Cseries :: Going Offline On Its Own

This happens for the second time since the last update (025.007).The phone seems to be working fine, but does not receive incoming calls and SMS's, not until I restart it. Since it looks to be working I couldn't suspect there is a problem. The Signal graph seems to be full. The only thing indicating the problem is the 3,5G icon that shows it is not connected. People that are calling me, get a the standard operator message that my mobile is either switched off or I am outside network coverage. And there is no way for me to notice this, until I get informed by some other form of comunication, that my phone is "turned off"

I'm not sure exactly when it started, but it was definitely recently. At random intervals, my phone will cease to receive phone calls, text messages, or voicemail notifications; and mobile data ceases to function. All this happens in spite of the fact that I still show connection to the network (network name, 3.5G, and several bars). I know when it happens because text message delivery fails immediately after sending and/or the mobile data indicator shows flashing dashed arrows, like it is trying to connect, when I use an application that requires network access.
What I find rather interesting is that when it is in this state, the phone will allow me to select Offline mode, but when I attempt to go back Online, it says it is not allowed. The only way I have found to get back online is to restart the phone.
I have all the latest software updates installed. I already tried re-installing the OS but it did not make any difference. I have not yet performed a hard reset.

I have nokia C5-03. I was silly and updated the software and the maps. Till the updating method everything works fine. After updating, the gps navigation does not work in offline mode (in online mode works fine). When I switch to offline mode (with only built gps, ofcourse without A-gps) -the c5-03 can find the gps coordinates quickly in my house, so the hardwer works absolutely fine - and try to give a target in car driving mode, c5-03 tells me that from this place there is no road available with car. In pedestrian mode the situation is the same, only the message is a little different. I tried to delete the cities dir, and rebuild and reload all from nokia suite with PC, but no changes, Offline navigation does not work. I rebuild the new software again, but without success. how to down-grade to the previous working fw?

i have problem in my nokia c5-00 that when i got a phone from shop it working nice. but yesterday night when i change the sim sign comes in "offline mood". then i put again the first sim but same case shows. my problem is that now my phone do not detect the any sim now.

I'm experiencing a lot of issues with my brand new phone using offline navigation.
It simply doesn't find any GPS signal. I tried 2 different apps for offline nav: Navmii and Here.
Using google maps under 4g signal it works but when I change country I use one of the 2 apps mentioned above (so that I don't pay roaming) and simply it doesn't find any satellite to connect.
I've also tried the application "GPS Test" and it's always on "NO FIX" status.
Usually my zone has a very good signal and I never had a problem with other GPS nav or smartphones, during 3 hours travel last week on an autoroute in north italy I never had signal.

Can anyone please shed some light on why Ovi Maps V2.0 was happy to operate offline on my E71 and show you all mapping detail when the newer version (3.03) does not. Everytime I open the app (in offline mode) there is no mapping displayed, only when I go onlie (which it will only allow when using my network operator (Orange) connectivity not my wifi, help here too would be appreciated) does it download any maps. So far its used 3.2mb of my monthly allowance and for liitle more than 10km of detailed mapping. Is 3.03 dependant on being online to have mapping data so you can scroll across map areas and zoom in to close detail or can this be in offline mode too? So far seems this 3.03 is a very inferior product when not wanting to be online all the time.

The Messaging app on my N97 will not disconnect from the network. I've set it to Go Offline, the connection is still active. I've set it to go offline and then Exited the app, the connection is still active. The only way I can make it disconnect from the 3G/WiFi network is if I set it to start manually and then my phone off and on again. But if I start the app once, the problem is back. If I set it to sync automatically during a part of the day, even if it's supposed to be offline and not syncing it's still online and using my connection. I like this app but it bugs me to see it keep my WiFi/3G connection on at all time, even if it's set on "offline" and if i exit it.

My previous phone Samsung Galaxy S3 showed all of my Picasa albums in the stock Gallery app after syncing at Accounts - Google - Picasa Web Albums, and all photos were available offline. A feature that irritates many, I know, but I loved it. Now in LG G3 it's impossible. I can only see them while online in Photos app and browsing through 50+ albums is very slow. In Google acc settings I don't see Picasa Web Albums, there is only Google+ Photos and that is synced. I assume that downloads thumbnails to a gallery. Is there any possibility to download albums and photos to the phone to be available while offline? I've tried several apps but non of them do the job. Apps tried so far:

But those only allow me to see Picasa albums while online. And I want it to be as before, to see full size pics while offline.

I would like to use my Legend as a GPS the same way I use my car GPS; ie without being online, and having an exorbitant bill from 3 mobile due to data downloads while roaming.

When my phone is switched on but hasn't been used for a few hours when I go to use it I find that it has gone into the "Offline" mode from then on the only way that I can clear this and use my phone again is by switching it off and back on which then gives me the option to come out of the Offline mode, I also sometimes get the insert the SIM card message having switched off and back on again.

I just downloaded OviMaps 3.03 and tried to use the navigation. After a few seconds it asks me to allow for access to the online shop. As I'm living in Belgium (where data plans suck and are far too expensive), I declined, then it stopped the navigation (going back to the map with no more guidance). How to get the navigation functionality without data plan?

I am having a problem with my new Nokia 5230. The offline search does not work in OVI Maps. I installed the newest version 3.03 and uploaded the maps of my country (the Netherlands) to the phone. I am able to pick a direction while using the map itself but when i enter an address in the search bar it give the error: no offline results found.Maps is in offline modus because of my subscription without internet.tried entering just the streetname, streetname and city, streetname city and country, different streets.

How i get my phone out of the offline mode i have just returned to this phone after a brief trial with an alternative, but i am having real issues in setting it up. Firstly my phone numbers which i know are on my sim card are not being recognised by the 5800, and i also have this offline issue. Will continue to scour this site for an answer, but if anyone in the mean time can put me out of my misery i will be very grateful.

i used wisepilot online and it works great..nut i want it to use in places where there is no internet connection. i think there is a an option in wisepilot for downloading maps to sd card and use it offline. but i dont know how to do it.

I just got a lg g3 from Verizon about 2 weeks ago. I have only been using WiFi since I got it I turned on my mobile data a couple hours ago and then tried to use the internet. When I tried that on the page it said that I was offline. What is wrong with my phone.

when turned on I see the logo that he 's charging when plugged in to the but once I uhm off. through the slide, I see no logo or that he 's charging. if I pull out and put it in the cable - and then he starts to repower .. I see the gray apple logo startup and PIN must then me SO my question is how can I just charging uhm .. without having to start automatically?

Acquired bb 9900 software version is 7.1 bundle 1149, 11 months ago but its now malfunctioning in a away that it just goes offline even though it doesn't show, no messages or calls come in and I have either to switch off and on or remove battery and return in which it works for a few minutes and again goes 'off line'. When I do cellular network connection issues sometimes blackberry ready test passes and sometimes fails.

I bought the phone 3 weeks ago and was shocked to find out it only worked online ... not at all the way it was advertised (imho).Nokia Maps ''always free of charge'' was the one big reason I decided for a Nokia loyalty rather then going to Samsung or Apple.
1. Is / will Nokia Maps be available soon for Lumia 800 in offline mode, like the good old Nokia I had for 4 years?
2. Is there a good alternative (is Drive really an alternative and is truly offline)?
3. If none of the above - which Nokia smartphone does work offline with Nokia Maps? I still have a week's time to bring it back to the store!

how well GPS works in offline mode for the iPhone 6 plus. I have an iPad Air and GPS works perfectly in offline mode for all map applications (e.g. Apple maps, Google maps). The prerequisite is obviously to cache or download the map area prior to usage. The iPad Air picks up the GPS signal very fast and it works like a charm! I mostly use that for offline navigation abroad. Does this kind of offline GPS functionality work equally well and fast on the iPhone 6 plus? Â

Just wondering, is the radiation reduced in offline mode? Presumably because there's no broadcasting of signals? Will it make a difference if the FM radio is used? Logically this will cause an increase in radiation albeit lower than in online mode.
