I just got my first blackberry off of my friend, the didnt have a problem with it but as soon as I got it, it wont let me add my contacts to the address book...what can I do!?

Does anyone know how to purge this information?This feature has an unintended side effect of creating confusion when I compose an email message to someone in my contacts list, in that sometimes the remembered name of someone with the same name but a different email address pops up first, and if I am not careful, I can end up sending an email to the wrong person.The problem is worsened by the fact that there is some malware out there that has gotten hold of my niece's address books and sends me spam with the names of people I know using bogus email addresses on Yahoo, and the email program offers these names when I am composing a message, sometimes before the contact record for the person I want to email to. For example, I have received a message sent by y5e4dd645c17c@yahoo.com using my daughter's name (let's call her Jane Smith). Even though this email address is nowhere in my contacts, when I start to compose a message to Jane Smith, the autocompletion shows two Jane Smiths, and I have to carefully check to ensure the address being used is janesmith@someserver.com and not the bogus address above

The contacts were transferred at the store - but after I restored from my DM backup done one week ago - none of my other settings were restored. What did I do wrong or what have I missed? Sprint rep told me the backup restore would get my new 8330 back to being just like the old one - but it's not.I want to get my email settings, apps, ring tones, wallpapers etc, back. I don't want to have to create everything over again when I have a good backup.

The 8330m receives MMS pictures embedded and the 8330 receives an SMS with a link to look at the picture online.I know this isn't new but I haven't been able to find any solution to this if there even is one.
One thing I found is that somewhere it was said that the two phones receive different types of Service books depending on the model.Now, maybe this is a stupid question but I am asking it anyways .Can I somehow copy the MMS service book from the 8330m and put in on my older 8330 ? If it's possible, will this fix the MMS as an SMS link problem ?
On my gmail, I have another account (my school email) set up, so i can send from either address from Gmail, which allows me to avoid the crappy school email website we have..http://i33.tinypic.com/9k6q1x.jpg. On my iPhone, I can't seem to find the "From" dropbox in the Mail app, to choose which email to send from. Is it possible at all? (I'm jbroken, if it matters..)

I go in my Contacts and the eddress isn't there. Is this is known problem? It seems to have not been working for quite a while. Very annoying.

My Iphone 4s was stolen 3 days ago. I managed to send it messages, lock it and make it play sounds, however I wonder if Apple knows the IP addresses from where the phone was connected to the internet everytime it performed my remote commands? I think these IPs will be usefel in locating the phone since Location Services can be off, as in my case and the phone can be off most of the time....

I just made the move from a Curve to a Bold 9900. The conversion has gone extremely smoothly (and I love the new device)with one exception. I can't figure out a way to get my BBM addresses from the Curve to the Bold. All of the instructions I can find refer to screens that I can't find in the Blackberry Desktop Software.
There must be a simple way to do this transfer (and it needs to be simple because I'm not very tech literate).
I am trying to export my contacts to Outlook, but as I have 2 address books in my Curve 8900, linked to 2 different mails, the desktop manager just exports one of them.
One email account works perfectly (that is the one that exports the contacts), but the other is no longer valid, so I cannot manage it as I cannot access neither.
Is there any way to select those contacts as a block, and copy them even in the SIM or through the Desk top manager?
I resored a previously saved back up into my phone, now my email addresses will not work. even the link to setup the email address says no email addres available.

Today I stopped receiving emails and got a message from BB asking me to verify my addresses/PWs through the set up. Problem is each time I put in the details it says 'Username is invalid. A user name must be at least 4 characters.' it's a full email address so is more than 4 characters!

If i try and find a direction to say a friends house, Via the address in my contacts the search result either shows nothing at all OR another address with a totally different post code in a different location!
The only way i can get directions is if i type in the name of town on it's own.And it doesn't always find that! In the search facility.It gives an example:10 downing st london uk. And it finds and gives directions fine! But if i for example type in 'buckingham palace london uk' nothing!!
Am i expecting too much? or should i get directions to an address as long as i supply house no,street name, town and postcode! Surely this is how gps is supposed to work.

Earlier I synced Contacts, Keychain and Calender on my Mac, iPhone and MobileMe. I made sure that I selected the option to have the data on the Mac replaced. Calender and Keychain synced correctly, however, Contacts on MobileMe and iPhone were lost and replaced with the Contacts on my Mac - which were none. I have no idea why this happened and I have no back up because I to do an erase and install of Leopard today. It isn't such a disaster as I have most of the contacts saved in other ways. is there any way I can copy or transfer the email addresses in my Mail App to the Contacts App? It is easy to do on received emails, but I can't figure out how to get the 'saved' email address to come up with the option to Create A New or Add To An Existing Contact.

I can't seem to find a way to add e-mail addresses to my g-mail app. I cant find it in the user guide or maybe I'm just missing it. This is my first smartphone. With texts I'm dealing with phone #s. I want to put some contacts from my laptop onto my S-5.
I fixed the problem. Exported address book from desktop to folder, then attached to email and sent to smartphone.
How can I delete addresses from the maps app?

I have a problem with creating new email. In the past when ever I would write a new email I would get list of suggested email addresses in the "To" field. For example, if I would was to write the letter S I would get the email address of the people in my address book whose name starts with an S (sam, Sofia etc). For some reason this feature stopped working on my phone and I can't find how to make it work again. If I want to send an email I need to manually write the email address in the "To" field. The auto suggestion feature works perfectly on my wife's phone (an E72 with the same firmware - 22.007) but on my phone it won't suggest email addresses from my contacts.
Another problem is that my Gmail that is synced to the phone, through the Nokia Messenger server is locked on "hide emails older than 2 weeks". Now, I have hundreds of emails stored on my phone that dates to February 1st - the day I got the Phone! Is there a way to delete these emails automatically, without deleting them on the Gmail account itself? It makes my phone really when going through the emails.
I performed a hard reset on my Nokia E72 last night.The problem I am encountering now is when I try to add my email addresses back to the Nokia messaging Program it keeps asking me for the password.Even when I enter the correct password it just keeps asking for it over and over again.

Do you think they could have used a similar exploit to get the e-mail addresses of pre-ordered iPhone 4s and sent out that June 23 e-mail? Just a thought... It seems pretty on-track with other "trolls" they've done to groups of people.
