BB Torch :: Any Way To Restore 9800 To Factory Unlocked Mode?
Sep 19, 2012
My brother had bought Factory unlocked torch 9800. He had screwed the software and had then installed T-mobile software. Now, my torch is not working with other carriers. How do I restore it to again factory unlocked mode?
The problem started when i had too little space on my phone (ios 7.1.1) to update to 8.1 so it asked me to make space for the software. I deleted enough off of my phone and started to download it over wifi. The ios update would crash halfway and say there was some kind of error and every time i tried updating it after that it would never update. Another problem is the fact that i have no sim card in the phone and it says "Searching..." and even when i do have a working sim card in the phone it still says "Searching..." So now i updated my iTunes on my desktop and am currently trying to update and restore my iphone. i first tried updating it without restoring it through itunes and itd stop at around 60 remaining minutes and ask me all over again if i was to Download ios 8.1 or Download and Update to ios 8.1 and this has been happening for 2 hours. Then i would try restoring it and it would do the same thing.
I was unable to make factory restore or recovery mode. Before i was using gevey sim, incidentally i didnt follow procedure then,my iphone 4 not recognising sim.
i had a blackberry torch 9800 which i backed up to the blackberry desktop then it was sent away for a repair and they replaced it with anew 9800 i have tried to recover everything from the desktop but it says i need the old blackberry first?
my 9800 was on vodafone but i got it unlocked so i put my orange sim into it, texts seem to work, not tried calls or emails yet but my bbm wont work, just comes up with little red clock
Just got a bb torch 9800. Had it unlocked as it was thru bell and my server is Rogers. I am able to get online and text. I can also use the phone for calls (uconnect works) the only issue I think I have is that I can not bbm or social network (facebook and email). When I check the service status it says bbis and bbes not connected.
I am ready to return the phone and go back to BB 9700. The Torch is great, but it's lagging too much and I have to pull the battery everytime I need to use GPS, otherwise, I won't get any GPS signal.
It's just my personal reference, I like the 9700 better.
I have just ordered my very frist ever blackberry anyway it is the new torch and it is unlocked and i have been assured that it will work fine with my (3 Australia network) and i manged to get 24 month australian warranty and i have changed my plan over already to ensure i get my bis + 1g(so it should be sweet). So hear is my QuestionsWhat problems can i expect with trying to get the phone to work and function properly? How do i get my bis account working? should i try and get the info i need of 3 now (to speed thing up on the day i get the phone) or do i need the torch in my hand?what else can i do now to make it easy on the day to get it going?
how I can restore the original factory settings on my Blackberry Curve 8310?I want to pass the phone on to a relative, and for them to start with a clean sheet so to speak.
I noticed an article this morning on BB7 phones, but I just had this happend for the 4th time on a 9800 running BB6 (last time was this morning).I'm getting aggrivated becuase my alarm isn't going off and its making me late for work. I'm leaving the phone on alL night now, which I would like to put it to sleep.
I am owner of a Blackberry 9800 Torch for about a year and now it does not startup. I turned the phone off last night and this morning it does not start up. I didn't make any changes to the phone so very strange. The behaviour is that when I take the battery out and it turns on, the load screen start but the little white line only starts a little (2mm line) and then it restarts and does the same thing and loop over and over again in this till battery runs out. I have tired to enter Safe mode by holding in the Escape bottom when the load screen starts or when the red light turn off but it does not enter Safe mode.
I lost my bb 9800, i think i have data somewhere on bb server because when i login on BB protect website i can see that in archived back up details but i'm unable to restore it. And when i try to restore on my new 9810 it says "This data is already wirelessely synchronized with a remote service and cannot be restored by blackberry protect" only for contacts. And i've archived the device by mistake n now it shows "Remote admin commands are not available on archived devices".
How can I setup zoom mode?I just bought Blackberry Torch and after the applications update, from my old device 8320, the function about zoom in and zoom out, using fingers, isn't working.Anyone know how to setup this function?
I got a Blackberry Torch 9800. I have an issue with the slider (or I think this is the origin of my problem), my screen don't want to rotate in portrait mode and I can't have the virtual keyboard, even when the slider is closed. I have tried everything, from hard reboot to uninstall all my apps, wipe out my os and re install it.
I updated my Blackberry Torch 9800 to the latest Blackberry V6 Software last weekend. My phone died yesterday and much to my horror I find that I cannot use safe mode as when I hold the escape key down the phone reboots before it comes up. So I have no way of restoring the backup as the desktop software will not connect to the phone while it is rebooting.
I have a new 9810 and have the old backups for the 9800. A great deal of information. I did find a way to look at some of the info in the backup but would like to some how just use the backup .ipd file to dump into the new machine.
I am trying to put my music on the media card of my new 9800 Torch. I first need to enable the mass storage mode. How do I do that?????? I cant find ANYTHING that says "mass storage mode" on or off. How do I turn it on???? I tried to sync some music to my new Torch but it went in the main memory not onto the storage card where it belongs. How do I make it go ONLY to the sotorage card. Is this something I have to do on the desktop program?
I just picked up a new Torch today. I've have a Bold 9000 for a long time and am used to dropping it into my belt case or pouch and having it turn off and go into in-holster mode. When I put the Torch in my 9000 cases it doesn't seem to do anything. Did RIM remove the magnet sensor and no longer have an in-holster mode? Or is the sensor in a different place and it won't work with my Bold cases? Am I missing something? I don't like having to click the lock button on the top before dropping into the case.
I switched iphones today with a friend of mine. I made sure that I had backed up everything to my computer AND iCloud before doing the trade. Did it, everything set up fine. Restored through iTunes and then turned on. I still had my email, texts, call logs, contacts and notes. But all my apps and songs are gone. How do i get them back?
So, I just bought a JB'en iphone 3g tonight.Went ahead and unlocked it using ultrasn0w.Connected it to my mac/itunes, and it asks "an iphone has been previously synced with this computer. setup as a new iphone -or- restore the backup of ***"So, since I had purchased apps using my *** phone (actually was an ipod touch that i got rid of), I'm thinking that I should restore the backup so that I can get my paid apps back for free.
Questions: -will restoring this backup to the new unlocked phone restore it to its original locked state (i.e. will i have to re-jailbreak/unlock)? or will it simply restore preferences, etc...? -otherwise, if i call this phone a new name, is there a way to transfer my purchased apps to the new phone's account?
if I restore factory setting to my iPhone, is it still possible to restore the backup from itune/ icloud to get the purchased apps and other informations?
