BlackBerry :: Can't Personalise Home Screen On 9900?
Aug 25, 2011
I was trying to shift round/hide some icons on my home screen (like I could do yesterday) but for some reason I don't get the option to move/hide icons any more.As it is a new phone obviously I've been experimenting - is there any settings or something I could have changed by accident that stops me personalising the home screen?
I've recently got an HTC Desire and although sceptical about the Android platorm I have been very impressed with how intuitive it is and managed to work out where most things were pretty quickly.
I am struggling to personalise the SMS/Email tones to indicate a new message. Also, I can't find how to personalise the alarm clock tone. is there an app available to allow me to personalise these tones?
Just discovered my home screen is blank, so I thought I had accidentally changed/moved it when I turned on "Easy Mode" to check that out. Switched back to "Standard Mode", but found my home screen gone, with a blank page in it's place. I found some directions on how to move pages around, making one a home screen. I selected the page I wanted as home screen and moved it to the page where the white house icon is highlighted. I was done but noticed nothing had changed. Home page still blank, so I did it again. I find that whenever I try creating my home screen page by moving it to the highlighted white house icon, the white house icon shifts to the left, remaining blank.
My BB bold 9900 keeps asking me to login to BB id because there is a new sim card inserted. But thats not the case. My phone went out of battery and when I charged it again it asked me this question. Now I'm at my last attempt and I'm 100% sure that I gave the correct password the last 9 times.. I even logged in to BB Id site with that password. But if I screw it up this time everything will be deleted from my phone.
I bought recently from a friend a brand new BB9900, french is not the menu-options, how can a download or a link to have french, since I live in Switzerland.
My blackberry bold turned off after being charged one day and won't turn on. i tried taking the battery out and plugging it in, but it refuses to turn on or even show any light on the screen. when its plugged in and charged, the red lights blinks for a few seconds about every other minute.
It seems that even though I have all the contacts listed in my Addressbook, Somehow the Contact name doesnot display during an incoming call.Call Lists though seem to identify the contact.I read some of the forums about Content protection.
My blackberry bold 9900 can not find satellites for gps. Every now and again it works bot only for a few minutes. Could this be my service provider which is vodafone australia. Or is it my blackbery?
The douns suddenly goes off and you can not hear the voice of income calls and other people on the other side of the line can not hear you. The only way to solve it is to pull the battery and rboot the device. There are many similar compliants in google
I've just bought a bb 9900 bold from Egypt (made in Hungary unlocked).but the problem is,in the second day after buying.for one time when I make any call I can't hear anything and then it got frozen.but after a few hours it sorted itself out and worked properly(and I did not remove the battery).I just want to know what happened and should I have to go to the shop and exchange it if that serious?
I can sign in via my computer using my blackberry id username and password but cannot sign in with the same username and password through my blackberry bold 9900. All i get is " unable to log in to blackberry account".. I have requested a reset but not getting anything back from Blackberry.
I cannot find option for hotspot on 9900. I'm check many videos online and should be under network option or wirelesses option, but there is no on my mobile. Mobile is brand new. how to turn on hot spot on BB 9900?
Blackberry Bold erratically stops calls, showing the dreaded "authorization failure" message. Then need to turn off and turn on device. Usually works, but without any apparent pattern, problem returns. Driving me crazy.
I have just spent ages on the support line talking to someone who didn't seem to know any thing. How do I copy the contacts from my bold 9900 to my new playbook? When I try to sync with my laptop it only offers media sync and the gives a message that I have not selected media to sync.
I'm switching from my old (but beloved) curve 8520 to a new bold 9900 and i would like to know how is it possible to (safely) transfer files (mail, contacts, numbers etc) from my old device to the new one. My idea was to do a back up of my 8520 and than upload it to the bold 9900. is that the right way to transfer file?
Any tips / shortcuts on how to transfer all my calendar /contacts / music / files etc from my old 9700 to my shiny new 9900? Also changing provider to have two sim cards (until Monday).
What are your procedures with the battery in this device? Should I charge it only when it automatically turns off, due to lack of energy? Should I let the battery run out of energy, at least, twice a month?
I'm using Nova Launcher. Whenever I exit my applications with the home button, it directs me to the homescreen selection/dial (not sure what the appropriate name is). . :/
It does it intermittently, and I suspect it's because the whole phone is lagging - too many little background things running I suppose.
Assuming it's the lag problem (making a single press lag so long it seems like a long press), what are some strategies for clearing out less necessary tasks the phone is doing?
Don't know what's happen. Phone isn't rooted. Normally when I flip my home screen and I want to go back to my first home screen I press the homescreen button. But now it doesn't do anything?
