How do I pull my contact birthdates into my calendar. I did a clean wipe and restored my contacts afterwards but this did not sync with the calendar. Having around 200 or so contact entries would make it a tedious adventure to re-enter every single data one by one so I'm hoping there is an easier more automated alternative to my problem. I would really like to have my contacts birthdays reminded to me through the calender?

The reason being because my phone will not boot up onto the main screen and I have to do a factory reset. I have been taking out the battery and starting it back up for 2 days now and it still wont come back on. View 15 Replies View RelatedI'm a Blackberry 9700 (onyx) user. I have few problems that I would like to share. Please help me solving them if you happen to know the solutions.
1. Once every 4 or 5 days, my 9700 always gets frozen. Does it happen because I never reboot it?
2. And, everytime I do reboot or battery pull, the recently added contact details are erased from my contact list. But, recent SMS, emails, or BBM conversation are not erased at all.
3. When I open the contact list, it only shows one contact name (it seems like all other contact names are erased). Then, when I type any alphabet key, the contact list appears. But, still the recently added contact details (mentioned on problem 2 above) are missing.
Is it because I never update my platform version? I'm currently using version 5.1.0.91 and the BBM is the 5.0.0.330 version.
Was able to play with the Torch last week at the AT&T store by Grand Central Station in NYC (43rd and Lex). Went back today, and it's gone. Also no display in the AT&T store by my work on Times Square. Any reason why they're not out anymore? Is this a nationwide thing? Perhaps the software was pre-production and AT&T/RIM wasn't happy at the performance in the store?

My contacts have been lost, but the apps and themes are still there.
So I tried restoring my contacts from a backup that I took on the 27th of August but here is the message I get when I try to do the Restoration was an error restoring.There could have been a problem with the device or connection during the restore. Verify that the dvice is turned on and connected.I tried restarting my computer and doing a battery pull but no luck and it is the same cable and port I always use...

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have bought a Torch, but cannot get it to set up in the Organizer configuration to sync with my Calendar in MS Office XP- Outlook. My computer runs Windows XP. The contacts and memo will configure (although) they are posting to an archive folder and when I try to change that I get Error 0x80043bea), but the Calendar and Tasks will go through the set-up process, but when you finish it, the checkmark on those 2 Outlook folder disappears before you can even select the advance settings.I have re-set the configuration on the Desktop software a couple of times, to no avail, and uninstalled the Desktop 6.0 software and reinstalled it. None of these measures have changed the problem.Any suggestions?

1. I set up my personal e-mail address and have that working great. Today I set up my work e-mail address via the enterprise server. My question is can I get those work e-mails to go into a specific e-mail folder rather than the catch-all message folder (which drive me nuts and is hard to read)?
2. I thought that once I set up the enterprise system it would automatically download my work-base calendar and contacts (Microsoft office) to my phone. Is that not the case? Is there something I'm missing? Am I supposed to download the bb software to my work computer as well and sync?
3. Is there a way to get my sent e-mails to go into a sent e-mail folder for the respective e-mail accounts? Or is there a way to format the look differently?
When I make an appointment in my calendar - lets say a DR appt, I would like to link in the contact so that I have the map/location in the appointment - is this possible? I don't want to do the traditional invite to an event thing - just have the contact info there in my calendar.
My dream of dreams is being able to long click a contact and have an option in dropdown for add to calendar or some such - so that I have everything there - phone map etc..

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am using Gmail Calendar. I have subscribed to the "Contacts' birthdays and events" calendar using the Gmail web interface. The Android Calendar App lists this calendar as synchronized and visible. Unfortunately, the anniversary, birthday, and other events from the calendar do not display. I purchased the CalenGoo App to troubleshoot this issue. CalenGoo also fails to display the the "Contacts' birthdays and events" content via the Android account. However, if I manually add my same Gmail account to CalenGoo and allow it to sync independently, then the events appear as expected. This indicates that Android is not actually synchronizing the events from this calendar, although the UI reports that it is.
I have tried deleting the Calendar Data from the phone, removing and re-adding the "Contacts' birthdays and events" calendar in Gmail, and re-syncing on Android various times. These actions had no effect.Is anyone with a Motorola Atrix HD seeing this behavior, or getting the contact birthdays and anniversaries to display?
I see with the ICS update, Motorola has added (back) events to contacts, like birthdays, anniversaries, etc. However, I can't seem to get these to display in my calendar.
Under Calendar... Menu... Calendars to Display, I managed to figure out how to add "Contact's birthdays and events", and it is checked, but they still don't actually display in my calendar.
BTW, I assume that a birthday of like 9/15/1990 will show up in the calendar on 9/15/2012. I am using the stock ICS contacts and calendar (no extra apps). Has anyone gotten this new ICS feature to work?
I do have a new Vivaz Pro. With my old P990i I am used to get a question of do a calendar entry when I did a new contact with birthday date. I am quite disappointed to see than in a new mobile like Vivaz Pro there is this function not integrated. I hope a lot of people would like this function back too. And SE would implement this in a new firmware upgrade.
