to Belle now. Bad news: When I receive a mail or SMS that contains a link to a web page, I cannot open it. What happens is:I first get a notification sying 'Loading'. Then, one or two seconds later, it says 'Loading failed.
I am not 100% sure if this started with Belle. I installed quite a few application after I upgraded to Belle, so maybe it's one of those that causes the problem.
What I did, of course, was to check Application Settings > Default Applications > Browsing internet That's set to 'Internet', which I believe is what it should be. (I also tried to reset everything there, still nothing.)
I really, really, really wouldn't want to wipe the whole phone, re-install belle, re-install all of the applications.Is there a way to check what really gows wrong and fix it?

Dec 26, 2011 I just noticed that while sliding the screen from top left corner all the way to top right corner (network indicator to battery indicator), Open Applications menu pops up!!! I mean the same function happens as by holding down the menu button or just tapping options, open applications.Was this functionality always there, and I was the only one that didn't know about it? Feb 15, 2012I have a nokia C7 and a few daysago I made last updated Nokia Belle. So far so good, if not by mistake, I used the programand I tampered Xplore sis and in folders that you are confused. As soon as the phone hasproblems, I thought the hard reset would fix it and in part it was so, it was not for the fact that I can not access programs: Nokia store, Nokia maps, Shazam, Traveler, F -Secure, social, and probably others. I tried uninstalling Nokia store, but when I delete / uninstall nothing happens. When I try to open Photos app a system error appear telling me that there is not enough memory to open the photos and to close some applications. Cseries :: C5-03 And OVI Suite Map Update Bug
Oct 28, 2011Firstly, I've had a problem ticket and Emails with Nokia Support on the problem I'm about to describe and I'm told it will be forwarded to the OVI Suite Team to investigate.Basic problem is that Ovi Suite can not correctly register/recognise the maps it has downloaded to the phone.However the phone checks the server with it's map update function and reports back that they are at the latest level and no updates are available. Ovi Suite tells me correctly the maps I have on my phone but still offers the " 'gold star' Updated Maps Available" and if you then click this BOOM! all your phone maps are wiped out as the new maps start to download.VERY VERY annoying and expensive in time and financially costly on internet connections with limited/paid for bandwidth.I can confirm, as support have, that I have the lastest versions of phone software, maps software and installed maps.I've also done 3 clean installs (including running PC Suite Cleaner) and the problem still remains.As far as the phone is concerned it is totally happy with all software levels (after checking with the servers) and everything else works on the phone as normal.
I have asked if there are any internal logs/debug switches I can turn on to help diagnose the problem but am advised'for nokia use only' (or words to that effect).From an end user point of view this is very frustrating, especially the basic map update mechanism as once initiated all existing maps are wiped out on the phone.I think this should be changed if at all possible.Most people will want an up to date map for where they are or planning to go.However to have a map version of places you are likely to go at short notice (even if they are out of date) is and important backup/safety feature.To be forced to update all maps is really not a very user or server friendly feature.Anyway, any comments are welcome (do you have a C5-03 & Ovi Suite and see this issue?) and meanwhile I'll wait to see if there is a fix in the pipeline.
