View 2 Replies View RelatedI bought the C3-00 a month ago and after several problems like phone attaching to the gprs on its own and firing all my credit, getting stuck for no reason when opening gmail with the gmail application, today I had to remove the battery for the first time trying to find out the security code - which no one set and which is supposedly "12345" by default (only not because it DOESN'T work) - because I wanted to reset it to the factory setting, the phone which two seconds prior that action - removing the battery - was connecting with no problems with my pc wifi now when opening the browser Opera is giving me the title error:
Failed to connect to the internet. "Verification of server certificate failed. Please check the date setting in your device"**bleep**?! I always thought about Nokia as a reliable brand, this phone is a MESS, bugs everywhere, and now this?!
A) I can't factory-rest the damn thing because I don't know the security code, security code which I never set. The supposedly factory code 12345 doesn't work.
B) After removing the battery the wifi is USELESS and the phone doesn't connect to the internet anymore. It goes to the nokia.ovi and the accuweather links and such, but the default browser (so ACTUALLY using internet)?? NO WAY..
I have a 6110 Navigator and when I try to update ovi maps, I get a certificate error. This is the first time I've used Ovi, and I managed to update to the latest phone software version. When checking for updates, it lists maps but is impossible to install. Is this being fixed?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have spent a few days trying to google a solution, including a few quite complicated (for me) attempts from the developers site but to no avail.I have been trying to install a few simple applications onto my E71, namely the Quick reboot app here (http://forums.asf-mobiles.com/Thread-Quick-Reboot-App-For-Symbian) or this reboot app(http://www.symbian-freak.com/downloads/app/3rd_ed/eqrestart_3rd_UNSIGNED.zip).Whenever I try to install I get the error "certificate error contact the application supplier"I have tried a soft & hard reset. I have set my phone to accept all, not just signed apps, I am running the most up to date software on the phone, according to OVI Suite. I have even tried signing a version of the app myself from info on the developers site. There must be a simple answer to this, people are developing simple apps for Symbian phones, how can we use these?

View 4 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone know of a way of getting the Nokia SU-8W to work with the Nokia E72? This keyboard worked fine with the E71, but to get it to work you had to run a separate piece of keyboard software that was preinstalled on the E71. There's no such software in the E72, and I've even tried downloading the software from the SU-8W support site but when I try to run it I get a certificate error. The E72 see's the keyboard and pairs with it, but won't actually use it.
View 12 Replies View RelatedI'm constantly getting "certicicate error. Please contact application supplier" when trying to install Nokia Maps 3.03 on my E63. I tried the following: # set date to 2008 # set software installation settings to "all" # set online certificate check to "off" All this didn't help. Does any one have any idea what can be done about this? tried to find out what firmware is installed but didn't figure out how to find this info. But there should be a way to install Nokia maps here.

View 12 Replies View RelatedNM on my E72 stopped today. The password is wrong, eventhough it is definitely the correct password. Other weird thing, the usernames somehow got mixed around between the 2 email addresses I have signed up. It worked just fine until about midday.
Tonight, I went to the NM website on my PC to see what is going wrong.I'm getting a warning about a wrong security certificate.Does everybody get this? I've never gotten it before, but it's been ages since I visited the NM web site.
I have E71 and E72 with latest firmwares, but when I go to web site using HTTPS, I got certificate warning (not trusted) if the certificate is signed by: "verisign class 3 international server ca - g3" How this can be happened?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am using a Nokia N97 with the v21 firmware. I am connecting to a mail server via IMAP, using the phone's mail client (not mail for exchange). This has previously worked perfectly, however now I cannot update my inbox and view the emails. When I try to update the inbox, I get a dialogue box that says "Website has sent an untrusted certificate". After choosing "allow permanently", the inbox does not update. The message comes up every time I try to update (even when I've previously chosen "allow permanently".
I can however successfully send emails via the SMTP server using the phone (IMAP for sending is restricted, so have to use SMTP). Does anyone have any ideas on why this is happening, and how I can solve it? I've also contacted the IT guys for the mail server, as I'm not sure whether the problem lies with the mail server or the phone, or both.
I can't install Nokia Sport Tracker on my Nokia 6210 Navigator because it gives me an error certificate. So, trying to update my cellphone, it does not have new update.? Nokia 6210 Navigator (RM-367) Micrologiciel: 3.25.124.04 (22 oct 2008) Code: 0569996. Looking the both same phone of my parents (Both RM-367), the version is higher 5.something and mine stays at 3.25 without any update... since 2008??
Ovi Suite and Pc Suite doesn't offer me any update. I'm desesperate (I've past a few days looking in google without solutions (for example changing the date of the phone, or configurate the application manager (all, no control online of the certificates,...) Nothing nothing... I'm thinking about flashing it with an updated software, ultimate action of a desperate man. it's strange that a mobile "updated" can't install a program from Ovi Suite.
I'm currently trying to instal Nokia Maps 3 onto my N95, and every time it reaches the install point the phone throws out the error "Certificate Error: Please Contact the software provider"..I was wondering if anyone can give me a hand with this, I have seen a few posts about this error on the boards yet no one has given a solution, I have checked my application settings and can't see any reason why it is failing to install over my current version which is v1.2 wk37 b05..I want to eventually buy more maps but I refused too until I have the latest version installed..
View 31 Replies View RelatedI downloaded a couple of apps from Sony Ericsson's web site including a game that I used to play on my Sony Ericsson Z520a phone previoulsy, called "Quadrapop." It's a free Java application, and there was a version specific to the Satio, which is also an S60 5 edition phone, just like the 5800 which I am trying to install on.
When I try installing it, I get a message, "Certificate error" followed by something to the effect of, "contact supplier" I have been able to install some other Satio Java apps on my 5800, but not Quadrapop. Is there anything I can do do get around this issue?
