BB Software :: Total Contacts Differs In Outlook To It?
Sep 30, 2010
I noticed on my BB that a few of my contacts were missing and I have been trying to find out why. In order to make my BB and outlook the same I exported all my outlook contacts into a spreadsheet and then all my BB contacts into a spreadsheet.I then compared the two spreadsheets. About 30 errors were found(missing ones from both lists...)I then updated the outlook spreadsheet to get it correct. I then turned off wireless syncronisation on my blackberry and deleted all my contacts.I then deleted all my contacts from outlook. I then uploaded all contacts into outlook and made sure the total in the spreadsheet matched the total in outlook.
I then turned on wireless synchronisation on my BB. After the sync finsihed I have ended up with about 30 more contacts on my device than in outlook. Scrolling through I can see which ones are repeated but cannot figure out why. There does not seem to be a pattern in the duplications... e.g. like each person mentioned twice has two email addresss phone numbers etc. And I also have no idea if all my contacts have been copied across (I know I could manually check this but I dont really want to!)I am using office 2007. BES 4.1.5.24. My device is an 8520. v4.6.1.314 (platfrom 4.2.0.135)
Trying to Sync via PC patch cable the BB Address Book (Contacts) with MS Outlook Contacts.Set-up failing apparently because wireless data sync with the Bold is turned ON. Can't locate referenced setting on the device to turn OFF.
I have an IPhone that syncs to my Outlook 2010 via Exchange. The email and calendar syncs automatically. I would like to sync my contacts but currently have that setting turned to "off" because I want to add my Outlook contacts but not lose my contacts on my phone. If I sync the contacts will it just add the new ones and not overwrite the existing contacts on my phone?
I want to sync my Outlook contacts with my HTC One but so far have not been able to do so. I tried HTC Sync with no luck, Any good (and not to complicated way) to get my contacts from Outlook to my phone?
I am trying to put the contacts from my Blackberry Tour onto Outlook. Whenever I open up the desktop software and try to synchronize my phone or alter the sync options, it says something along the lines that I must be able to access the internet to perform the action. Why would it say this when I clearly have internet access?? Help needed greatly, I need to perform this action so I can go ahead and send my phone to the person who bought it from me.
I have all my contacts on my iPhone. How do I get these contacts into MobileMe and Outlook 2007? When I right click the MobileMe application and select Sync Now, it doesn't sync any of my phone contacts to MobileMe or Outlook. How do I do it?
Trying to Sync via PC patch cable the BB Address Book (Contacts) with MS Outlook Contacts. Set-up failing apparently because wireless data sync with the Bold is turned ON. Can't locate referenced setting on the device to turn OFF.
I have tried multiple times to sync my contacts from outlook to my BB Bold. It shows complete on my BB Desktop but the phone has been stuck on the sync screen for about an hour and a half now.
I just switched from a PC to Mac Air and downloaded BB Desktop to my Mac so that I can sync contacts, calendar etc. What happens is that it automatically syncs to Apple and not to Outlook and there is nowhere I can change the settings. I lost all my info on the BB so had to sync with my old PC again..
I have the BB Curve 8530. A long time ago this once worked and I had 126 contacts on my cell and in outlook. 2 crashed laptops later I have never been successful to get those 126 contacts back in Outlook. I have 2 email accounts set up on my Blackberry. I have tried deleting the service book, deleting and reinstalling the BB Desktop Software and it will only sync the contacts from my gmail account (26 entries) and not the one from my verizon (126 entries)
I use a BB Torch (NO keyboard model); I use Win XP?I have been using outlook for my contacts?I have been synchronizing the same with Black berry contacts over some time Now suddenly I am unable to synch When I connect the device and try to synchronize (from organizer tab) The bb desktop software on PC says "Sychronisation is currently unawailable for address book because the application(s) is (are) configured for wireless synchronization. Desktop synchronization for the above application(s) will be disabled.
I've opened the device and disabled wireless synch from Contacts -> Options -> Desktop -> Wireless synch -> check off, still nothing happens ? I've logged off and on the computer what else should I do ? Switch off device and reboot ? Remove battery on device and re book ? In my iphone I've got numbers of individuals who own more than one phone numbers and unfortunately when I sync outlook with itunes it doesn't take the other numbers but takes only one mobile number and saves it. I've tried downloading the latest itunes, and also refreshing sync history.I'm using iphone 3GS 3.0 FW. How can i make sure that all the numbers get transferred?
I got both my iPhone and iPad sychronized with my outlook exchange account in my company. This setting has been applied over a year and I re-added the account after i got a 4S. However, outlook contacts started to duplicate (some up to 10 times) from 8xxx contacts to 9xxxx contacts since 2 weeks ago. I didn't turn on iPad and I consulted the IT department they said they needed to disable activeSync on my account to test first. Do you know if it's iPhone/iPad problem or ActiveSync problem? What I can do? I did try to remove all contacts in Outlook and restored a backup (8xxx contacts) but after a while, the outlook contact started to duplicate again and even generated up to 6xxxx contacts again.
I cannot sync my contacts with Outlook. iTunes says that it has synced contacts, but it has not. My Outlook contacts do not change to match my iPhone contacts and vice versa.
I am running iPhone 4 with iOS 5.1.1 Windows 7 Professional SP1 64-bit iTunes 10.6.1.7 Microsoft Outlook Professional Plus 2010 32-bit My Outlook calendar syncs just fine.
Also, I could not sync my contacts with Google either. Neither Outlook nor Google works. I have reinstalled iTunes and followed all of the directions found on this forum to no avail.
I inadvertently changed something and my iPhone will not sync with my Outlook for Mac Contacts, but now defaults to my Mac Address book (which I don't use!)Can someone tell me how to steer the sync for my iPhone back to Outlook Contacts?
Is RIM going to fix the problem with latest device update? With the newest update,it kills the syncing of contacts with Outlook. I had to down grade just to get it working again. Gives my a pause when thinking about getting the Playbook, "Will I have issues since I can't upgrade my device?" Rim doesn't seem to have a solution for this, Verizon doesn't have a solution (except to send you a replacement phone)
I never had this problem before. I was syncing my torch contacts with outlook. No problem. Then I upgraded the torch. No I no longer have a default contact list, only AT&T phonebook. I am no longer able to sync with outlook. I can even figure out how to create a different contact list and make it default.
I'm on BDS and need to sync my contacts with outlook. I know that I need to disable 'wireless synchronization'. look at the option under either - calendar, task or memo. Strangely I can't find it in any of those.
I have an iPhone 5 running iOS 7. When I input a contact into Outlook (Exchange), it syncs and shows up in my phone. But when I input a contact into the phone, it doesn't export to Outlook. I've confirmed that my exchange account is the default on Mail/Contacts/Calendars. I enter a lot of business contacts off of incoming phone calls and don't want to be limited to creating them on my laptop!
I successfully set up the Exchange client on my E72 and can receive and send mail but I cannot find my contacts that are on our server at work via Microsoft Outlook. Phone support at Nokia was not helpful - very frustrating. My personal contacts synch with the E72 fine from my Mac using Apple Address Book and Sync. Am I correct in thinking that I can maintain both my Microsoft Outlook work contacts and Apple Address Book contacts at the same time? I thought the E72 was capable of this.
have an iPhone 3GS and 'upgraded' to iTunes 9.1 yesterday. My PC uses Windows XP running Outlook 2003. Ever since the download I can no longer sync my contacts or calendar. I have uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes, turned my computer off, reset the Sync history in iTunes and now restored the iPhone - still to no avail. Does anyone have any clues?
