I am ready to return the phone and go back to BB 9700. The Torch is great, but it's lagging too much and I have to pull the battery everytime I need to use GPS, otherwise, I won't get any GPS signal.
It's just my personal reference, I like the 9700 better.
Is there any way I can restore my Blackberry Torch 9800 to Factory setting?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have had my blackberry torch 9800 since march 2011, so that's 7 months.
while downloading bbm music earlier, just as it was finishing downloading, my phone switched itself off, and went to the black blackberry screen with the white loading bar at the bottom. it has been in a loop on this screen for about half an hour now, and i am very worried! the white loading bar gets to about 3 quarters of the way done and shuts down and starts the process all over again. i've tried taking the battery out, putting my phone on charge and nothing will help it!
My device/phone became unresponsive, so I took the battery our to do a full reset. Now the phone stays on a continuous loop trying to start. Blackberry Torch 9800.

As an avid business crackberry fan (and business manager) for over 3 years, I was appalled to find that I would need to slide the keyboard out to enter my security code, especially when I would do it 50-100 times per day. As every other touchscreen phone on the market has a pattern unlock method, this is the single issue preventing from purchasing this phone(s) PLEASE ISSUE AN UPDATE/APP/PATCH anything to bring this vital security & efficiency issue up to par.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI few days ago my phone lost all contact information, I went to my phone Provider and they advised that the contact were in the phone but all the information was in blank (very weird)
I tried to add a contact and the contact was in the phone for a few hours, when I checked the contact the following day, the contact was gone.
I restored my phone using the backups and desktop manager but all the contacts were missing.
I changed my gmail password today on my laptop.Blackberry then sent me an email telling me to go to my email settings under "setup" to set up my new password. However, whenever I try to access the "internet email account" option from the email accounts setup page, I automatically get transferred back to the setup page. When I tried to access "internet email account" a few times in a row, my blackberry froze and I had to restart it.Consequently, I cannot access my email at all since I cant even type in my new password.
View 3 Replies View RelatedThe first, when trying to go on internet I get the error message "Your device does not currently have any Browser configuration Service Book Entries. Please contact your service provider to enable the Browser on your device". The service provider says there is nothing wrong with my account.... The second, I do not receive any emails on my BB. I have tried to run e-mail setup but it never gets past hte "aquiring service connection" - an error message appears saying" Activation request failes. A service connection is unavalable". (When running the email setup I press setup, email accounts (1), enterprise account, check that the email addr is correct, enter activation password, and then activate).

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm an early adopter of Android (coming from iOS) and this is my first android phone. I've been reading and some posts suggest that I should do a factory reset after the update.
I wanna hear your thoughts about this, is it necessary? Knowing that android doesn't have a good backup system unlike iOS, it's time consuming to move everything back where it was. Do the benefits outweigh the cons? My G3 has never been rooted btw got no intentions to do so.
I have an unlocked One M8,EMEA variant running stock sense 6.Yesterday,i got the lollipop OTA and did install it today. Now, I heard a lot of people complaining about performance issues and overall lesser stability on lollipop compared to kitkat, on reddit and a few other sites
Factory reset recommended after the update, especially considering the change of runtime to ART and all those system level changes? Have any of you done it on any of your devices and Is it worth the hassle? Will the performance or battery life be any better?
Just looking for opinions. Waiting for our Sprint update that was (apparently) released today and want to do it right.

View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter I received the update, my phone slowed considerably. It may have been a result of some other things, but point is, it slowed. To the point where I was waiting for a couple of minutes for a simple text to load.I cleared out my storage to see if that would fix the problem, but that didn't work. Someone suggested a factory reset, so after a lot of contemplating, I backed everything up onto my HTC Backup Account (Linked with Google Drive) and went for it.Normally, after a factory reset, the setup screen should ask you, "How do you want to set up your phone?" Or something along those lines, and one of those options should be to restore from a backup. The name of this screen should be "Set up your phone" at the top. After my reset, I was just taken to "Setup Wizard", which gave me no option to restore from a backup, but only let me put in a Google account and gave me the option of restoring my contacts.
ALL of my important data is on that backup, and I have nothing on my phone right now.I've tried connecting with my Google and HTC Accounts, but there is still no option to restore from those backups.I've tried, through the HTC Backup App, to restore, but the option to restore from backup is greyed out because "you have already completed backup or restore on this phone".I'm extremely frustrated and frantic to get my data back. Without that backup/restore I have to reinstall every single app by hand, reorganize everything I had, and even somehow get a couple of contacts back, since the Setup Wizard's contact restoring didn't seem to be up to date. Even in doing so I would still be missing a huge chunk of my phone. Is there anything I can do? Why is my phone showing me the Setup Wizard instead of the "Set up your phone" screen?I have the 32 GB HTC One with Verizon, and the phone was purchased September 2013.
I am currently rooted, but I have a habit of reformatting my phone every 1-2 months to keep things fresh. Factory reset under settings while rooted? It's just so much faster and simpler that way if we can.
