Im in search of some help please, i want to download some themes and mxit but it keeps in giving me a error saying "certificate error contact application manager" can someone please help me urgently?
View 7 RepliesI'm currently trying to instal Nokia Maps 3 onto my N95, and every time it reaches the install point the phone throws out the error "Certificate Error: Please Contact the software provider"..I was wondering if anyone can give me a hand with this, I have seen a few posts about this error on the boards yet no one has given a solution, I have checked my application settings and can't see any reason why it is failing to install over my current version which is v1.2 wk37 b05..I want to eventually buy more maps but I refused too until I have the latest version installed..
View 31 Replies View RelatedI have bought this mobile phone for one month, and I can't use the app manager.I have searched in other forums but I didn't find any useful answer.So I going to explain my problems: Always that I run the app manager it prompts a message that says: "Operation fail" maybe it's not a correct translation, I have the phone in Spanish. Ok if I press the download icon it appears that there are not available applications, if I do the same with the update icon appears the same text and the "operation fail" message.If I try to download anything from the OVI or from maemo.org, It start to do it but a few second later it pront the next message: "Impossible download ........" "don't find the package from the app" this appears with everything I try to download.Someone can help me? maybe I need to do something in my mobile.The only thing I have done is upgrade it to the software version: 10.2010.19-1

This is the first time I've used Ovi, and I managed to update to the latest phone software version. When checking for updates, it lists maps but is impossible to install. Is this being fixed?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI have spent a few days trying to google a solution, including a few quite complicated (for me) attempts from the developers site but to no avail.I have been trying to install a few simple applications onto my E71, namely the Quick reboot app here (http://forums.asf-mobiles.com/Thread-Quick-Reboot-App-For-Symbian) or this reboot app(http://www.symbian-freak.com/downloads/app/3rd_ed/eqrestart_3rd_UNSIGNED.zip).Whenever I try to install I get the error "certificate error contact the application supplier"I have tried a soft & hard reset. I have set my phone to accept all, not just signed apps, I am running the most up to date software on the phone, according to OVI Suite. I have even tried signing a version of the app myself from info on the developers site.There must be a simple answer to this, people are developing simple apps for Symbian phones, how can we use these?
View 3 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone know of a way of getting the Nokia SU-8W to work with the Nokia E72? This keyboard worked fine with the E71, but to get it to work you had to run a separate piece of keyboard software that was preinstalled on the E71. There's no such software in the E72, and I've even tried downloading the software from the SU-8W support site but when I try to run it I get a certificate error. The E72 see's the keyboard and pairs with it, but won't actually use it.

I tried the following: # set date to 2008 # set software installation settings to "all" # set online certificate check to "off" All this didn't help. Does any one have any idea what can be done about this? tried to find out what firmware is installed but didn't figure out how to find this info. But there should be a way to install Nokia maps here.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI am using a Nokia N97 with the v21 firmware. I am connecting to a mail server via IMAP, using the phone's mail client (not mail for exchange). This has previously worked perfectly, however now I cannot update my inbox and view the emails. When I try to update the inbox, I get a dialogue box that says "Website has sent an untrusted certificate". After choosing "allow permanently", the inbox does not update. The message comes up every time I try to update (even when I've previously chosen "allow permanently".
I can however successfully send emails via the SMTP server using the phone (IMAP for sending is restricted, so have to use SMTP). Does anyone have any ideas on why this is happening, and how I can solve it? I've also contacted the IT guys for the mail server, as I'm not sure whether the problem lies with the mail server or the phone, or both.

Ovi Suite and Pc Suite doesn't offer me any update. I'm desesperate (I've past a few days looking in google without solutions (for example changing the date of the phone, or configurate the application manager (all, no control online of the certificates,...) Nothing nothing... I'm thinking about flashing it with an updated software, ultimate action of a desperate man. it's strange that a mobile "updated" can't install a program from Ovi Suite.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'v tried updating the software, but i cant connect to nokia update the catalogue. nither can i connect to the apps catalogues and same goes for the ovi catalogue. the error it gives me is connection timed out error. i connect through wi-fi, and i can use the internet through the browser, no probs their. their is another poster with this same problem, but the solution he got didnt work out for me. i updated throught the pc but the update didnt fix anything.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI downloaded a couple of apps from Sony Ericsson's web site including a game that I used to play on my Sony Ericsson Z520a phone previoulsy, called "Quadrapop." It's a free Java application, and there was a version specific to the Satio, which is also an S60 5 edition phone, just like the 5800 which I am trying to install on.
When I try installing it, I get a message, "Certificate error" followed by something to the effect of, "contact supplier" I have been able to install some other Satio Java apps on my 5800, but not Quadrapop. Is there anything I can do do get around this issue?
I've tried a clean uninstall and reinstall the Blackberry Desktop Software version 5.0 and keep getting this message Desktop Mgr exe: Application error - Instruction at "0x004e6535" referenced memory at "0x04480013". The memory could not be read.

But now a days whenever I open application manager it immediately gives the message "Operation Failed". But the window remains open. Even download from OVI was also not allowed before and after this message started coming.

I didnt even open any application other than that. even if i switch off and restart i get same error. also i am using the 2 GB memory card i got with phone pack. nokia memory card.
Installed faster application manager. But I don't see any icon for it in list of programs.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI did a partial restore using the Nokia Suite, selecting only the "Device settings an applications" content (I wanted to restore a theme that I wasn't able to download again without purchasing a second time). The restoral was successful and I have the theme back. The problem is that several other themes that I no longer want were also put back on my N8. I go to Settings>Application manager>Installed apps, however none of the restored themes are listed (they are all taking up Device Memory). how I can delete these items from my phone and thus free up the memory they are occupying?

When I am changing time to back certificate may not yet be valid, is expired or the phone date set may be incorrect". I am already done formating phone, memory card and updating.
