BB Software :: Curve 8330 Device Software Not Supported By Playbook
Apr 19, 2011There is no update to the device software on BB Curve 8330! I just purchased the playbook and found out I need to have OS 5 or higher. I currently have 4.5 and there is no update offered by my provider! How can I get the OS 5?

May 25, 2015What a crummy weekend for the Music apps to start crashing - Memorial Day weekend when I'm driving so much. Google Music keeps crashing as soon as I start navigation in Google Maps. I tried Amazon Prime Music too - same issue. So, I'm thinking it's the recently-updated Maps app that isn't multitasking well.

Jun 25, 2010I don't know if this is using the battery or what.. but even apps which don't support multi-tasking yet, still show up in the multitask menu. I know how to close them from there.. but I forget that some of those apps would still be open (or whatever they would be).
If an app's icon is still in the multitask menu.. does that mean that it is using more battery?? I don't completely understand how that works.
BB Curve 83xx :: Transfer 8330 Backup Data To A New 8330
Feb 21, 2010My data port on my 3 month old 8330 died and Sprint gave me a new one today. The contacts were transferred at the store - but after I restored from my DM backup done one week ago - none of my other settings were restored. What did I do wrong or what have I missed? Sprint rep told me the backup restore would get my new 8330 back to being just like the old one - but it's not.I want to get my email settings, apps, ring tones, wallpapers etc, back. I don't want to have to create everything over again when I have a good backup.

Mar 12, 2010I have two Blackberry 8330's here. One is a 8330 and the other is a 8330m. The 8330m receives MMS pictures embedded and the 8330 receives an SMS with a link to look at the picture online.I know this isn't new but I haven't been able to find any solution to this if there even is one.
One thing I found is that somewhere it was said that the two phones receive different types of Service books depending on the model.Now, maybe this is a stupid question but I am asking it anyways .Can I somehow copy the MMS service book from the 8330m and put in on my older 8330 ? If it's possible, will this fix the MMS as an SMS link problem ?

Nov 19, 2015I have had the v10 for 2 weeks and love everything about it so far (came from Samsung Galaxy S5). I am having an issue with music I purchased from Amazon. Even though I have downloaded it to the phone via the Amazon Music app, it does not show up in my music library via the music player. I went in through the file explorer and I can see the folders but they are empty. Do I try deleting them and re-downloading? It only seems to apply to a few songs purchased just before I switched phones. I had most everything on my SD card on the S5 and simply plugged that card into my v10 (as I wait for my 200 GB freebie card )...

My 2-year contract ends in November, but I am eligible for upgrade now. If I upgrade now. Does the new 2-year contract start from the day I upgrade? Or it's an additional 2 years after my expiring-in-Nov contract?
And why I am not considered "Add a new service plan" and instead I am just "Upgrade for existing customers"? The price point on Amazon is different these two types.

On Amazon I can only get a new family plan if I upgrade by choosing "I am part of an existing family plan" then I can only get the phone for myself. How can I get all the phones for my existing family plan? And why this option is $200 instead of $100 for existing individual account?
Galaxy S5 :: Amazon MP3 App Wants To Send Error Report
Feb 3, 2015Got Android OS 5.0 lollipop update today 2/3/2015...on my SamGS5900v...all seems well except the Amazon MP3 app was misbehaving when using Screens hot one hand swipe across the screen. Each picture I took caused this app to want to send err report ...I hit send and then it came up with several apps to select how I wanted to send... but none of them worked and the another notify window says Amazon MP3 app crashed closed somewhere along the way while in this app...it started a Cloud download which I killed by forcing stop and disabling.
locating the app version number; and got a newer version of the Amazon Music with Prime version. When I downloaded/ installed that version, it automatically wiped over the previous version which was still disabled when the new one installed. All traces of the previous version were gone.Why didn't the 5.0 Update, Find and replace, or just Uninstall Automatically?This tells me a lot about many of the "Improvements?" Are Really applied.I have also found 2 more Apps that were misbehaving and applied same solution of finding version number and going to originator to replace with newer version.No uninstall, No Update.

IPhone :: It Does Not Sync New ITunes Music That Came From Amazon
Jun 9, 2012I have purchased 4 MP3 music albums from Amazon. Their MP3 downloader software automatically ports the music over to iTunes, and the tracks appear in my iTunes library on my PC. However when I synch my iPhone this music does not move over to my iPhone.
My iPhone options include "manually manage music and videos" - is this a possible factor? When I check under Music, there is an unchecked box by "Synch Music." However if I check this box it will synch the entire music library.
My music from iTunes downloads or CD imports has always synched with no problem, so I am wondering if this problem has to do with the source being Amazon.

Jun 9, 2011I noticed that I was no longer seeing any updates for apps downloaded from the Amazon app store. To be clear, this is not the Android Market but the Amazon Appstore for Android.After the upgrade, I did have to login to the Amazon Appstore, but could use and download apps fine.I saw some posts in various places regarding people having trouble running apps they had download from the Amazon Appstore. They were told to delete and re-download the Appstore and login again. That didn't seem to have any effect for me.
I noticed that under my account in the Appstore, I had 3 devices registered with names close to 'Motorola Droid X'. I deregistered all of them and signed in again, from the phone, just to clean up all of those devices.Still no updates present when looking at the Update Available option from the Appstore.The last thing I did was go to the Amazon Appstore on the phone, select menu and My Apps, then press the Refresh Icon towards the top of the display. Then select the Update Available option (as I'd done many times previously) and the apps that I was expecting to have updates, all showed up.

Jun 19, 2012When I uprgraded my Xoom wi-fi to ICS, Amazon Prime videos became totally unviewable. I almost gave up ever being able to use the Xoom for viewing streaming videos again. Then I read, on this forum, that Adobe had upgraded Flash and that now the videos should be okay. I have since watched bout 4 or 5 videos and they were very smooth without a single hiccup or sign of dropped frames. However, I tried to watch "Explorers" and it is totally unviewable with jerky sound and blocky video. I tried restarting it several times with no change. Then I picked a different video, also on Amazon Prime, and it worked fine.

In one of his many recent litigation attempts to stab Android with a wooden stake, it seems he came up empty handed.Today, Apple's preliminary injunction filed against Amazon for naming the Android AppStore was denied in court. I guess Mr.Jobs doesn't own everything he thinks about or writes on a napkin. Here is the press release today:"The court finds that Apple has not established a likelihood of success on its dilution claim. First, Apple has not established that its "App Store" mark is famous, in the sense of being "prominent" and "renowned." Jan 19, 2012i have a wifi only xoom running android 4.0.3. yesterday i got the ics update and my ability to watch video from amazon on my xoom in my browser went bad. prior to the update it worked on and off but when it had problems they were never like this, and when it had problems they showed up on all computers i own that tried to use the service. the problem on the xoom tablet continues today. the video is pixelated and very choppy. the audio is very crackly and popping. this is not the way it worked prior to the upgrade.
i can watch the same video on my desktop chrome browser and it works fine. i can watch it on firefox browser and it works. on the xoom i can use the andriod marketplace to buy a video and watch it and it works fine. i can use the xoom browser to view ted and Internet videos and they work fine. is it the browser, the ics update, or is the amazon delivery system antagonistic to ics? also i noticed a very sharp drop in audio volume output of all kinds once the isc upgrade had been done. i simply can not turn up the volume loud enough to hear it easily.
